I have no idea what to say. I took a walk yesterday and ate better. I know I will keep going down though. My body is just being funky I guess. I am going to try to increase my water intake,and hopefully I will go to the gym today or take a talk at night.

I lost NOTHING in May so far, despite of being on a strict diet AND breastfeeding a child AND running around 5 little kids. I did not cheat and my plan is good. I do not underestimate my calories. I lost 11 pounds last month doing exactly this. And nothing this month. Arrrggggg. No I will NOT give up, but I am frustrated!
I have now said goodbye to all 1.5 pesky pounds that saw fit to re-visit me two days ago. I kicked ‘em to the curb! Here’s hoping they got the message and will not return again!

Ronja: I feel your frustration. FWIW, I went through a similar period about a month into my diet. I started my diet on Feb 21, at which point I weighed 200. Three weeks later, on March 12, I had lost 9 lbs. and weighed 191. So far, so good. Then the fun started. For the next three weeks, I just circled around 191…gaining a few ounces here, losing a few ounces there…but making no movement to speak of. About three weeks later, on April 2, I weighed 190. So, I had lost the grand total of one measly pound in three weeks, despite remaining at a calorie deficit of about 1,000 calories per day. I should have been losing 1.5-2.0 lbs. per week. I was SO frustrated. My body just refused to give up the weight, even though there was no earthly reason for the pounds to hang around. Then, for no reason known to man or woman, I started to drop again, and I have lost a further 8.5 lbs. in the past month. Who knows why we go through these “plateaus”, but all I can say is to hang in there and know that your body will eventually give it up!
Thank you so much Tuscany! Just knowing that I am not alone in this really helped. I know in my past attempts to lose weight, when hitting a plateau like this, I would probably give up. And now I just wish I hadn't given up back then, because then I wouldn't have to be where I am today! So, this time is different. I am in it, for good, forever. Even if the weight doesn't move down, I live on vegetables, fruits, lean protein, good oils, eggs and some nuts. That's amazing and healthy way of eating and I'm gonna stick to it. The weight must eventually follow!
