Welcome, BellaDiva!
Sno, good job on the exercise.

As for me, I've been on track for the last week now. I had my line dancing class today, which was a lot of fun. Then tomorrow I take my Pilates class. Tues and Thurs. classes were canceled. So now it's Mon and Wed. Hope I enjoy it.

Great to hear about the exercise, Sno & Tyla - and that Tyla's class was fun.
Yesterday I didn't exercise & portion control disappeared but at least I stayed out of the Halloween chocolate! Even though I had to stop at the store & pick up some more, and even though the kind I like jumped into my cart . . . I ignored it. Whew. One more day and it will be gone . . .

MMamma, congrats on staying out of the Halloween candy! I did, too. Yay!

Sno, good luck with your goals!

As for me, I took a pilates class today! I was exhausted afterward, but so happy that I did it! Since it's been a few years since I took a class, it was a big accomplishment for me.

I have been so busy at work and at home. I finally broke through the 230's. Even after Halloween I lost. This morning 229. Its a big milestone for me. I was 230 at a doctors office about a year and a half ago. To see it gone is a huge victory for me.

I did have some of my kids candy. I hear a cute name for taking your kids candy. Parent Tax. I was good and tried to stay away from the chocolates. I did have to have a peanut butter cup.

I had an anxious moment while exercising yesterday. I have been strenght training. I use activtrax at the YMCA. The program raises your weight every so often. I was bench pressing 20lbs barbells. THe next step called for 25. They don't have anything higher than 20 in the little area off cardio. I had to go to the main weight room and lift. I bench pressed 2 25lbs barbells while the guys were lifting much more. I kept my earphones in and stayed on task. I was nervous about being the fat girl in the weight room.

Sno congrats on your loss. I am finding it harder to loose after 3 months at this.

Tyla great job on your class. I have never tried pilates.

Hi everyone!

I was evaluating my progress and realized i had lost 23 lbs the first two months on program and then 5 lbs this last month.

you know--I could be bummed that I lost only 5--and dont get me wrong, I wish I lost more--but I feel good about it. I was off plan a lot this month but I got back on and I kept up with exercise and I still lost 5. After all, if I had gone compeltely off plan I could easily have gained 10 lbs in the last month. and now I am on track so it is all good.

I have 62 more lbs to lose. If I stay mostly on plan I will lose about 10 lbs a month making it 6months to goal--May of 2013. If I lose 5 lbs a month I will be at goal a year from now. either way I will make my goal--I am sure of it.

Lishar: great job on breaking that 230 mark--you are doing great!! and I applaud your bravery in the mens weight room--hey--you are there do improve your fitness. thats all anyone needs to know!

Tyla: you inspire me to look into the pilates classes around here-I know how great they make me feel.

Okay--happy november all!

Hello ladies. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I lost again today. Very happy about this. I was afraid I would go up again after getting in the 220's. I had a great day yesterday with heavy lifting. I spent more time in the main weight room. Next time I will bench press the barbell without weights. Its 45lbs so that will be a test for me. I am scared and excited to try something new. I have been pressing 2 20lbs dumbells. Its crazy that I am loosing after snacking on my kids candy. :0

Sno I feel for you I have slowed down my weight loss the last month too. I only lost 8lbs last month. I am trying to shake it up by eating more then eating less to kick it back into gear. I am also lifting more to try and kick start my metabolism.

Tyle great job staying on plan. I love having an exercise plan and keeping

We are heading into the home stretch. I am not sure if I will make my goal. I think at the start I was overestimating myself. Now I am more reaslitic.
