September Weight Loss Challenge
September is a great month for setting goals and meeting challenges as things gear up for fall. What are your weight loss goals for the coming month?
State your goal and track it throughout the month with a supportive and encouraging group. We will compile our goals into a list. This is my favorite thread, so I'm definitely in again. I will be in Europe for 2 weeks in September, during which time I hope to maintain. In the other 2 weeks, I hope to lose 1.5-2.0 lbs each week, which translates into 3-4 lbs for the month of September. This morning, I was 147.75. So, I'll shoot for 3.75 lbs, which would put me at 144.0 lbs by the end of the month. I'll be very happy to get down into the lower half of the 140's!

I am going at it strong this month. I am visiting my sister in November who I haven't seen in a couple of years and would love to drop 15 lbs before I see her. Therefore, my weight loss goal for the month of September is -8 pounds.

I'm gonna aim for 5 lbs this month(well 5.2 to shoot for an even number) and start with thursday's low weight since I know I'm currently bloated.

GW: 189 I want to enter a new weight decade by the end of the month. So my goal will be almost 7 pounds for the month. A little ambitious but since I still have a lot to lose it should be doable. As long as the scale knows how I will punish it if it doesn't cooperate, all will be good. Let's get 'er done. |

I just wanted to share this as we start this month's weight loss challenge. Someone posted this pic on another thread and I responded to it. How much fat was in that hand really struck me, and so I combined the pic and my response to it into a collage, resized it to 1280 x 768 and set it as my computer background. Now I am constantly reminded, each and every day when I reach for my computer, that every single pound really matters!

Here I was wanting to be 63-4 kgs by my b'day tomorrow (Sept 2), but no. I've been stuck on 66.7 kgs for 6 weeks now, even with my running and cutting back on foods (because I fell off the band wagon for a while). Before that, I was stuck on 67.8 kgs for 2 months. Well, long story short, I just want to lose this month. :(

I screwed up majorly this past week and my weight crept back up into the 120s. But what's done is done and I'm ready to get back on track and do really well this month. My goal is to be 110 by end of September. 12 lbs seems like a lot to lose in a month but I believe my recent gain is mostly water weight. Excited about this challenge, good luck everyone!

I'm heading to the Philippines for 5 days to celebrate my birthday and I know I'll be lucky to even maintain then. The plan is a very lazy beach break with lots of cocktails!! Having said that, I'd love to be able to lose 4 pounds this month.

I'm in for 2 lbs this month. I recently changed my LoseIt weekly goal from 1 lb/week to 1/2 lb/week so I think I'll be lucky to hit even a 2 lb goal.

I'm using yesterday's weight of 195 lbs as my official start weight for September since I knew I would be up today because of my Saturday cheat day. I gained 1 1/2 lbs, so I'll be drinking lots of water today and hopefully that will flush back out in the next couple of days! Starting off with a bang, lol!

Have decided that Sundays will be my weigh-in day -- never tried that particular day before, so why not? Maybe the thought of it looming over me will keep me in check Saturday night! My weight this morning was: 191.6. Sincerely hope to get off at least 15 pounds during this two-month challenge -- but 20 would be better. At my age, however, I know that won't be easy. Hi all - first challenge here. My goal is to get into the 100s this month. Using bodymedia - but consistently losing slower than it predicts so trying to get more strict on myself.
SW: 206.5 GW: 198 (firmly in onederland for first time in 4+ years?!) Note I'm a little nervous about doing daily weigh-ins, might switch to weekly. I have three cats, 2 girls and a boy, and your Neko reminds me of my boy, Ichabod, not in looks (Ichabod is a black cat) but because of that expression. Ichabod is such a lover boy, lol! |
