Today is my day 17 of being sugar free and junk food free! Eventually, it should be a habit of eating only healthy foods. At least I hope so. Plus I have been saving money, since I am not always buying cookies and candy. Because the fruits are much cheaper and healthier than the junk food.

GettinFit
You are doing excellent with your exercising, and staying OP.
Stay strong and have a wonderful day!

smoosmoo
Sorry that you were lost, but you made it into a positive event, by seeing it as a time for extra exercise, good for you.

Hello ladies!

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words! You are all so helpful and inspiring. Have a busy couple of days coming up, so I will probably not be back to check the thread until sunday or maybe monday after I fly home.

Yesterday was emotional. I went to try on bathing suits....it was pretty much a disaster. Nothing looked right, my midsection is just so big..and my back...let's not even get into that. I so wanted to go home and eat all the feelings i was having. But, I stayed strong and under my calorie budget for the day! I even stayed away from dessert.

Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Been doing a lot better the second have of the work week. Happy that this morning's "sneak peek" revealed that I'm at least back down to where I was Monday. Now just to keep on plan through the weekend, and Monday I'll see another loss! I know that TOM is looming... I'm doing my best not to give into the ravenous hunger. I did break down and bought Diet Coke; it was enough comfort to make it through.

Everyone on here seems to be going through the same things as me, which is encouraging because that means I can make it. You girls are very inspirational !

Good evening ladies,

Rachel - Great job on staying strong and not turning to food. I know just how you feel about the mid-section area. That is my problem area too and I HATE it. I'm working really hard to get rid of it so that I'll look half way decent in my swimsuit when I cruise this fall. We are going to succeed!

Enygirl - Nice job on getting back down to your weight. I hope you have a good weigh in on Monday.

I had another good day and am looking forward to an OP weekend.

Have a great evening everyone

I knitted and worked on re-arranging my sewing room, while Hubby put down trim around the kitchen floor. It rained most of the day so we didn't leave the house much.

In other words not the most exciting of days!

Hi everyone- I'm new here, was briefly on 3FC one year ago and lost 15 or so lbs, and I'm back now after having my sweet new baby boy almost 2 months ago (!).
I'm really needing to change my eating habits- I have little mini-binges when my dh is out of town. I need to change my view of food- right now food sometimes controls me. Not all the time, but sometimes.
I'd like to join this challenge- you guys seem like a nice group, and are all very supportive of each other.
So I'm joining mid-month- my goals for the last 2 weeks of August are:

August 2012 Challenge:
1. Eat healthy, and according to plan. Eat enough calories to maintain my milk supply, and eat GOOD NUTRITIONAL calories instead of junk calories.
2. Lose 8 lbs- down to 159.
3. Have 'solo' exercise time 2 days per week, exercise with kids time 2x per week.
4. To check in with this thread every day, and set daily goals for myself.

For Saturday, my goal is:
1- To keep my eating on plan, and
2- To go on the river walk with the kids. (5 km walk with the 4 year old and 2 year old in the double stroller, 8 week old 14 1/2 lb. baby in the ergo carrier- that will be a workout! Followed by time in the playground. )

LittleBB, very impressive and inspiring!

Rachel, congrats on not giving in to overeating after trying on bathing suits. I give you a lot of credit for trying on bathing suits!! You know those mirrors always have a way of making you look worse. I don't even attempt it anymore. But the bottom line here, is that you did a great job not blowing it. That's a huge deal!

EnyGirl, good luck this weekend. Just remember that you are not alone in this. We are all in this together.

GettingFit, great job on another OP day! Let's stay strong over the weekend.

Penguin, I love that picture of your dog! Tell us more about your lab.

Clevergirl, congratulations on your new baby boy!!! Welcome to our group!

I was so proud of me yesterday for going out to breakfast with a group of ladies, and only ordering a white egg omelette. And I only ate that, not all the sweet breads that everyone was passing around.

Here's to a great weekend!!!

What do you mean not exciting? You had me at knitting, and awed that you have a sewing room! I'm jealous!

I'm cleaning house today since Hubby has gone to a Re-enactment. Its 70* outside and 80* inside so I had the windows open for a while but there's NO breeze so it didn't help much. This is Hubby's last day off before our regular weekend.

Eny, Do you knit? I'm always interested in what others are making. My sewing room has become a dumping ground since I stopped sewing a few years ago in favor of knitting. I boxed a bunch of things up to go through later {them moved them to Hubby's office} just to clean the place up a bit. Took everything off a wire modular shelf and I'm trying to put everything back on it in some semblence of order.

Clever, great name. Welcome, glad to have you join us.

Tyla, April is a Lab/G. Shepherd mix. we got her as an adult from the Hum Soc so we aren't sure how old she is but we got her in 04. She's more of a couch potato but she's a good friend and a great guard dog. Fetch is her favorite game, along with catching squirrels. We have 2 old trees that are always dropping limbs so she loves to chew on them. We look at it as free mulch.

Hi everyone!

GettinFit - Glad to see you had a good day yesterday.

CleverName - Welcome back and I wish you much success on your goals!

Aside of having 2 handful of chips I had a really good week eating wise and even better with the exercise. However....this weekend is going to be a challenge. There is a Ribfest going on in my city and I'm going to a Mexican restaurant later (one of my favs). Ahhhhh!!!

I'm going to only drink water all weekend, workout twice a day for about 30 - 45 mins, no nachos (for the sodium) try my best to think of my weight loss for this week (I'm down 3 lbs!) to stay focused.

Good evening ladies,

Clever - Welcome to the challenge and congrats on your new baby boy. Your goals are great and I wish you much success

Yippie - Sunny, 3 pounds!!!! I'm sure that will motivate you to stay strong today.

Tyla - Congrats for staying OP at breakfast. That took some strong determination.

Penguin - I'm glad you're getting some nice cool weather now.

Another good day for me. I was only a few calories under and I did a 30 min walk and a Firm DVD. I am so in my groove now and I just have to work hard to stay here.

Have a great evening everyone.

Hello again!

Hope you're all having a successful weekend. This week has been alright for me, and my scale showed that I'm one pound lighter again! Gotta love the results from my efforts. Hope to keep going like this!

CleverName Welcome to join us! And a lot of congratulations on your baby boy!

tyla Congratulations on choosing better! Most of the times I wish I could do the same, but my friends won't even allow me to choose even a remotely healthy place where to go to eat when we're out, bummer. (Well that's why I'm hardly going out eating anymore.) You are really inspirational!

SunnySide99 Congratulations on your weight loss!! I hope you will have a successful weekend, let's not let the restaurant visit ruin your efforts.

GettinFit That's the spirit! I find it really inspirational when people are doing so well! Hope you'll have a succesful weekend as well!

Today is my day 19 of staying sugar free and junk food free.

RachelRawr
Stay strong, and stay focus on your goals, and within time, you will
find the perfect bathing suit.

Enygirl
The past week I survived my TOM and my "want to eat everything in sight" feeling. It was difficult but I stayed OP, and instead of me choosing my high calorie sugary snacks, I chose fruits, and I survived and so will you.

GettinFit
You are staying OP and staying strong. Keep up the good work.

Penguin
You seem to keep busy with exciting craft work.

Clevername
Welcome!

tyla
That is very impressive, and you should be very proud for making good food selections. It is difficult for me to be around my friends, who are eating the most delicious foods, and I have to refuse because I want to stay OP, and get healthy. Keep up the excellent work of making great food choices.

Sunnyside
Wow! Congratulations on losing 3lbs! Fantastic!!!!!

smoosmoo

Hello ladies,

I hope you all had a great Sunday! I can't believe tomorrow is the 20th of the month. It's flying by.

Littlebumblebee - Congrats on day 19! You are going strong.

Smoosmoo - Congrats on losing a pound Keep up the great work.

Today was good for me. I ate close to my calories and I did a 30 min walk this morning and a brisk 2 mile walk this evening. I'm hoping to have a good weight loss this week. My goal is to reach onederland by Oct 4 when I go on the first of two cruises this fall. I gotta get these pounds coming off. I've been working peanuts into my calories almost every day but I think I may eliminate these for a while and stick to 100 calorie pack of almonds.
  • My goal for this week is to not have any peanuts.

Enjoy the rest of the evening ladies

I get to go to the OBGYN tomorrow. I'm just thrilled, lol. We are getting back into 'the routine' after Hubby's vacation. Sigh! I"m also trying to get back into working out since I've blown off my workouts for most of the summer.
