Just dropping in real quick to let you all know that I lost 1/4 of a pound this past week. I have had a really long day at school and then sat through an hour long TOPS meeting tonight, so I am off to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow. Have a great Wednesday!

Kerry- congrats! a loss is a loss! pretty soon you'll be in onderland!

"birth monster"
No problems with the birthmonster here- haven't heard from her in years! Worried about a backlash when they put our marriage license info in the paper- she still lives in MIL's town and we were getting our license there. but so far so good- nearly 2 years, that I know of with no contact.

Daphne, I'm sure you don't need my reassurance, but still, you are more of the mom then she'll ever be to Robert!

Kandice tgat us what I was saying. I don't wanna go to Curves. I woke up with a bad cold and fought with DH so went back to bed and slept 2 more hours. Well around 11:30 I said OK woman u have to go. Guess what? When I got there it was not so bad! Now I have done my Curves and have it out of the way. I am ready to have my lunch so I am a happy camper! Oh I want to hear how Curves went for you today!
Kerry congrats on the 1/4 pound. A loss is a loss remember. If you had gained 1/4 that would of had you up 1/2 pound so losing 1/4 is great! Did that make sense?

I went at lunch time- 12:00- saw Vicky- my inspiration. she was in my diet class and I hadn't seen her since diet class ended. they put up a kite for her- she lost 40lbs and 37 inches and I was amazed. I wanted to see her!!! well finally saw her today and wow- she looks good. she has about 70 more lbs to go I guess, but man she looks good. and the best part about it is when she went to the dr before he told her she was boarderline diabetic and she was going to need meds if nothing changed. she went back and she's not boarderline anymore. she still needs to watch obviously but still. that's a great accomplishment!

and I felt incredibly shallow next to her- I'm losing weight for my wedding. I mean, I need to lose weight anyways but the wedding was a huge motivator but I didn't have any health problems per se.

Evening Ladies,
My day went okay. I was off plan eating wise today due to my TOM starting today. But I made myself really go into Curves tonight to workout. I am so glad that I did. Cause now I am not wanting to snack all evening. In fact, I am waiting on my dh to get done with his dinner so we can go for a walk.
I know what you both mean about not wanting to go today to Curves. I had to make myself go tonight.
Well my dh is done eating so I best head out the door. Talk to you all later.

ugh- TOM... supposed to make an appearance today- and up 2 lbs on my bathroom sale. hopefully just the water weight and i'll be back down in a couple days.

planning on going this afternoon- I'm getting out of work at 12 to take care of "dh" he's sick and I'm worried about him- never seen him this sick before. I'll leave him alone for 30 minutes like 3 pm or something and go over.

hadn't missed a day yet this year- M-F at curves. I don't go saturdays. well on my way to exercise at least 200 times this year- I'm at 8, and number 9 today.

Have a great day!

Hey Ladies

Turns out I went all the way to the specialist and he CANNOT do a root canal on my tooth because there is barely any tooth left...ugh, so now I am having to go and get it pulled- yikes!
Kerry- Congrats on the loss! Keep up the good work!
Kandice- Never feel bad about what you use as motivation, thats why motivation works the way it does, what you are working towards may not be what someone else is, but totally works for you... My Motivation is 1) all the clothes in my closet 2) I dont want to look like I just had a baby (she is 3.5 months now and 3) I can do more with and for my kids when I feel good and feel I look good... somewhat shallow forms of motivation but they totally work for me.
I also love that curves has people of ALL shapes and sizes....
I have decided that next week I will start my running training on my "off curves" days....so my last pounds will hopefully MELT off...lol
Happy Thursday to everyone!

Hi ladies,
It has been a very bad day for me today. I thought something was stolen from my classroom today that I used with one of my most severe special needs student's. So that set my world on it's ear. Then the kids were just awful today because of the nice spring like weather and all the rain we got. On top of this one of my co-worker's tried to start in on me about how to do my job. Then I came home from school and called one of my traveling coworker's to tell her that the item was missing from my room. She informed me that it was in her office at school. So I felt really stupid after the some students were questioned. Then we were to have someone come to our house to meet with us this evening about a home loan. They never showed up and my dh had to call and ask where they were. They said that they were never planning on making the appointment tonight. So by this time Curves is already closed for the evening and I really need to blow off some steam. So I guess here in a little bit, I might go ride my excerise bike. But through it all I didn't go and eat my way through the stress. So I guess that should be a plus. I will definately go to Curves tomorrow evening though.
Kandice how is your dh? I am sorry to hear that he is sick. Hope you were able to make it to Curves today.
Leanne how painful for you. Plus how upsetting that you went to all the trouble to see the specialist to get that kind of news. When will they pull the tooth?
Daphne hope all is well with you.
Well ladies I need to go and run to the store for some milk for in the morning. I will chat with you all tomorrow. Have a great Friday!

Oh Kerry I am so sorry for you having such a bad day. It sure does seem that when it rains it pours. Did you get on that bike tonight or not?
Leanne congratulations on losing all that weight! What a wonderful thing to have done. Just think you lost an 8 year old!
Kandice wow what a great thing to go to Curves each week day. I have gone Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and plan on going tomorrow and Saturday. I hope that DH is feeling better and not being to much of a baby!
OK I have good news I weighed in at Curves today for my own record and I am down 5 pounds. That makes it 13 pounds I have lost now since November. I didn't gain over the holidays I just had no appetite so that made it nice not to gain and to actually lose some weight. To reach my goal I have to lose 5 more pounds by the 31st. I didn't know I could do that until I saw another lady do it today!

Daphne- awesome on the loss....especially considering the holidays and pre-holidays were in there...GOOD FOR YOU!!!
I have to lose 4.5 lbs this month so I get my "curves" t shirt...yay! I was so used to wearing my hubby's t shirts and now they are too big for me. He keeps telling me how little I look, but I think he forgets what that I really am little when I am not having babies...lol....

Leanne- pull the whole tooth?! ouch! thoughts are with you! at the t-shirts! yup- me too! I have tons of X-large shirts for "back in the day". I've been thinking of baggin them all up. or even making a quilt with them. Alot of them are free- from the March of Dimes walks I've done for 11 years now, or sports tshirts, or concerts I went to.... I've been ordering my curves tshirts L and now I think I need a medium. Do you have "Curves cash"? that's how we "buy" our tshirts and other things.

Kerry- what an awful day- and the home loan people with no intention of showing up?! I hope you use a different company now!

Daphne- congrats on the 5 lbs! - 5 more lbs, you can do it!!

Chris is feeling a little better- he still has cold sweats alot- he's cold to the touch but that "calmy" feeling. I actually had to change the bed this AM because he sweat so much last night. Called him this AM to see how he's doing and he said, the big wigs just made their way around and told everyone that they were working 7 days a week- starting tomorrow. The paint area was demolished in the fire (don't know if I put it in this post- his factory had a fire tuesday afternoon, started in the paint area, he's a painter)- the only thing that survived is a sample paint room but it's tiny and they can only paint 1 piece at a time. I don't know how well thought out the plan is- sure they get the orders out instead of contracting it out but they're paying these guys time and a half. Painters are not cheap- well they pay them good at least. It's good in one way- $$$ coming in but I hate that chris won't ever get a day off. they're going to do it until they're rebuilt- told them about 3 months. Poor Chris.

Have a great weekend!

So is Curves considered weight training? If so, do you think it's enough or should one do more weight training than just that?

Katy- first love your name- Chris' family has history of naming "Caty"s there's one like every other generation and I love the name- if we have a girl- it's going to be Caty- there hasn't been any for a while.

curves is resistance training. I don't do anything besides curves and I'm seeing muscle develop- I have quads now!

Hi Ladies,
Yesterday went much better for me. I went to school and faced all the people with a smile on my face and acted like nothing ever happened. Then I came home and got my workout clothes and went to Curves. Last night my dh and I went out for dinner at a nice little Mexican restuarant. I think I am shocking him on how dedicated I am to losing my extra weight. Because I had to keep switching back and forth on my order because I didn't want to get something that would be fattening and then break my healthy eating habit. On the way home we stopped at the video store and got two movies. We laughed so much while watching Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again that our sides and stomaches hurt. I know my stomach still hurts as I type this. This morning I got up and went to Curves and put in a great workout. Then came home and got ready for the twin's basketball party. My dh was their coach so we had a pizza party for them at the local pizza palor. I was a good girl though. I called and ordered a chef salad and eat that. I did eat two pieces of pizza too. But I thought if I had the salad then I would n't go hog wild on the pizza. The birthmonster ticked me off though. It is her weekend with the kids and she told us yesterday that she would take the kids to the party. So we didn't make plans to take them with us today. She dropped them off at the house 20 minutes before the party and said that she would be back for them. She needed to go shopping. So not only did we have to set up the party we had to make sure the kids didn't get out of hand. She came to the party 45 minutes late and then never talked with any of the other parents or the kids. I just think that is so rude! But atleast other people see that I am there for the boys and will go out of my way to support them. That is one of the reasons I am working to lose my weight and become more healthier. The twins and my stepdd are very active little kids and I wasn't able to play with them for very long without getting tired. Plus we like taking them to the local county fairs in the summers and ride a few rides with them. Two summers ago, they wanted to ride the swings and I told them that I would ride it with them. I got in the swing but the bar wouldn't close over my stomach, so I had to get off the ride. It broke my heart having to tell the kids that I couldn't ride the swings with them. So I decided then and there to work to get the weight off. I think that this is going to be my year of reaching my goal weight.
Thank you for all the words of encouragement the other day. That was very sweet of you. I am blessed to have found such a wonderful group of Curves pals!
Kandice glad to hear that Chris is feeling a little bit better. That is awful about the fire at work. What kind of plant does he work for? That isn't fair to make them work 7 days a week just to get their orders out. I am sure that there has to be people out there that would help them with the work until they rebuild.
Daphne congrats on the weight loss! That is awesome! Keep up the great work.
Leanne had to laugh about the tshirt's. I am finding out that I have the same problem too with my shirts. I have even been able to steal a few of my dh's since I am able to fit into them now. Before he didn't want me borrowing them because I might make them a tad bit bigger in the chest area and he didn't want them stretched out in that area. LOL I told him that just because I had a large chest didn't mean that he would have to grow breasts to wear his shirts after I had wore them. Now that I have you all rolling with laughter, I think I am going to go. I need to start thinking about something for dinner. I don't know what we even have in the kitchen right now. So it might be a while before I can even sit down for dinner. Wish me luck finding something good.
Have a great evening!
