Jill THIS is your problem!!!! the weekly points aren't cheat points or extras, you HAVE to use them. when you don't you are eating significantly lower than you should. Not eating them put one of my friends eating 1000 calories a day. I used weight watchers before the flex plan and briefly after the flex plan started and had similar stats both times. Before the flex plan I had something like 48 points with the option of saving up to 10 per day to be used later in the week if I had a big event planned. With the flex plan I had 40 points plus the 49 weeklies. All they did was take off 7 points per day and call them weeklies. I am guessing too many people did like I did - saved more than 10 per day and binged... yay eating disorder! :?: anyways by having the weeklies it gives people the freedom to eat more on days they are hungry and less on days they aren't but you HAVE to eat them or you aren't consuming near enough. given 1 pt=~50 calories you are denying your body almost 2500 calories per week that you NEED. Activity points can go either way, some people say you should eat at least half of them because points are based on a moderately sedentary life so if you exercise ALOT you may not get enough calories in. I say unless you are hungry and you aren't working out more than, 2 hours a day every day you are probably ok not eating them most times.

omg I am about to be late for work... I will be back shortly to update my stuff

So today's weigh in puts me slightly below goal! YAY! I am not sure about calling it yet though, I think I am probably dehydrated. I took an hour fitness class last night called Butts and Guts and I was sweating pretty heavily. On the flip side, even if I am dehydrated how much lower would it really show me? I can't imagine too much... I am super sore today and am trying to drink plenty of water so I expect a bump up again tomorrow... My weight is doing jumping jacks or something to taunt me :p

JB I agree with pixicat on the WW points, you have to find that sweet spot where you're eating enough to get that losing working, they used to have an exchange program if I did the lower end I wouldn't lose, I don't know why, I guess it's like getting an engine primed or furnace going, there's some level that gets things working just right. wishing you the best, keep trying and you'll figure it out, I'm telling myself this too

For those not following the WW, it appears that mixing it all up seems to get things off high center.

Kelijpa, Joy - thanks for your tips, too.

Way to go, pnkrckpixikat! I think sore muscles balances dehydration to make that about as real a number as we're going to get. The muscles we'll definitely help in the long run!

A small update...

My back is doing fantastic. One of the vertaraes is completely healed and the other about 80%. Dr is very impressed with my progress. She says I am healing like a 20 year old. The second vertabrae should be completely healed in 10-14 days, which means this whole fusing process only took 8 weeks. -- The bones still be weak and I have to be cautious with my movements.

Today is a big day; I am finally going to walk outdoors! And I am very excited! Hubby is going with me to "control" the doggie. If she were to yank me in a leash, I could re-injure my back. I will also wear my crampons, and they are heavy duty ones with big spikes.

Loving life, and appreciative!
