Well, so far today I have stayed on plan. I already did my walk/run. It was the c25k week 1 day 3. It seemed harder to me today, but I made it through. When I add on that extra 30 seconds on Tuesday, I hope I make it. LOL. I hope everyone had a great weekend. By the way, what day are we on now? I'll have to figure it out.
|
I just recounted the days to make sure I was on the right count. This is supposed to be Day 58! :) (I was off by a day.) We are 58 days into it. Way to go, everyone!!

Hey guys!
I'm reconfiguring my weight loss approach.... or rather, sort of transitioning from maintenance. Sort of. I am trying to reframe my mindset from "linearly moving along towards a lower weight" to "general stasis of eating right and exercising." I deleted my ticker and I think I need to stop participating in challenge threads like this one. I may even try to stop calorie counting and just eat "right." We'll see if I can give up calorie counting haha. Anyway I wanted to let you know that I did not abandon you all or quit, just moving towards a different mindset. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!!! :) :) :) |
Indi, you are such an inspiration, you have been so diligent for months and months! Good luck with your maintenance, I know you will do great! Check in on us!
Hi Jolina! Thanks for checking in! Miatu, Glad you had an OP day and got your run in. Tyla, thanks for getting our days right LOL Well, I guess it's just us kids, moving along to day 59! |
Day 59 :)
Indi, I'm so sad you won't be participating with us. You're doing absolutely great, and It would be so awesome if you'd stay, but I realize you have to do what's best for you. Best of luck to you!! Miatutu, I want to congratulate you for keeping the C25K going. It's hard. Wow, I admire you!!! I didn't do it yesterday as planned. My knees still hurt, but I'll try it today. And if that doesn't work, I'll certainly do something. I do exercise everyday. NoMore, keep up the great work. Yes, it's just us few now. Let's keep it going. |
Hello Ladies. It looks like there are only a few of us left. I wonder how many signed up for this challenge to begin with? Anyway, I am on plan today so far and got my exercise in for the day too. I didn't weigh in this morning like I usually do. I had an okay weekend, and I feel bloated, and I didn't want to see a gain on the scale and get discouraged when I have been doing so well. Tomorrow, I start week 2 of C25K. Hopefully that goes well, and the rain holds off. Everyone have a good evening.

I still want to swing by and say hi and keep you guys MOTIVATED!!! Christmas is so close! Don't give up!!!
I really hesitated "quitting" this thread because I hate quitting challenge threads, but I think I need to. I made a lot of changes yesterday- I put away my scale and didn't calorie count. I ate what I knew I should eat (I know the calorie counts pretty much by heart now :D) and just focused on that. Maybe I can come swing by and report generally on how things are going and cheer you guys on. Trying to find balance is the key right now so hopefully that will be a nice medium between every-day reporting and no reporting at all. Keep up the AWESOME work, team!!! :carrot: |
Today is day 60 of mindful eating and exercising! :dancer: :yay: Can you believe it?! It's 2 months!!
Indi, yes, please keep dropping by. We would love it! Miatutu, I think it's great that you continued on with the C25K Challenge. I'm so proud of you. Since I jogged the other day my poor knees are still hurting (from an old injury I forgot about). I walked briskly on the treadmill, however. I also have an elliptical I work out on. So I make sure I do something everyday. But I do not want to reinjure my knees, so I'll have to discontinue the C25K routine. Miatutu, I know jogging is an excellent way to shake things up a bit and get rid of those unwanted pounds. Keep up the great work! :cheer2: NoMore, you say you jog daily? How long and how far? Kudos to you! I'm in awe. |
Fiddle Sticks, I typed up a long post then went back to see where I wrote that I jogged daily and lost it DOH
Indi, we'll always need a cheerleader! Went back and checked, we had 23 sign up initially. Any lurkers, come back for the last 40 days until Christmas! Enough time to maybe lose a pants size by holiday pictures :) Miatu, I am amazed at your C25K progress too, I am weak! Tyla, I only jog for like 30 seconds LOL I start out my workout on the treadmill walking and then jogging about a minute until I can't breath, just to get my heartrate up. Then I go to the other strength equipment. I need to keep going around to the treadmill to keep my HR up the whole 30 minutes. I recorded a Yoga video and did 30 minutes at home yesterday, I really enjoyed it and my thighs are sore this morning! Was up 2lbs but its TTOM, fun fun. Have a great day chicks! |
Still on plan, still going. WHEW, ladies... I wanted some potato skins in the WORST WAY yesterday... so I made some, just my version! I used a redskin potato, jalapenos, a bit of cheese and my oven to bake them.. and I stayed on plan! I was 80 under my calories for yesterday, too. And I was satisfied and now I don't want to stray!
Keep going, lovlies! :D |
Those potato skins sound scrumptious Kate!

Goodevening ladies. Hope everyone had a great ON PLAN day:) I was on plan and exercised, so today was a good day. Completed week 2 day 1 of C25K. I forgot to download the podcast, and I couldn't find my stopwatch so I had to hold my cell the whole time to check the time. Wasn't fun. Anyway, I made it through and that was all that counted. Everyone have a great evening.

NoMoreKnit What helped me SO much with breathing when running is yoga. A really good yoga teacher will have you focus on your breath more than anything- full inhales and exhales of equal length... everything controlled. I now finish long runs without getting out of breath at all. It's amazing
Kate My fiance and I love making homemade sweet potato fries. I don't know if it would help with your potato skin cravings, but they are delicious! We just slice sweet potoatoes into thin strips, toss with a bit of oil, salt, and pepper, and bake them at 400 for about 30 minutes. They are delicious! Miatutu congrats on your C25K progress! |
Thank you everyone for your support on the C25K program. Some days I really need it. I am thinking of doing the turkey trot on thanksgiving morning. I would propbably be walking more than running, but I think it is what I need to do to keep myself motivated. I think I get more support from you gals, than I do from my own family.
|
The turkey trot sounds like a great mini-goal Miatu!
I feel akward talking about calories and exercise all the time with my coworkers and family so this forum is a lot more supportive to me too! Indi, I was overwhelmed with the yoga, so many things to focus on at one time! Navel In, tailbone down, breathe from diaphragm, etc etc I'm sure I wasn't breathing right! I need to focus on that more. Day 61 Ladies! :carrot: |
