Cool

Hi, all. Angie, sorry about your legs. I hope you med adjustments will help. Rosey - you are indeed busy. How about shipping me some of that salmon? Someone from our office just came back from an Alaskan fishng trip with a freezer full of halibut and salmon. Enjoy your rest. You'll get back on the wagon soon, I hope. I keep trying to get myself back. I really need to lose some weight so I can start walking again.

Smile Hi Everyone

Been a while since I checked in.

Was struggling with my sugar and sinus.

Went back to the doctor.

He gave me Ameryl (sp?) 2mg. It seems to work pretty well and doesn't make me have the munchies. He said there was a new med that isn't out yet that may be good too.

I am even more hopeful now. Biggest problem is payday stress and after buying groceries. Need to get back to

Have a good week. My son's twins are due anytime now.

Hi there....

I am new to the board and I have type 1 diabetes so, I thought I would jump in and say "Hi". I posted a windy intro in the "buddies" thread so no need to bore anyone with my details all over again.

The strange thing about losing weight and being diabetic is that losing weight seems to TRIGGER blood sugar bounces for me event though I have reamined stable at almost any weight (including pregnancy). Of course I am insulin dependant and BS can be more easily controlled with injectable insulin. So, while in the process of losing weight I seem to feel WORSE at times than I did when I was fat.

Plus, I notice that I get VERY fatigued after working out and my Dr. said that is common for diabetics, but didn't really say much abuot combating it. Any suggestions?

Welcome Floppymouse. I wish I could help answer that question but I have no idea why that happens when we exercise. Try eating somthing high in good carbs (whole wheat) before your workouts and something light afterwards (fruit or veggies).
I am in the middle of moving across country so I haven't been able to post as much as I'd like. Haven't lost any weight, blood sugars lower than normal. For example, I ate 3 pieces of pizza and blood sugar was only 6.2 (or 111). Kinda strange for me. Usually my BS goes really high when I eat pizza. I guess sugars can be lowered through stress too. I hope I am not pregnant.
