Day 40 :)
Indie, how many calories do you allow yourself? |
DAY 40!! :carrot:
Weight the same this morning as yesterday, which makes no loss for the week :( Oh well, 60 more days to go! |
Day 40
Exercise: 20 minute leisurely walk IF: started eating at 1 PM pumpkin & black bean soup (.75 c?) .25 c sauteed okra huge serving of bean salad ~15 almonds 1 c soy milk 3 carrots 1/2 apple roasted beets with dijon mustard (yum) ~1 carrot cake cupcake + a few bites of some chocolate cake our neighbor brought over. tyla I aim for 1200, but admittedly have probably been more at 1300-1400 lately. Since starting a modified Eat to Live diet (I still have been eating sweets, as you can see. Hope to really cut back on those soon) I've been more lax about portion size, which is why I'm not sure my exact calorie count. My weight is up a few pounds right now. I am not sure if that's due to my period or random fluctuations or what. I hope to see a drop (back down to 122? would love to see 121?) in a few weeks. If not, I'll have to go back to being more strict about weighing/measuring. |
I'm a day behind but still going strong and hoping to see a good number on the scale at my Sunday WI and get to change my ticker after a couple of weeks of having to catch back up with myself.

Hello everyone. Hope everyones week went well. My eating has been a bit messed up the last few days. Went a few hundred calories over yesterday and just a bit over the day before. The munchies are getting to me bad. Scale was up a pound yesterday, but TOM should be making his araival any minute so I think it is just water. I have been upping my exercise. Yesterday I walked 4 miles and did an exercise video too. I usually only walk a mile and a half, so this was alot for me. I have been hungrier too, and I think it is because of the extra exercise.
My dietician has me on 1400 calories, but when I look at websites they have me at anywhere from 1650 to 1875 for calories. I don't now what I should be eating. When I went to the dietician, I was not doing any exercise. I exercise now at least 5 days a week if not more. (Lately that is) Do any of you have any idea how many colories I should be eating. I am thinking of upping it to 1500-1550 and see if I keep losing. If not I can lower it back down. I could always go back to the dietician, but it isn't covewred in my insurance, and I hate to pay that bill if I don't have to. Any suggestions? |

WTG on the exercise Miatutu. I aim for 1200-1400 calories, but don't do near the exercise as you either. April, hope you have a positive WI on Sunday! Hmm, maybe I should make my WI day Sunday to curb my weekend snacking! On to the weekend, I'm NOT going to make myself stall out again this week! |
miatutu I would say it's worth trying to up the calories and see if you continue to lose. OR, try to make the food you eat on a lower-calorie diet more fiber-full and nutritious. I have learned that 1200 calorie of vegetables and beans keeps me REALLY fueled, even on days I exercise, but if I spend some of those calories on sweets and carbs it doesn't go very far. Just a thought- let us know how it goes.
Day 41 Exercise: 20 minute leisurely walk, 45 minute moderate yoga IF: Er... didn't really. Food: 1.25 c chickpeas 2 roasted beets 1 c soymilk 1 serving thai salad (green beans + radishes + bell peppers + tofu with soy sauce/lime juice/peanuts) .25 c hummus + .25 bell pepper .75 of an apple (fiance stole some slices!) desserts... blah... a few bites of different cakes we had lying around. I think I came in okay on calorie, but I may have eaten some almonds I forgot to count, which would have put me at 1350... a bit over. Good news is we now have NO sweets in our house, yay! Finally. Halloween candy, but that doesn't tempt me... only the home-baked goodies. |
Day 42
Started off great, but was hungry all day after my long run and definitely overeat at a Halloween party.... Exercise: 1 hour/5.6 mile run IF: No, ate a banana pre-early morning run and veggies post-run Food: 1 serving Thai salad (peppers, radishes, tofu + peanut/soy sauce/lemon juice dressing) 1 c garbanzo beans 1 banana 1/2 frozen banana in chocolate 2 c romaine salad with apples and celery a few strips bell pepper ... then went to the Hallowen party in our apartment complex and had corn salad, tomato salad, a few scoops of different pasta dishes, probably a total of 1.5 cupcakes.. a few bites of candy corn... and equivalent of 2-3 drinks :( GRUMBLE. Ok. It's over. Today's a new day. |
still plugging away and got a 4 lb loss for the week to show for it!! This is a net loss of 3.6 lbs below my prior low and puts me about where I would have been without the gain a couple of weeks ago.

Day 43: Posting this a few hours before I go to bed in an attempt to NOT EAT anything else tonight. Exercise: 40 minute power walk uphill (treadmill) IF: Started eating at 1 PM Food: Sambar (Indian vegetable soup)- not sure the amount but low in cals 1 serving Thai vegetable salad (radishes + peppers + tofu + soy sauce/lemon juice/peanut dressing) 1.5 c chickpeas 1 c celery soup 1 c soy milk 1 apple 10 almonds Somehow all of this added up to my daily calories! Yikes. I felt like I ate nothing today. Anyway, had a few nibbles of sweet things in addition but not enough to offset exercise. All in all a good day. |
WTG April!
Indi, that doesn't look like much to me either! Day 43!! Had my nephews 5th bday party yesterday and managed not to go over my calories with all the cleaning and walking I did preparing for party. Was expecting the sodium from frito pie to make weight jump up but am right where I was yesterday. Making today another OP day! |

April, way to go on the weight loss. Good work.
Did pretty good this weekend. I have been doing the IF the past couple days and it has worked out well. I went to a halloween party yesterday, and did pretty well. I think I stayed within my calorie limit. Same for today. I find the IF not to bad, as long as I am able to keep busy. I haven't exercised yet today, but plan on doing it once I get myself off the computer. I only walked one mile yesterday because we were on the go most of the day. I am going to up my calories a bit this week and get back to my usual exercise routine and see what happens. I think I am going to try 1500 for this first week. Everyone enjoy the rest of your day. |
