kfunk My diabetes education class was interesting and informative. Thankfully I had already changed my eating and started consistent exercise at the beginning of the year. I don't really have to make many changes, just keep the carbs at the correct limit, and it has been around where I have already been eating. Congrats on your drop today, you're almost back to your lowest this week!

ange I love my deep freezer. You now have quick, easy, on plan meals that you can just pull out and have some days off of cooking! Great job on your losses!

ophelia I'll be hoping with you that you get a whoosh in the opposite direction today. I agree that with all you've had do deal with this week you are doing fine. We'll end the week lower than last!

TOM still here but i'm not going up so i'm glad to be at my lowest in years! I also just realized that i'm only 0.3lb away from my March goal. Good luck to everyone and hope that we all have losses in these final days of the month!

Week Four

23: 267.9

kfunk: It definitely helped, but I still need to go down some more to break even for the week. Still holding out hope for that whoosh! Haha. Nice loss, by the way!

momtopands: That's awesome! You got to keep your TOM whoosh, and - hopefully - you will hit your goal as well as soon as TOM hits the road. You're doing great!

Slimmer Me: My scale has seemed to slow down just in general the last couple months, so I feel you...you're still making progress, though, and that's what's important!

---------------------------------

Weigh-in was down a little more to 187.6 today...so, still going in the right direction, but still up from the end of last week. Still keeping my fingers crossed to show some kind of loss for the week tomorrow. I got in my full gallon of water yesterday and will try to do the same today...hoping to get a whoosh if I do! Stayed on-plan for my fast day range yesterday, but I didn't do a workout -- will be making sure to get one in tonight!

Week Four
22: 187.8

Scale is still cooperating and i'm trundling along this last few weeks with the weight-loss faster than I ever have, for no apparent reason. (Don't think that sentence makes sense, but you'll figure out what I mean). In fact I've had a few nights drinking wine this last week (but kept my food calories on track) but eaten at different times to normal maybe, so perhaps it's the un-predictability of it all that's keeping my body guessing. Maybe I've done slightly more exercise - got in 3x 6mile walks and a bike ride last week. Or perhaps it's just inexplicable like a plateau is inexplicable. Anyway, i'll take it!

Good work team - everyone's really heading in the right direction.
Hope you get below last week's weight Ophelia - you really deserve that, surely it's not too much to ask! Come on diet-gods, listen in!
SlimmerMe Congratulations on sticking with discipline to lose weight this month. Definitely a win. Stick with it!
momtopands wow, how many years since you've been this weight do you reckon? Bet you're really happy with yourself. Also nice prediction abilities to just about hit your target right on the last stroke of March!
kfunk Good steady month by you too. Really well done! Thanks btw for all the encouragement you give us all too You're very generous with buoying us all up and helping us along the way

momtopands That is awesome that you had already incorporated the healthy eating habits they were teaching the class about. Must have felt nice to be ahead of the game! Also, congrats on being at your lowest weight in years, it is such a great feeling!! You are so close to your March goal!

ophelia You are doing a great job staying patient and more importantly consistent!! The scale makes no sense to me, but I hope that it cooperates and you get your whoosh today!!

slimmerme a lot can happen on the scale in just a few days time, good luck!

ange You have had a fantastic month!! Nice work on getting in extra exercise and keeping your calories in check! Thank you, you guys keep me going!!

ange I believe I got down just below where I am now in 2013. That is 5 years since i've seen these numbers! And congrats to you on the continuing drops on the scale!

kfunk I am so glad I did make these changes earlier. It would have been very hard to be forced into drastic things but you are right, I was ahead of the game and so it doesn't feel as catastrophic as I thought it might. And congrats on your loss!

Well I got a happy whoosh today ending my week on a great note. And I made my goal for this month!

ange82much: I'm glad you had a great week...awesome loss!

kfunk: I got enough of a loss to fall back into the green, so I'm happy -- even if the week was another slow one overall, it's still progress! And, nice loss!

momtopands: I love when weeks end on a solid note like that...nice whoosh and great loss for the week overall!

---------------------------------

I had trouble sleeping last night and didn't fall asleep until a little after 4am, so I was worried that I would stall on the scale, because sleep deprivation always does weird things for me the next day, even on the scale. Luckily, my weigh-in today was finally back down into the green at 186.6. So, overall, I'm only showing a 0.8 lb loss for the week, but at least it's a loss and not a gain! Plus, I can enjoy the small silver lining of hitting my next 10 lbs down, so I finally get a new dragonfly in my signature....lol. You've got to celebrate the little things when everything else slows down on you. I know I won't make my month's goal at this point now, but I'm going to stay on plan and not skip any workouts over the last few days of the month to see how close I can get.

Well, didn't get to keep my loss from yesterday but I did eat pizza and too many chips yesterday, and I went over my calories a bit, so not really surprising. I think i'll get it back off, hopefully by Saturday. I will make my monthly goal still so that's a good thing!

momtopands: Pizza and chips get me every time, lol. I'm sure you will be able to get it flushed back out by Saturday like you're hoping!

kfunk: It is definitely rough to say the least! Luckily, the intense insomnia doesn't happen as often these days...but, I'm always half dead the day. Coffee is my saviour! Haha. It used to not have much of an effect on me in the past, but I guess my body just likes the caffeine more after having a kid and needing it so bad. And, congrats on hitting your goal!!!!

---------------------------------

Weigh-in was 186.4...today is my other "fasting" day, so I'm focusing heavily on the water and munching on some refreshing cucumber slices until dinner time, which is already planned out. My husband's field training also ended a couple days early, so he came home this afternoon! It's been nice having him back already, but I do notice I'm more tempted by food and throwing fasting to another day now that he's back. Not sure why that is such a common thing for people! He's not even sabotaging or anything, I just eat more when he's around...lol. But, I'll be staying strong today and have my cucumbers and even some cheeses on hand for low cal snacks if it gets tougher than usual. Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!

ophelia That is awesome that your hubby is back early!! Hopefully the rest of your fast day worked out well, I definitely understand the desire to eat more on the days where we with our husbands. Thank you, and I hope the last couple days of the challenge are good for you as well! If I wasn't babysitting a 2 year old and 4 year old I would be totally taking a nap! I am off work today and it seems like I always "need" to nap on my off days. I drink 1.5 cups in my thermos, but if I drink more than I tend to get nausea and headaches.

momtopands Thank you! Nice going on your weigh in, glad that the water weight is going away nicely for you!
