toodles11 Good for you on making those choices!! I am the same way, it used to be I would give in big time, and then say, well since I already blew it let me eat everything I can get my hands on! AH!! Yey, to breaking old habits!!

YEY for 3 pounds this week, feels good to see a different number after staying the same last week. Going to check in again Friday this week for an early weigh-in, going away for a few days and will miss my next Tuesday. So gettin' it in early, hopefully I'll move a smidge from now until Friday. Won't be having my usual high-calorie Tuesday today, but I'm sure I'll take care of that on the weekend trip. LOL

Keep at it, everyone!!!!!!

I have to take cortisone daily for life due to a pituitary tumor hemorrage last year. Losing weight while on cortisone is very difficult, but it is possible. I would love to make a big goal for this challenge, but I know that is not practical. I need to be realistic for my situation. So, I am going to set my goal for this challenge at 15 lbs., roughly 1 pound a week. With God's help and your support, I know I can do it!
Starting weight Memorial Day - 194 lbs.

Not as much as I hoped to lose, but I didn't drink nearly enough water over the weekend. We went camping and I have sore muscles from biking and hiking up- and down-hill, so I'm assuming I'm retaining water because I burned TONS of calories over the weekend and ate OP! Started Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Monday, but couldn't do it today due to extremely sore calves, so did 1.5 miles on the treadmill instead to still get something accomplished. Hope everyone is having a good week. 20 more days until I leave for vacation in Gatlinburg, TN!! Can't wait to go hiking and white water rafting!!! I'm hoping I'll be able to go down a size before vacation since I'll be buying some new clothes.

These last few weeks have been a real struggle. My weight loss plateaued, and my personal life has spun out crazy with deadlines, obligations, and unexpected everything. I forced myself to visit 3FC today so I can remind myself that all is not lost! I can still keep going, but I need to change it up some to not be crazy in either direction (too much or too little). I think this is what adapting is about!

dcapulet So glad to see a post from you, but sorry to hear things have been nuts for you!! That whole when it rains it pours definitely holds true most of the time! Hope things settle down some for you. Sometimes you just have to hold on for the ride, and then take control again as soon as you're able.

tyla Glad to hear you are feeling better!!

dare 2 dream Enjoy Gatlinburg!! We spent a week there a couple of years ago, and all over the Smokies! We LOVED it and always talk about going back. I loved rafting and hiking to all of the waterfalls. I remember thinking all of the bigger hikes we could do if I was in better shape, so that is definitely a goal!
