OK, I can't resist a chance to brag about my progress in becoming a runner. I'm thinking of running in the Reykjavik Marathon in August, so I'm doing a pre-training training schedule to prepare for that. I've never been a natural (or fast) runner, but it's something I've come to enjoy over the past 6 months or so.
My training schedule calls for 70 miles in January, but I think I'm going to replace 10 miles of that with cross-training because if I run 5 days a week I'm definitely going to get burnt out on it. So, 60 is the goal and today I did the first 4, slower than I'd hoped but it was COLD and windy out in gorgeous Central Park.
4/60
PS Helen - your blog is where I found out about 3FC, and I've been a regular reader of yours over the past couple years. You are a weight loss and running superstar!

Temps stayed below zero both yesterday and today. I was bummed to have to use the TM, but bit the bullet and got going. Nothing to be proud of 6 miles in almost 90 minutes, but I didn't stop!!
It's made it to 6* above zero today, but the wind is blowing at 9 mph. Raw is what it is so, I did 4 on the TM. Today was a scheduled day off, but there isn't a whole lot anyone wants to do when it's this cold and I only had about 30 min of work today. Get ahead, you never know what tomorrow will bring!!
