tinneranne2 Hope your knee is ok. Whenever I do the jumping jacks I'm worried I'm going to break the wooden floor!

L1D2 today , was even tougher than D1 due to sore muscles. Had to resort to screaming obscenities at Jill to power me through it!

L1D7 is done. ONE WEEK DOWN!

Side note: Where are my frickin' endorphins? Where is my energy? When I get finished my muscles are tired, true...but mostly I am tired. Like, sleepy. Weirdness....

CaliforniaDreamer WTG! You're on a roll, girl. I'm still doing wall pushups. I'm really starting to wonder how I go through my day with so little upper body strength. lol

BippityBoppety thanks. I'm gonna give it a shot today. No pain, no gain. I don't want this to turn into an excuse not to do my workout (which I hate with a passion).

L1D6 done.

Pushups done with only one break but I still finished with Jillian. There are 17 in the first set and 11 in the second. I count backward and don't look at the T.V.

Tinneranne2 will you move to level 2 after day 10?

I think I will stay with level 1 until I get through without stopping. Stinkin' arm lifts.

Is anyone else staying on plan but seeing the scale moving in the wrong direction?

Thanks tinneranne2 I think I should try wall push ups because I can barely get through the push ups even doing the modified ones! Goodness why are they so hard!! lol

L1D6 done yesterday. It's going by so fast. Will do day 7 tonight.

L1D7 done.

I only skipped 3 arm raises w/lunge. I competed the pushups again. My form on the butt kicks seems lacking. I'm not sure if it is my form or I'm just not physically able to kick my butt.

L1D7 Done, last night. It was much easier! I'm a little afraid to move on to level 2 but I guess it won't be that bad. haha

Will do day 8 sometime today.

Edit: Just finished L1D8!.

I just did L1D1. It went ok - definitely exerted myself! No breaks, but I skipped one set of lunges when my knees hurt. I'm sure my form is lacking on some of the exercises, but whatever... I'm trying not to be a perfectionist, and trying not to hurt myself. I am glad to be doing it in the privacy of my own home!

I think I can manage to do level 1 but the idea of stepping it up a level in a week is scary!

Thanks for the inspiration - I like reading your posts and seeing that some of you have extra modifications / skips but are sticking with it! Wooo!

After reading all the comments about this video, I bought it and started doing it every morning - today did L1D5. Love/hate that Jillian - how does she bring so much pain in just 20 minutes?! And yet I keep coming back for more...LOL. I think my core is feeling a bit more firm now. I'm committed to doing this every day of January - boo-ya! We can do this thing!

Hi all, great thread, love reading how you're all getting along with the workout!

I downloaded it last year, did it for two days in a row, got bored/annoyed at it and then kind of tailed off. But at that point I was in a bad place and not eating right or really thinking about reaching goal at all.....

So, I'm back, just did D1L1 and hope to get through it all to the end now...... This time last year I was super unfit, I joined the gym (when I lived in the UK) did 6 months of 5 times a week spinning/strength classes and got pretty fit, then for the last 6 months I moved and couldn't gym it anymore. Probably not going to have gym access this year either, so it's time to make things like Jillian at home work!!!!

Do you all do it every single day? Is that how it's meant to work 10 days on each level in a row without rests?

How do you make sure you actually do it each day? I think last time I didn't work it properly into my routine so it was easy to find excuses, this time I@m absolutely not going to let that happen!

I've taken before photos, I don't have a tape but if I can find one I'll do measurements too.

I'm not using weights at the moment, but hopefully can pick some up, if not I@ll go with water bottles I think. Today doint it with nothing gave me enough of a workout though!

L1D9 done!

Hi Takingcontrol, Cattails and alidalinc, I'm doing th shred every day because If I take a break I may find excuses not to continue. L1D1 I did my workout in the evening. The next evening I was less motivated and I knew it was a slippery slope. I made a decision to wake up earlier than usual and workout before going to work. This has been helpful and I have been sticking to it. Welcome aboard!

I only just signed up, but I've been reading the forums around here for awhile. Anyway, I bought 30DS last March or so - I finally started it yesterday. Here's to hoping I can keep it up!

Hello everybody, I hope I will be joining you soon! I read about the 30DS today for the first time and it got me quite excited... I am ill right now (which makes me feel quite sad because I can't do anything and I feel like I am going to end up and old fat lady with lots of cats ), but I hope I could start in a week or so

But for now, keep being awesome and don't give up!

ImImportant I love your username by the way! Level one nearly done for you, how exciting! Yesterday I did it right in the middle of the day because it was Sunday and I could. This morning I got up and did it straight away, but I don't work until 11 on Mondays so again that's pretty easy. Tonight I'll aim for an early night so I can deal with an early start and to do it before work, but if that doesn't work I'll make myself do it straight after work before I shower/have dinner etc.

ttaplehcar Welcome, I'm new to 30DS too, although not to 3FC's. GOod luck with the workout and your plan in general, I just did day 2 today and for now am really motivated to make it all the way, long may that continue!

theAlisha Hugs, hope you're feeling better soon. Sounds like you've got exactly the right attitude not to end up the fat cat lady! Try to eat right while you're sick and it'll really help you not gain or whatever, that's my biggest problem when I'm ill, I just want junk junk and more junk, even though I know eating right will also aid my recovery! Hope to see you fit and doing the shred real soon

Day 2 Level 1 DONE
I woke up aching, and actually realised how much I miss that ache! I thought the workout would be hard because of it, but actually it was fine, seemed to go much quicker today than yesterday.

I'm another one who has really press up problems, even girl ones. I'm thinking of substituting them entirely because I get so little from them and it's not the best way to start the workout. Any suggestions?

I must get weights/water bottles today and up the burn using those, doing it all minus weights is quite bearable. I'm breathless and sweat buckets but I manage it.

I also used to have real lunge problems, but with perseverance have finally 'mastered' them, well maybe not quite but I can go them to a passable level!

I also think that I'll take the music advise tomorrow too, I think I'll be able to follow OK without hearing Jillian. Blasting out some pumping tunes should hopefully spur me on to go harder
