Happy Sunday my lovelies!

Golden. Great, fantastic, awesome group of long time virtual friends here. It's a great place to start your journey on this website. No judgement on this thread. We all just try to encourage and hold each other up as we work towards healthy minds and bodies. We also vent, as good friends do! . Very excited to share your journey. You've got this!

Mindy & Jen - teaching starts at home. We all know the importance of being engaged as parents. You are both amazing women doing your part from each side of the desk. I am proud to read the posts here. I struggle with being the over opinionated step parent to two who are home schooled and one who is in charter. The homeschooled 13 yo D s is doing well. He's pretty driven. My 15 Yo DD is not progressing IMO. She's missing socialization skills and although she has downs, she should be further along. She's very high functioning, with speech as her biggest setback. The little guy 10, is in charter, common core, and I would bet my paycheck his mom is doing his work. She likes to blame the teacher, but then saves the day when projects are completed. It breaks my heart the he is being robbed of succeeding ion his own. Such a tough balance all the way around. You two are heroes.

Mavie - miss you! How was the 15k? How was Colorado? It's our trip list for sometime in the near future. Thinking about retirement (still MANY years out) but want to visit places and get ideas!

Diana- did you get into the studio and get creative? I can't wait to see the next round of fantastic-ness. I am ACHING to do something creative. Might even just color with the kids crayons today.

Where are the rest of our girls? Come back sisters! We need a check in to know you're okay!

So here I am. 219.4 this morning. No surprises. Did buffet Friday at casino.... Hubby and I took off just us as our 5yr anniversary outing. Won a little money, ate a ton of food. Costco yesterday to stock up on some meat for hubby through next couple months. I am NS DETERMINED beginning today. Today is also VERY. LAST. ABSOLUTELY. NO. MORE. SMOKING. DAY. Hubby and I are done together tomorrow. Really looking forward to shaking the funk that comes with it.

Lastly, on Friday I have my genetics testing. Just want the answer about the lynch syndrome thing. I know. What a moron. Smoking with cancer gene results right around the corner. But I'll say goodbye to nicotine today.... And move on.

That's plenty for now. Miss you ladies. Still working for Disney 1/2 in 2016. Gotta get my arse moving.

WEED THIS WEEK:
W: 80 oz a day
E: 30 minutes at least 3 times
E: NS - buy veggies. Plan. Eat. Repeat.
D: love yourself enough to care about your future. You have a life time to be great.

Visit to see ds at college was mostly good. Dh had a talk with him, man to man, ds still talking to us, so hope it motivates ds. Good news is I did not gain any weight while traveling and eating out. Today I restarted foood journaling and was not happy having to write down mid day snacking --so bad!!! Tomorrow I will eat a protein snack mid day even if not hungry, and am hoping to be in the studio or on a project out of the house for most of the day. Gonna turn really cold on Tuesday so took a walk today with my dog and even with some wind it was really nice.

Golden, You sound inspired, Welcome to the site and to this great thread.

Mavis and Jeni, Thanks for the potluck survival reminders, I am feeling better about Thanksgiving and plan on taking things I can munch on without guilt. Mavis, You are doing great with exercise -- good on YOU. Jeni, I too need to organize my meals and snacks. My crockpot is gonna be busy!

Kris, I am so proud of you for having your last smoke. Did not stay in my studio, but brought markers in and have colored in some lovely and uplifting mandalas. I'm using Martha Bartfeld's coloring book & use color plus gold and silver markers plus name each one I color. The last mandala I named "let go & let god" with hot pink, pink, orange, olive and gold. Planning Studio time tomorrow.

Mindy, Fun to hear what you did on the weekend, even if your team went south on ya.

Welcome Golden & Gigembritt!

Golden, I might start with a journal, What you ate, when you ate it and how you felt. Come to think of it, I may restart that myself!

Britt, Sounds like you are on a good path! 10 down is great!

Mindy, I was watching that game and thinking of you! By the way, a so so run is way better than none! You are awesome.

Jeni, let's both do the best we can for a really clean eating week.

Diana, glad you got to visit your son! What's a mandala? I've been saving some crocheting patterns for this winter. Think I might get at it.

Kris, You can do this, No more smoking. None. You are way too valuable to not take care of.
My son was awesome. Colorado is beautiful.
The 15k was hard, but not as hard as I feared. Less than 4 miles more to our half marathon!!! I am extremely sore today, no heels today, no way! Uggs to work today! LOL.

W 100
E stretch
E OP, no sugar no grains
D I am worth it

Welcome to the new girls. Stick around. We are a fun group and do all we can to support each other. It helps.

MM- Great job on the run. That is 3 5k's in a row. WOW!! You in spire me. How is the knee?

Kris- You can kick that nasty habit. You did it once, you can do it again. Didn't know one of the kids has Downs. That brings some special challenges to your life, I'm sure. You are a great step-mom.

Made it to the gym. Ran 2.5 miles then did arms and shoulders. My BBF rejoined the gym and she was there yesterday. We have a plan. T, Th and Su workouts. The girls are back. BEWARE!! Weight is up just a bit today..176. Conferences until 8:30 tonight. Sweet husband will bring me dinner.

CLEAN EATING!!!!!

Good morning everyone.

Day1 of clean eating in the books!!! Problem is I didn't eat enough. only 745 cals. This won't be a norm at all, I know better. I just didn't journal my food until after dinner.

Yesterday's workout was awesome. Since I work today my circuit will be a bit different. I'm thinking that maybe I will do a 5 minute warm up run~ 15 situps~10 lunges~10 walking planks~25 jumping jacks (circuit all of these for 20 minutes) then a 5 minute cool down walk. Then again, maybe DH and I will head to the gym.

W 64 oz
E 30 minutes minimum
E1700 cals~keep it clean
D Keep my cals clean.

MM-Sorry about the knees. I can surely sympathize. Get in some good strength training.

Jeni- Hate those gains that make no sense.

Kris- Good for you POP girl!!

I need to cut out little munchy snacks. I know I do too much of that. A handful of nuts or trail mix, a few crackers. It is all adding up and I am not recording every bite. Must get my mind set that I don't need that. 176.2 today.

Breakfast was my shake with almond milk and 1TBs of chia seeds. Snack was 1/4 protein bar and a small apple.

I had coffee, organic aloe water, and mint tea. It is a nice cool day in Texas!

My 7th grade students are very well behaved today and we are having an easy fun day...... I will check back in after lunch!
