  • Yesterday's WEED was successful. I actually did an extra 20 minutes on the treadmill.

Had my first weigh-in today. Doing them on Saturday makes me more mindful on Friday evening and then hopefully with good results on the scale it will motivate me to continue the rest of the weekend. I was down 3.5 lbs. I like to see bigger numbers the first week but any loss is a loss. After this the numbers will be steadily small especially as I get older.

Barbie - welcome back. I am returning from before too.

Mavis - You are right - it is a new day! Good attitude! My fish tacos came out pretty good. DH like them. I would use a different fish next time. I used Mahi Mahi but the restaurant uses Swai so I will look for that next time.

    Today's WEED:

    W - 72
    E - 30 min walk on treadmill
    E - 1200-1300 calories
D - sew, sew, sew - and try not to let my jamming machine irritate me too much

Wishing everyone a good WEED weekend!
  • I don't like weekends that give me no down time, but this was one. Had to be in the office all day yesterday, 8-4ish. Came home, dealt with some things here, helped FIL take care of some day to day paperwork, went to bed around 1, back up at 5:30 (time change so less than 4 hours sleep) now have to go to church and make breakfast for 40-60 people and then off to show houses at noon. Can't wait for this evening and some rest!

Weights up a little bit too, but I have been off center since Friday, trying to make today a clean eating day and get back on track for the week to come.

W settle for 60 today if I can get it
E still have to do that elusive c25k
E stick with the plan, snickers and/or reese's are not on the plan
D You are worth all this work
  • Yesterday's WEED went well - again I did some extra time on the treadmill. It is hard to guage how much time I am going to have or how my ankle will hold up.

Sewing project was slowed down by a constantly jamming machine and a sore neck.

    Today's WEED:

    W - 72
    E - 30 min walk on treadmill
    E - 1200-1400 calories
D - sew and try not to let my slow progress get to me
  • popcorn I wish I knew how to sew.. I have tried to learn on my own and it didn't turn out to good lol

Well I am having a ok op day. I am going to the field today and get some flying in. It helps relieve stress as long my bf don't rake my nerves lol... I fly RC planes(not toy ones from walmart) the ones I fly cost from $50-$5000 depending on the size and what you put in it lol. I have vid of me flying on my youtube if ya want to see. my user name is countrybarbie22...Also you have to check out matt botos on youtube he a heli pilot at my club and rated number 6

I went flying yesterday and tried to get in as much walking as I possibly could. Walking from one side the field to the other. I plan on getting as much walking in today also.
  • I can't sew either, thankfully, my SIL does! I can glue, love that glue they have out now for hems. Saves me sometimes! What are you making PG? My SIL loves to quilt.

CB, the planes sound fun, will have to check out the video when I have more time.

Dottington, happy Monday, hope you have a good weekend!

Mindy, How's things today? Looking up I hope!

Emi, Jeni, Thin, miss you all!

    W 100
E SOmething, still aiming for treadmill, too many off days makes me lazy. Walk at lunch, supposed to be gorgeous here today
    E OP
D Today is a new day, don't beat yourself up, just start anew.
  • This is what I love about you guys. I can put anything out there and you understand are helpful.I am going to get to summer and then see what's up with my girl parts.

Went to redi-care Sat. and found out I have tendonitis in my shoulder. It has been hurting for weeks now. I haven't stopped working out though. So Naproxen, ice, muscle relaxer(which I have not tried) and Capsasin cream. Well I put the cream on and OMG!!! what a mistake. My shoulder was on fire and burning like you wouldnt believe. It turned all red like the worst sunburn multiplied by 10. All I could do was cry and keep putting a cold towel on it to draw out the heat. It was horendous!!! It is made with chili peppers. YIKES!! Never touch that stuff again.

Back to work and good eating and workout schedule. Hope to lose at least a few pounds this week.
  • Yesterday's WEED was successful.

I am sewing some tree skirts. Making one for myself and hopefully one to auction off to benefit one of my breed's rescue groups. Kind of vague right now because I really need approval to use the artwork. More on that later.
But I am getting close to the embroidery stage which I do not know how to do.I am really pushing myself to get this done because I have so many other things I need to do other than this. I did not know when I started it that it would be so labor intensive. And it was while it was winter and I was recuperating. Now I am feel the pressure to make use of the good weather to train the dog - my first love.

    Today's WEED -

    W - 72
    E - 40 min walk on treadmill
    E - 1200-1300 calories
D - work on training exercise with the dog (he has been a sewing orphan lately)

Sending good WEED vibes to everyone for the week.

I'm here! Sorry for the extended absence, life just keeps getting in the way of life! Been really sick, still am...can't seem to shake this respiratory thing I've got going on. I see I have some catching up to do - I'll try and read the back-posts tonight. I keep watching the video I posted above almost every day...I love it, so beautiful and inspiring. Keeps reminding me that I need to slow down (well as slow as I can get with 3 kids!).
  • I am excited about this. I had some setbacks that have taken me from 145 to 154 and I'm tired of the scale moving the wrong way so I am getting back on track.

    W - at least 64oz per day
    E - fluidity/ballet video/stationary bike
E - Restrict to 1 "cheat day" again. Cheat day somehow morphed into cheat weekend and then cheat week. I need to get back to 1 "cheat day" and stay on track the rest of the week.
D -Lupus will not keep me from being the best me that I can be.
  • Yesterday was great..

    Yesterday Weed

    W- 32oz
    E- 1000
    E- walking
    D- ~footloose~
  • Welcome Bunnabear!

PG, love to see pictures when you can!

Emi, glad you were able to take a second, we've missed you!

Mindy, My OS is allergic to those types of things, I sprayed him once with solarcaine...think hives on top of sunburn....hope your shoulder heals fast! I thought about waiting til summer too, but more to have my recovery while the weather is nice.

    Barbie, good for you!

    W 100
E walk at lunch, maybe rake a bit after work, weather is awesome!!
    E OP
D Peace in my head, back to DR this am.
  • Mothermavis - thanks for the welcome! Pictures are a really tough thing for me. I will have to work up the courage to post some :-)

Yesterday's WEED went great! I exceeded my water goal which is extra important with my history of kidney stones. Now to focus on today:

    W -64 oz
E - light weight and band work/stationary bike
E - Eating out at lunch today. My goal is to not eat my full days worth of calories in 1 meal and make a healthy choice.
    D -A healthy lifestyle is not a sprint, it's a marathon
  • A bust on the D yesterday. I ran into a glitch yesterday on the sewing project so the dog didn't get trained.

I think that I am all screwed up over this time change. I can't get moving in the morning so it starts me off behind the eight ball for the day.

Bunnabear - welcome to the group! They are a very supportive group and I think the daily WEED keeps me focused. BTW Mavis was asking to see pictures of my sewing project so you are off the hook on pictures of yourself. LOL I am PG (for PopcornGal) or you can call me Popcorn - whatever works.

Barbie - good for you for the succesful day! What is "footloose"? Is it a frame of mind or are you referring to something movie related?

Emiloots - it is great to hear from you. I am sorry you are sick. There is a respiratory thing going around here at work that I am trying to avoid. Your kids are so adorable. I haven't seen pictures of your baby since I was absent for a while.

Mavis - this weather is awesome. I put the dog in the car with the window down for the ride to the fabric store last night and I had my window down too. I am still doing the treadmill for the safety of a flat surface while my foot is healing. I am itching to get outside though.

    Today's WEED -

    W - 72
    E - 40 mins on treadmill & abs
    E - 1200-1300 calories
D - work on scent training with the dog

Have a good WEED day everyone!
  • Yesterday'w WEED was successful.

The weather was so warm here I was worried I wouldn't have a pair of pants that fit since it was too warm for my corduroys. Fortunately I found a pair in the closet. I don't want to spend more money on bigger sizes since I hope to be back into smaller sizes in a few weeks.

    Today's WEED -

    W - 72
    E - 40 mins on treadmill & abs (done)
    E - 1200-1300 calories
    D - train the dog

Sending out good WEED vibes to all of you.
  • Yesterday was a success in terms of my WEED. I made the mistake of stepping on the scale this morning even though it wasn't a weigh in day. I've got to stop doing that!

    Back to the present:

    W -64 oz
    E - fluidity/stationary bike
E - Eliminating those empty calories slowly. The house is free of junk food. Now I just need to kick the soda habit. I will limit myself to 1/2 can today and work my way down from there.
D -going shopping for something to wear for a presentation. I will make an effort not to be too hard on myself based on what I see in the mirror.
