takingcontrol Sorry. I don't want to freak anyone out. We are all at different fitness levels but I will just say, if someone is working out with 5lb weights now, they may want to think about picking up 3lbs for level 3.

Ha ha ha, that's not made it any better!

I use 3.3lb now and struggle, there's no hope lol

I'm joking (I think!) The first time round when I got to day 13, i did the first 5 days of lvel one with no weights and was in pain, this time it's pretty easy, so I think Jillian's right, your body does change and change quick, but I think what you did with taking a couple of days out is well sensible, as I think I'm stronger now after over a week off than before it.... hmmmmm!

Really looking forward to the challenge when I get there! I've got 5 'spare' days on my new modified programme as I don't think I can face another 10 days at level one so soon, so I'm only doing 5, then a full ten on level 2 and then I was thinking 5 of doing both levels, but perhaps I'll do either one or two with a circuit of three thrown in those days so it doesn't completely get me when I do it all in one!!!!

I love how I'm discussing level 3 when I've never yet managed to get there, even though I've tried the programme a few times, hopefully this restart will be my time!!!!

The end is kind of insight for you, keep going!!!!

I think after I finish the program I will start from the beginning but I will do one level each day.

Monday - Level 1
Tuesday - Level 2
Wednesday - Level 3
Repeat for 30 days

The workout is challenging and I love my results so far.

L1D6 complete.. Whoever gave the advice to mute Jillian and blast music.. You are a goddess amongst mere mortals.. I hammered through the workout today and I got a new polar heart rate monitor this morning so I went full intensity so I could see how high I could get my heart rate.. I didn't once feel like I was going to die

Is anyone supplementing 30DS with any other workouts?

I'm not but after this first round of 30DS I will start C25K while continuing with the Shred. I would also like to add Zumba if I can find a good DVD.

Day 3 done! (I'm no longer giving levels, just counting to 30!)

Tonight I did level one plus circuit one of level 2 as one workout, it was great!

I'm kind of glad I had 13 days of 'practise' earlier, now I can really push myself!

ImImportant whoop! You're so near the end! In another 27 days I hope to be ready to try the ripped in 30, but we'll see! I like your new 30 day plan though

Tubergen thanks for the music reminder, did it today and it really is a ton better! I'm also trying to do a jog/run programme too, but at the moment my local running track is closed as it's hosting a fair. So, tomorrow I'm just going to add an extra cardio dvd workout, and hope I'll get back to the jogging plan soon!

L1D7 complete! I also did the most intense kickboxing class of my life this morning. The guy teaching it was so attractive, so I wasn't sure if I wasn't to punch him in the face or kiss him . I did 30ds a few hours later and it was a little harder to get through the strength portion bc my muscles were still pretty fatigued, but I felt great all day after working out so intensely twice

Okay. Jillian broke me. I give up for this morning. I tried, twice. I just couldn't find my groove.

L1D5 done! I took a break yesterday and now I'm ready to tackle the last 5 days on level 1.

The first 10 minutes are absolute **** (squats, jumping jacks and jump rope. WELP!) but after that I love the work out.

Sort of scared of reaching level 2 though, I've only read bad things about it LOL

I took Tuesday off but finished L1D6 yesterday. Everything was easier after the day off since my soreness went away with the day of rest. I used the 5 lb weights for everything except the side lunch/shoulder raise combo and it wasn't really a struggle so that felt good. I'm sure I'll jump right back to 3s for level 2. I'm noticing changes in my body but not losing like I'd like so I'm going to supplement with additional cardio. I have been doing other cardio sporadically but I think I need to make it more of a regular thing since I'm not comfortable going any lower than I am on calories.

Hello hello hello ladies! I'm back on the 30 day shred train, finished it 2 years ago! Must say its depressing to reset the counters and find day 1 so difficult...I'm working with 5lb weights (i build arm muscle very easily)

Seriously forgot how fun it is to hurl abuse at Gillian while doing it
