OK, OK.... Here I am. Took a bit of time out... but sure was not a vacation.

My weight loss took a sideways turn.... OK, OK, make that an upturn .. :(

Don't evan wanna tell ya what happened but going to. Cuz ya won't believe it anyway :D

But before I do, just to let ya know, it sounds like you need some practice on that sock drawer. Kelipja has one for you to practice on, then you can come do mine. Now, I am not like Kel. She has a drawer full which keep trying to jump out before she can close it. Mine.... is two drawers full and three bags. Socks go back 13 years. Woolens, marina wool, a few nylon dress stuff, lots and lots and lots of white heavy duty cotton socks of different brands mixed togather. And different sizes and lengths of same brands. After you have mine done, yours will be like a vacation ;) Just for you !! :D

And I still want that hat you are hiding

Now me.

I ran out of dog food and have a litter of 6 pups to feed so I made some. Not from animal scraps and bad culled grains, but from foods from my pantry. And Mrs Snark was talking about beans and cornbread on another thread. So it really comes down to HER FAULT

So I made some cornbread for the doggies. And ate most of it myself. (the dogs LOVED it) But so did I :(

Then I started making some different experimental mixtures for the dogs and cooked some into pan bread, some bread style, some pancake style and some as hot cereals.

And they loved the cereals. But so did I :( Especially the one I made with re-fried brown rice and quenoa with scrambled eggs added.... then of course, some strawberry preserves. They LOVED it!! But so did I :(

The ingredients I used for the breads were potatoe flakes from a big box of instand potatoes I had decided not to eat over a year ago, whole wheat flour, whole rice flour, quinoa, brown rice, white rice, eggs, olive oil, baking powder, salt.

These were made up in different mixtures/ formulas. And of course, I had to taste each of them. Some were really good... and I did not stay out of them. Some were mediocre. Easier to stay out of but the doggies loved it :) Some were excellent. For the doggies it was an outstanding success. But for my weight loss.... Not so good. I could not count the calories due to the way I mixed and cooked.... But I know I exceeded 2000 calories a day for the most part.

I had to get a maligant skin cancer removed from my forehead, first they biopsyed it then two weeks later removed it. Then I had to wait a month for them to close the wound back up, it was rather large. They "borrowed" a skin graft from my neck to fill the hole with. (I hope they don't want to return it, I could do without the pain and misery) I had a nice job waiting on me in electrical which I postponed for two days for the surgery, one day for the surgery and second to recover. By the end of the second day my left eye had swollen shut. I had to postpone the job. The next day both eyes were swollen shut. This is the 4th day after and I can see out of both eyes but still very swollen. Postponed that job again and two others. Hope all is OK tomorrow.

So much for "me" history, now to current weight.... (notice the "loss" was missing???

Last weigh in/CW for start... 194.6

<<<hugs>>> BFR.

The number of times I've fallen into bowls of cornbread and pan bread and bread bread and other people's bread and stale bread I was supposed to give to the ducks but ate myself because it reminded me of croutons. Well. We just don't have the time.

I'm glad you pulled yourself back from the brink and rejoined us! Falling into too much bread is life, climbing out is transcendent (if a little cumby). You got this. :)

I'm sorry to hear about the skin cancer and the rough recovery, sending you strength and healing vibes.

BFR, Mrs. Snark - thanks for the inspiration.

BFR - congrats for remaining rock steady during during your healing process/great attitude. High five (I removed that skin thingy, too)

Big Fat Rooster 01-12-2015 08:47 PM

Thanks Mossy :)

Mrs. Snark, yer making me feel bad about wanting to snag your hat now. All that feeling sorry for me and letting me know that I have not been alone in the pits of bread hel. Makes me kinda sad that I STILL wanna snag that hat.

I may work on that some.... maybe. Anyway I will think about it. Or maybe I will think about it....

BFR  my mom had a carcinoma removed by her nose, she ended up with black eyes because of the way it grew down. She grew up out west, Colorado, Wyoming California before there was any spf. Make sure you wear a hat when you're out working, even if you can't get Mrs. Snark's

Mrs. Snark I'm with you in the bready, bread bread...I have a friend who says she doesn't understand bread, she could take it or leave it, I could eat mine and hers too, any day of the week...

 Mossy!

Back to 164.9 today, lots of greens today so hopefully no bounce up.
Snow and ice today, so the challenge was not to treat the vacation day like a weekend day! :D

Best to all :sunny:

BFR - Hope things are better for you today. You must really love those puppies to go through all that trouble. We are cat people and they are so much a part of our family and add so much fun and love to our lives. What kind of puppies are they?

Bread - LOVE IT!!! HATE IT!!! One of those types of relationships. Before the New Year, my new big love was pretzel bread. Drooling thinking about it. :drool:Moderation, right???

Working from home today. I have some cabbage I am going to fry for lunch. Finding all sorts of recipes lately. Very healthy with a little olive oil.

Okay, everyone have a great day! Last day of super cold here until the end of the weekend. We are looking at temps of 50 by Saturday. Can't wait!:carrot:

Gosh!!! All yall ladies are so sweet. Just don't know how to handle it :)

Thanks.... All of you outstanding understanding ladies

I had to do a double check to see if I was in the right thread. It sounds like I am posting in "Bread Eaters Anonymous" :D

Well, after posting about all that bread last night.... Late at night at that.... I did what any addict would do. I made some cornmeal bread.... For my doggies of course ;) ( and they got over half of it to) Sure is good with butter. Real butter.... :( I was wishing I had some milk, I love crumbled cornbread in cold milk.

So my calories for yesterday were about 2000... again. Misplaced yesterdays calorie card so not sure.

1/10 203.0
1/11 202.0 Calories . 840
1/12 202.0 Calories 2000
