I will post in a bit but I have learned a good lesson. I have to take my high blood pressure pills each day. I have forgotten the last few days and I am up 10 pounds this week. I mean 10 pounds in a week?, and feeling like crap. Workout killed me today, water weight has me irritated, and hate feeling like I am going to pass out when I exert myself in the least bit. I also know now that I have to stay away from all soda. Gee why do i forget this **** all the time?
Daphne
Kelly, great pics!
Daphne- HUGS, sounds like you are beating yourself up....dont worry! We're here for ya! I know too the pop isnt good for us, but sometimes I just need one- I drink this diet grapefruit pop and I love it. Sometimes habits are HARD HARD HARD to break, (mmm, like chocolate for me)
I am working on my before and after pics...I will post them today hopefully...I am so thrilled I am 130.6 today and my parents are coming to visit tomorrow and I am down about 18lbs since I last saw them...my mom bought me a whole bunch of new clothes-yay! yesterday I was wearing my "small" jeans and I ran across the street and they NEARLY fell down, I mean, I could see my underwear- and I mean ALL my underwear...lol, thank goodness no one was around, how embarrassing would that have been? lol. Guess thatis a good thing.
I think I am going to get my final weight and measurements done today at curves-we'll see...
Oh, crying babies- gotta go
I can just see us getting a post from you in jail for indecent exposure! Now that would be funny in a sad way. I skipped my weigh and measure yesterday at Curves and am going to wait till Monday to do it. I like the Monday girl the best and she wont yell at me. What did your Mom say when she saw you? How far and fast are you running now?
Mercee congrats on joining Curves I love it when I go. It is just getting out that door sometimes that is the hardest.
Daphne
I got weighed in today at curves- yay!...I am down a total of 30lbs since I joined...yay yay yay
Daphne- thanks for the "support", I wish my pants had been more supportive-lol, they are now being demoted to "house cleaning" pants-because only your family wants to see your bum stick out while cleaning the floors...hahaha
Hello everyone! I'm brand new to this site and I'm thinking about joining the new Curves in my town. I have found your posts to be very encouraging and wonder if there is anything I should know before making this commitment.
KyLady256- I just completed my 1st week at Curves and I love it. I would advise you to join. In our area they have a special if you bring in a sack of groceries the registration fee is waived. I wish you the best.
Hey ladies, I just joined curves today(and I'm new to this site)...got in on the fee joining with a bag of food deal. I go for my first workout Tuesday evening. I am extremely excited...I am starting out at 49% body fat!!!! I can't wait to see that number start to go down. Debi
Thanks for the comments ladies. I will definately give Curves a try. They are doing the grocery promotion here too. Who could pass that up?! Mamamoo, let me know how your workout goes. I have an appointment Wednesday to join.
Hi Pookie- In my area Curves is $29.00 a month if you have a yearly contract. They also have a program if you want to go month to month you can pay $39.00 a month. The machines are already set. I'm sure they will work with you as far as skipping a machine. At most Curves you can get a free trail 1 week memebership. This is my second week and I love it. I would advise you to go in and talk with them. It is really a great work-out.
Hello everyone,
I started Curves last week and am so glad I did. The day after I joined I went to visit my sister in South Carolina and was able to go to a Curves there. That was such a nice advantage of this business.
I do have a question...What do you do during the recovery periods?
I dance or jog in place. Sometimes I grab the Hula Hoop at ours and do that. Do you all have them at your curves they are GREAT my curves has only 3lb ones but I went and bought a 5lb and I use it for 20 min everyday. Check out the site if you don't know what Im talking about.
I will have to find the ling again I lost it.but THere weighted Hula Hoops with Ridges and there wonderful.

Welcome Carole- Congrats on joining.
During the recovery periods, I run on the spot, knee's up, twists ( to work my love handle area) or heels in front...I try to mix it up as much as I can, sometimes watching others inspires you to try new "moves", or not..hehehe
What is this about hula hoops? must be that our canadian curves arent up with the times, we have nothing like that...I have heard some great things and items or promotions in the states that I wish we had here...I need to talk to them here and see why they are slacking...haha
