Dottington, sounds like a great way to exercise!!

Tomorrow is my last day at work, then off for 6 weeks at least. I know last time I was only out 3 and was bored to tears, so we will see how it goes. Hoping by week 2 I'll be able to go for walks...I just ordered new running shoes for after recovery. They should be here Monday!

W 100
E Walking today
E POP, have not been the last two days and the scale reflects my lack of dedication
D Control what you can, let the rest go

mavis-hope everything goes well with recovery! Maybe it'll be nice to have some time off

mindy-sorry hun You'll get through this though!

Down on the scale! I changed my settings on livestrong the past week and that seems to have really helped me. Instead of having it automatically put my exercise in, I'm doing it manually. So far its much better and more accurate

Today I think should be my spike day. My body feels pretty depleted from the last week....

W-80
E-will try and force myself to rest!
E-spike day
D-now "spike" does not mean you're allowed to eat EVERYTHING

Mindy, when my Old Man dog passed in August, I found comfort in this quote, attributed to a 6 year old child...he said, ‘People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?’ The 6-year-old continued, ‘Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.’

Dottington, good job!!

MM- Thanks!! Just wish they could stay longer..right??? Good luck with your surgery. I'm sure you will come through with flying colors and be back on your feet in no time. Sending my thoughts and prayers with you friend.

Today is prep day for my colonoscopy tomorrow. No food today and then tonight comes in Mr. Clean. Sounds like so much fun..I can hardly wait. Hey, that scale should look pretty tomorrow right??

This is just a messed up week. We have a staff meeting tonight and then my prep, so Dont think I can squeeze in a workout. Tomorrow..well. Wed. I have a hair appt. Maybe Th I can work out. I do have an appt with an orthopedic doc for my shoulder. Anything else this week??

Hey all!
I have decided that I am going to use the next 6 weeks to focus exclusively on my food choices. I am very sore and dopey but I am home! I will not be able to do much exercise until 6 weeks, but I should be able to clean up my eating quite well.

Mindy sounds like we both had a Tuesday we'd rather not repeat for a bit. Hope every day is getting a little easier. I think it took me 6 months before I could think of my old man dog without crying.

Dottington, what is fro yo?

Sending you both healthy happy thoughts!

W 100
E Walking a bit, but that's all I can do right know and even that exhausts me.
E OP, bit off with some chicken rice soup, but not bad at all
D They make you stay out of work for 6 weeks for a reason.

barbie-glad you checked in!

mavis-I haven't tried that yogurt What is it?

Ugh so my meeting with my pt yesterday was worse then I could have imagined Last week I did an insane amount of exercise(rock climbing, hiking, swimming ect) but all of it was leg work and leaning more towards cardio. So my legs actually seemed stronger BUT my arms have like atrophied I could barely lift what I'd been lifting before and it was soooo hard. We only did 50min when we were doing over an hour and had to lower a bunch of the weights. My trainer says it will probably take me two weeks to get back to where I was with my arms grrr! I was so disappointed and felt totally pathetic! He also had me do something we'd never done before. We do circuit training and have very few rests, well yesterday he eliminated the rests and made me jog or do jumping jacks instead of resting. I almost threw up and was so dizzy. Sigh. Super sore today, I was going to go hiking or swim but its raining.... lame

W-80
E-gym? maybe a day off...
E-no more then 1200 net
D-You must work through it!

Dottington, sounds like you are getting your $'s worth from the PT! Wow!

MM- Glad to hear you are feeling better. On the road to recovery. You will bounce back I'm sure. I know it is going to be a long time before I stop crying over that dog. He was such a huge part of our lives. Dang!!

Well Tom struck on top of the colonoscopy fun....after 55 days. And its kicking my butt. Ready to get in line behind MM for parts removal.

Got in a good walk/jog with my daughters new dog. She got an Aussie and that girl kept me on the move. I could not wear her down. Good workout.

Hope to shed a few pounds as TOM moves on.
