FINALLY!

I just finished doing the Power 90 sculpt! WHEW! Actually, it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would have been, since I haven't done it for *GULP* 3 WEEKS!!! I had grabbed some lighter weights but had to pause the program while I went to get the weights I had been using 3 weeks ago. And I can do a couple more pushups! So at least I haven't lost much strength.

Felt good to workout. I was all set up in the family room and then DS came down and wanted his cartoons. We just got a new computer loaded with a DVD player; the computer is in the kitchen--so I folded up a blanket to kneel on for pushups (we have ceramic floors) and popped the DVD into the computer and away I went! :strong: So there goes my excuse of "the family's using the TV so I can't do my workout" I did have the workout all written out, but since I hadn't done it in so long, I figured I better have Tony there telling me what to do. :D

I really concentrated on the lunges and squats. Felt a little twinge in my knee, so I think I'll be doing my elliptical for cardio for a while till the knee gets stronger.

Yesterday was kind of a holiday for some people in our province. We went to a big tourist attraction called Ontario Place and walked a lot. Went on water slides and did a bunch of other stuff. Had lunch there--oktoberfest sausage on a bun, fries and pop. Then take out again for dinner. We went to Wendy's and I got the Southwest chicken caesar salad. YUMMY! So I guess eating wasn't too bad yesterday. But I DO have to get back on track with eating too.

I'll check back in later to see how everyone else is doing. Thanks to all of you for posting. From reading your messages, I got inspired to get moving again. You all are wonderful!:grouphug:

I'm still here, Power Gang!

I am sorry for not writing, but it will probably be awhile before I can post again.

House is getting done, but not before I leave on Saturday.

I'll be gone until August 23rd, then moving into the new house hopefully the week I am back. It's going to be chaotic, and don't know when I will have the computer turned back on.

I'll try to post when I return.

Try to keep the workouts up. My sciatic nerve is horrible right now and hurting all the time. Vioxx is not helping, so hopefully the chiropractor will.

Take care and I'll see you guys most likely in September. I want to hear some good workout stories once I return!

All my best!

Chachee

Chachee, I'm sorry about your sciatic problems, I get them too now and then.

Are you icing your lower back? Sleeping w/a big pillow between your knees? Trying walking too. This helps and I hope your chiro can take away the pain!

Hi everybody! I just got in from walking 2 miles all by myself. I hate doing that. My sis couldnt go tonite and I almost said forget it but glad now that I went ahead. I'm telling you, tho, it is MUCH harder going alone. I hate that I'm going in at 8 a.m. for the next two weeks because it doesnt give me time to walk in the mornings. I like that alot better.

Chach, have a great vacation and a smooth move when you get back but dont forget about us! We want you to get back and tell us all about the vacation and the new house. I have no doubt you'll get LOTS of exercise with both whether you want to or not.

Well, I need to hit the shower. I'll talk to you girls tomorrow ok?

Good Morning All

I just got a BeachBody newsletter and in it was a link to lists of exercises for Power 90 and Power Half Hour. I'm really sorry I can't remember who suggested we write out the routines to try without having the tape going (CHACHEE, was that you?) but here are the routines all nicely printed up for us. Here's the link:

Well, my eating was a lot better yesterday than it has been in a long time. I still have to get in more water and more fruits and veggies. But baby steps. Today will be elliptical for cardio day.

MIKI--You are GREAT! Hooray for you for doing your walk by yourself! It is harder to go by yourself--with company the time seems to pass quickly. Keep up the GREAT job!

CHACHEE--Have a great vacation! Hope that nerve doesn't give you too much of a problem while you're away. Take it easy with it, so it will heal (I know, easier said than done!). It's kinda neat that you'll get a new house after vacation, but I know things will be hectic. Take care of yourself.

I'm outta here for now. Just wanted to get that link in while the thought was fresh in my mind! LOL!

Day 2

Well, I got in my cardio on the elliptical tonight. A half hour. I wasn't going to do it cause DH was supposed to get a ride home with his boss and I didn't want to be a sweaty mess, but then I figured, too bad, I'm doing this for me. DH still isn't home yet!

I also got in over an hour of bike riding with DS. Eating has been good. I actually haven't eaten too much--I feel full and bloated. I've also been trying to drink lots of water.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Bye for now,

Mindi 08-07-2003 07:56 AM

hi guys.

sold my treadmill last night. GLAD to have that monster out of my house! I hated it and never used it, BORING!

now I have some extra cash to use at the end of the month to go to Chicago. :)

Didn't work out last night, but will tonite. Been working myself pretty hardl the past few days so I took a day off.

Got a whopper of a sinus headache this am, but it'lll fade eventually. I'm pretty used to them.

Hope you all have a happy Thursday.

It's almost 9:30 and my goal is to be in bed by 10 tonite so I gotta run. Still lots to do before then.

Outta here!!

Hello Power Gang!

Just wanted to check in one last time and say bye! Leave tomorrow morning and will be back in two weeks.

I've been getting a lot of walking in this week, but not much else. Eating has been pretty good! (Have to save up for the wedding food next weekend!)

I hope everyone has a great weekend and next couple of weeks. I'll try to check in if I have time, but I wouldn't count on it!

The house has carpeting! Only putting in the appliances remains!

Be Good!!!

Chachee

MikiG 08-11-2003 09:07 PM

Just a quick hello for me too...really busy these days it seems. I didnt get to walk Fri or Saturday, but walked 2 miles yesterday and 3 today. Slowly but surely I'll get those numbers back up there. I hope everyone is having a good Monday. I'll get back in here as soon as I can. Take care all!

Miki

Mindi 08-12-2003 09:01 AM

Any of you girls Taebo freaks? Thought I'd tell you that new Taebo workouts will be out on Oct 7, 4 of them w/a couple bag workouts to follow.

YIPPPEEEEE!!!

MikiG 08-16-2003 10:22 PM

Hi Mindi...I've never tried Taebo. How long have you been doing it? From the "Yippeee!", I'd say you must like it huh? What have you gotten best results from...I mean, from everything you've tried?

Looks like everyone must be extra busy these days. I havent been here in 3 days and no new posts except one from Mindi. School starts here Monday. Gotta go do some last minute shopping tomorrow with the kids. I havent exercised or walked since Thursday.:^:

Well, gotta run. Ya'll have a great weekend!

Miki

Hey Gang

I am ashamed to say that I have fallen way off the wagon. somebody tie me on, will ya?

I've been busy running around with DS and friends to different touristy places in the city. Kinda hard to eat properly when there are only a few food choices. I guess the walking all over the place can count as some kind of exercise but it's not enough.

While out walking today, I realized that I have less than 7 months to my 40th:eek: I figure that averages about one pound a week. I really dont care if I lose the pounds as long as I can lose the inches. So I have to really re-re-recommitt to this journey. I may even try again to jounal my food (I'm not very good at this).

So I started this evening with a healthy dinner and I will begin my exercise --Power 90-- tomorrow.

Reading all your posts helps me to get back on the wagon. Thanks.

Mindi 08-18-2003 07:39 AM

hi girls! glad to see somone back!

Miki, I credit Taebo and Billy for getting my fat a** off the couch and MOVING again! I did really well w/it initally but you know how it is, I gave up, started over, gave up, etc.

In the past year tho, I've readded weight training and good nutrition (well MOSTLY good, haha) and slowly but surely, results are coming.

I noticed that I'm seeing the best results w/the Slim Series now. I did BodyRx, added muscle, now w/SS I'm seeing the definition begin. You have to lift heavy to build the muscle, now I'm going high rep, lower weight, like supersets w/SS to burn off the fat and let the muscle show! Because of my age and the fact I refuse to starve myself, it'll take a bit of time.

Zanne! Get BACK ON THAT WAGON! LOL
