Hi Ya'll...

Eating today was so-so and I only got to walk 2 miles but I guess that's better than the zero miles I did for the last week....right??:p

Where is Coach??:?: Seems like forever since we've had a post from her.

How was everyone's day?

Zanne, how cool about the adoption! What age girl are you adopting? Oh, I think your Wed weigh-in is a good idea. I think it would help me be a little more accountable.

Chach, did Mrs. Sabotage drop in today? Or did she get the hint that she's not welcome at your house? I am exactly like you with not being able to handle saying certain foods are completely off limits. If I do that, I crave exactly what I can't have. That's why I just try to stick with reasonable portions of whatever I eat and not binge just because I had something not quite so healthy because "Oh well, might as well...already blew it anyway". I used to do that all the time. Now if I do splurge, I try to get right back on track because I am terrified of sliding back into my bad habits and gaining back everything I've lost. I cannot let myself do that!

Mindi, as soon as my tape arrives and I have your return address, I'll get yours sent out. I cant wait to try something new! Thanks so much for the offer. I wish I had more than just the Power Half Hour ones. I'd be happy to share with Zanne and Chach also. I think it would be fun to swap up occasionally for a little variety.

Anyone thought of a catchy fitting name to call our new thread?

Hello Power Gang!

Miki: Miss Sabotage did not visit me today. I did real well and only had some red licorice. I feel good about the day as a whole. Sounds like yours was pretty good also. I agree on getting a new thread up and running. I can't think of a name. Kinda brain dead right now. Let me know if anyone has an idea about it.

Mindi: I want the new Taebo set, but I still need to take it easy. I'll probably get the new set eventually.

Zanne: I would like to take out all the bad stuff from my pantry, but my hubby and son have their treats. I can't penalize them because I have no willpower or self control. I did have some licorice today, but nothing like I did yesterday or the day before that. It's getting better, but it just takes time.

WHERE IS COACH?????

Guys I don't think its about self control or will power cause, I think its about making a decision to put ourselves first and deciding that WE come first. (Do I sound like dr. phil? lol)

I can't keep treats in the house. I've figured that out. But I don't think deprivation is the key either. I think if you REALLY need a piece of chocolate or whatever, go out and buy a piece, but don't bring HOME a bag. Chach, would your family go our for their treats for awhile? If you explained that you need their support and help?

Miki, didn't I email the address? Jeesh I'm a dweeb lately. LOL I'll do it today. Been so busy and tired the past couple of weeks, and TOM is here. :(

This is my weekend to go to Wisconsin, we get apples and pumpkins and cheese, I already know I'll eat an apple donut, fresh and hot, but I don't have to eat 6!!! I'm going to plan for it and take control of it. No body can do this but me so I gotta be the one.

Chach, the new Taebo is a bit slower and focuses more on technique, balance and building strength I hear, so I hope you can feel well enough to try them too very soon. I preordered them so they SHOULD be here around the 7th. Plus I'm waiting for my new Cathe DVDS. You guys should check her out. she's AMAZING. I don't do her step stuff, I hate step and its hard on my knees, but her strength workouts are gym-like, TOUGH and very effective. I love working out at home because of time and privacy.

Well its FRIDAY so have a GREAT weekend ladies!

Mindi, I got the tape today!:cp: Haven't tried it out yet but did watch some of it. I'm already thinkin...OUCH! lol My sis and I plan on doing it in the morning. My hubby has to work tomorrow and hers will be hunting so it will be a good time for us to try it out. Starting next week, we are probably going to do it Mon, Wed and Fri and keep walking on the other days. What do you think? Is 3 days enough? What was your routine like when you used this one? We did the Power Half Hour ones 6 days a week for 4 weeks and got burned out. I'll try to get those out for you Monday. I think you'll like them also.

Chach, sounds like you had a much better day today. Licorice isnt bad at all. I agree with Mindi ...we dont have to be deprived...we just need to be sensible. ( wish I had remembered that when I had that big piece of chocolate cake layered with melted caramel and pecans at work today:^: )

Tried out the tape today...didnt get a real good workout in due to trying to just learn the routine and proper ways to do each exercise, but hopefully I'll have that all down pretty soon. My sis did it with me. She thinks she likes the Power Half Hour better, but I still think I'll like the change for awhile. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, guess I worked a little harder than I thought...my butt is sore!!:lol: Walked 3 miles today which helped the soreness. My sis was sore also and I think she's deciding she likes the tape after all. We love that sore feeling after a workout so we know it accomplished something.

Guys, I was SO indulgent this weekend..not too many empty calories were missed by me!

Fresh start today....eating shall be GOOD!

Did 45 minutes on the Bowflex yesterday and I am SORE too today, Miki. Did Upper body, probably do a leg workout tonite.

starting my day w/scrambled eggs w/tomatoes. Lunch will be soup and salad, (plenty of protein included) and dinner will most likely be fish w/greens.

Hang tough girls!

Well, did the tape again today then walked a mile afterwards. I really like that tape! Dont have time to post much since my son, Josh, is standing here patiently (NOT) waiting for the computer! I'll check in again tomorrow.

Hi Power Gang!

I'm going to duck out of the board for awhile. I need to get my eating under control and also get some other issues worked out dealing with my weight loss. I am going to be posting on the Buddy Up section under a post my friend Jolly started. I thought of the name "Accountable Sabotuers". That is going to be my focus for awhile, but I just didn't want to duck out and not let you know.

Miki, don't do the tape every day, give your body a day or two to recover and build muscle. As you get stronger, you'll have to increase your weights!

I'm going to EAT WELL today..shop tonite..need food, but only GOOD FOOD.

Hi Mindi! Yes, you are welcome to post on that thread. Basically, here is what we are doing:

Define three goals for the week. One point per day for each goal accomplished, bonus point if you accomplish all three goals per day. Maximum amount of points you can earn per day is 4, 28 for the week. We have all set rewards for meeting goals.

Hello to All,

I too have the Power 90 tapes I got them about 2 months ago. Im ashamed to say that I didn't stick to working out with them, Not that I didn't like them, I love the workouts...I just got lazy, BUT after reading all the positive remarks and encouragements on this board, I've decided to start using them again. I was doing my own thing but those tapes really worked me out!!:strong: :strong:

Im tired of quitting!!:?:

So THANKS to you ALL for posting such inspiring words to get my butt back on track!!.....:cool:

Hey Gang!

I'm still not up to where I should be with my exercise. It's practically non-existant. My eating is getting better, but that's not up to par yet. I may have to join CHACHEE and her buds on the other thread.

I DID go for a nice walk yesterday after I walked my son to school. The weather is just grand here right now! Today I have lots to do, but hope to get in another walk or something.

CHELE---Glad you posted! you've kind of inspired ME. I so want to get back to my Power 90 program too! I love the workouts too, but just got side tracked and now too lazy to get back. When are you starting? Maybe we can work on doing it together?

MINDI & MIKI---How are you girls doing?

Lots to do, so I better get to it!

HI Chele! Glad we got you back on the workout track. :)

Guys last night I tried out one of the Power 1/2hr videos Miki sent me, the arm one and I was pleasantly surprised to find I really enjoyed it! Initially I was afraid it'd be incomplete and less intense than I'm used to when it comes to lifting, but its not at all! I mean to make it intense, I upped my weights and did managed to fail myself out which is GOOD!

I also enoyed Tony's goofy comments...I'm the same as he is and we'd enjoy goofing off at each other. :) Tomorrow I'm going to try the bun one..needed a rest night so no workout tonite.

I think I'm going to have to look for these on ebay! Shoot I may have to buy Power90 too just to get more Tony humor. :)

Beware of the store...Ben&Jerrys have a limited edition flavor out..Chocolate Chocolate Cookie..Chocolate ice cream stuffed FULL of oreos w/chocolate filling and TONS of fudge...:)

I'm the opposite of you Zanne, I work out ok but I gotta get control of my food! Will we ever get it right? lol

Chachee gotta get up and see your other thread. Hope you're doing well!
