This thread kept me honest yet again. It was a long day. I was up at 4:30 am, since I had a very early breakfast meeting...and I was on the go all day. When I arrived home I did my walk (I enjoy my walk), following which I really did NOT feel like doing anything else. But I knew if I didn't, I'd struggle to make goal this month. So, I dragged my butt down to my gym and spent time on the bike and the elliptical. Without this thread and these monthly goals, I'm quite sure I would have said the heck with it!

I hear ya, Tuscany! Many times I don't feel like walking but I don't let that be an excuse. I have to be so busy that I can't fit it in or I have to be physically unwell or the weather has to be bad. Any other reason just won't do because of this challenge. Gotta make that goal! :yes:

Yes...there will be a new thread in October. GardenerJoy will likely start it in the last day or so of September. Many of us also participate in the September Weight Loss Challenge, where we report our daily (or weekly) weigh-ins and support each other through the month. Joy will start a Weight Loss Challenge for October as well and you're welcome to join that too. Also, you don't need to wait a week. Feel free to jump into the September Exercise and/or Weight Loss Challenges if you'd like. Just set goals for the last week. |
