Penmage I had to modify my jumping exercises to avoid injuring my knee. I use a mini trampoline but I do the exercise double time so that I still break a sweat.

I've had the 30-Day Shred sitting in my Amazon Instant Video page for about eight months now, but I've never been able to get up the nerve to do it. This thread has convinced me, though. (Y'all are inspirational!)
I'm going to give L1 a trial run today (with 5lb weights) - not sure whether I'll be up to it since I could barely get through 20mins at the gym yesterday, but I need something like this that I can do at home.
ETA: Just finished L1D1, sort of. My computer automatically restarted halfway through, which meant an unplanned 5-minute break. I did some jumping jacks to keep my heartrate up while it was restarting (though not very many!) but it still threw me off. Also I took a TON of water breaks. Either way, though, I'm amazed I got through it without fainting. My aim now is to get through L1 in one go!
Good luck to everyone else who's doing it!

takingcontrol - I probably won't post super regularly... maybe I will... but I plan on doing every single day of this! Day 6 done here, how about you?
penmage - I've been doing a little more each day. But when I couldn't complete a move, I would march in place or something instead. Whatever it took to keep moving - even if it wasn't the same as they were doing on screen. I've been improving along the way. There's nothing lame about that! Anything you can follow along with is better than if you didn't try at all!
Just finished L1D2! (& no impromptu break this time.) The first circuit was awful & I seriously contemplated giving up, but the second half of it was actually easier than yesterday.
Also, quick question - I know that this workout is meant to be completed (almost?) every day, & a lot of people in this thread are doing that. But aren't you supposed to avoid using weights every day to let your muscles rebuild? Thanks!
littlegreen. I think it is a personal preference. I do it every day. I am at a point in my weightloss where I'm trying to incorporate more exercise. I want to keep up the momentum and build my upper body strength. I also like the thought of seeing results in 30 days.
ImImportant - awesome, thank you! I'm going to keep up with the workout every day as long as I can handle it. (also, congrats on making it to Level 2; I checked that out on Youtube earlier & it looked terrifying!)
littlegreen, that is correct that you need breaks for your muscles to repair themselves. But as these workouts are high reps and light weights, I doubt any muscle will get built, unless it's a small amount. Think of it as more intense cardio.
L1D5 done! The workouts seem to go by fast now. This weekend will be difficult, we have my step daughter and we're always busy on those weekends. But I will make time!
