Day 61 :yay: Plus, I finally lost another .2 of a pound. All this hard work and .2 of a lb!
|
Hey Tyla, just like you told me last week, any loss is a loss! And as little as you are, i'm sure it shows!! WTG!
|
Ugh, I havent been eating salads with my lunch like I was at first. I had one today, and my stomach pain is reminding me that I need more fiber daily!
|
Tyla, just like NoMOreKnit said, any loss is still a loss, so don't be hard on yourself. When you get down to the end, it always takes longer to lose. Keep your chin up and be proud!
I stayed on plan again today, and got my exercise in. Had to workout inside because it poured all day. I have C25K tomorrow, so hopefully the rain will stay away. Hope everyone had a good day. |
miatutu I totally hear you about yoga. I have been doing advanced yoga for years and I STILL forget to do x or remember Y, even in basic poses.
The best yoga teachers I have had have made breathing the central part of the class. In one class the class went SO SLOWLY that we only did 10 poses... it was that slow. We had to control our breathing the whole time. And you know, holding certain poses for 2-3 minutes at a time and not letting yourself start breathing rapidly is really really hard and exhausting! tyla YEAH!! The way I see it, you are going to be eating "on plan" the rest of your life, right? So there's no "end" date to it- there's no deadline as to when you have to lose. As long as you have your behaviors down pat (which it sounds like you do), the weight loss will come when it comes- whether it takes a day or a month or a year. So every .1 lb (or in this case .2 lbs) is just icing on the cake to another day/week being on plan! NoMore get those salads in!! They cost nothing in calories and tons in nutrients- no excuses :D :D |
Indi, yes it was holding the legs out while bent upside down that REALLY hurt LOL
Didn't get my exercise in yesterday, it was raining and our equipment is outdoors. Then I went home and sat on my couch instead of doing the yoga video again :( Miatu, glad you had an OP day and even got your exercise in! Good Morning Tyla! Day 62! We are really doing it ladies! |
One More thing, APRIL SNOW? I miss you!
Remember my target jeans I bought last month and couldn't button? I wore them this weekend!! :carrot: |
Hey, all! I am new to this thread! (invited by NoMoreKnit, thanks!)
I guess I will complete the remaining 39 days with y'all! I just started back OP after gaining back a little more than half the weight I lost when I first started chatting with 3FC members. I let the summer get the best of me! Plus, I took up a new hobby.. CAKE DECORATING! sooo fun, but not so good for the weight loss. lol! I am excited to be a part of your group! I have been OP since Monday.. so that makes this day four, its not hard for me this time around simply because I remember how healthy I felt 25-30 pounds lighter, AND how terrible I feel now. I also remember how much HAPPIER I was then, compared to now. I guess what Jillian Michaels says, holds truth, once we get healthy, everything kind of falls into place. Also she talks a lot about hormones having a huge impact! I know I can do this, because Ive done it before! Now I just need the changes to stick! Off to update my tracker.. I am no longer in the 150's.. :( dang! |
Yay, Welcome Wendee! Way to go for four OP days already. So glad you are back on the right track!
I've always wanted to take a cake decorating class, it sounds like fun! But yes, I would have to bring the pretty cake to work and not take it home! That is my biggest weakness, sweets. I can not have them in the house or I will scarf them all while the rest of the family sleeps :( |
Hello all!!
I have 37 days left in my "100 on plan" plan... :) I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm still OP and I will STAY OP! I've lost most of my OP lbs since 11/1, strangely enough... I was 218 on 11/1 and I weighed in at 211 this morning!! :carrot: I WILL STAY ON PLAN!! :D |
It's day 62! :yay: Can you believe it?! Only 38 more days until Christmas!! Man, everything is happening so quickly this year! I'm still getting used to the idea that Thanksgiving will be here next week, and that Halloween is already over! Sheesh, and it's almost 2012!! Wow, I just overwhelmed myself.
Wow, this board is hopping! I love it. NoMore, thank you for your supportive words. Yes, a loss is a loss, so I am happy that the scale is moving downward. And congrats to you for taking yoga. I hear that is one of the best exercises for your body. I took a class once, but it seemed to be moving so slowly and the instructor spoke so softly that I would fall asleep in class. So I never really gave it a real shot. I thought it wasn't for me. I guess it all depends on the instructor. Indi, it's so good to see you on the board. And you are so right! I'll be doing this the rest of my life, so I should be happy with my progress. Like you said, I am practicing better behaviors. For example, now when I want to eat extra, I stop myself and ask, "what's really going on"? I'm usually stressed about something. Not really hungry. Good for me to realize this! This is huge for me! Miatutu, thank you also for your supportive words. Yes, it does seem to take a lot longer to lose these last few pounds. But I shall hang in there. Congrats to you for continuing the C25K. I'm extremely proud of you!! Sorry that it rained yesterday. Good job on getting your exercise in. Hope the weather is better today. Wendee, welcome. I'm so glad you're with us! I'm sure you'll do great these next 38 days. We are a supportive bunch, so we'll support you any way that we can. Good luck to you!! Hi Kate! I was posting the same time as you, so I almost missed you. Super congrats on your outstanding weight loss!! Glad you stopped by, and told us the good news. I love our group! :grouphug: |
Kate, you are doing an awesome job! Keep It Up! I bet you'll hit Onederland before Christmas!!
Tyla, I just DVR'd a yoga video (Total Body Workout Yoga), I'm not actually attending a class. I'm planning on doing that at home on my three days home and doing my strength training routine my days at work. And we love you too :) What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? Any specific dish you are making? Are you trying to be OP that day? We are going to my grandparents house and i've been tasked to bring mashed potatoes. I know I will go over 1200 that day but I will not just stuff myself delirious like years past! I do not want a gain for that week! |

As for T-giving, I'm making a lot of it, so I know those things will be "good" to pick from. I'm making the turkey, brussel sprouts (love!), carmelized cauliflower and the gravy. My cousin is making the green bean cass and it'll be "traditional" but I love hers, so I'm having a scoop... but just one. I'm also making the pumpkin cheesecake cups from skinnytaste.com, so I hope those are good. I'm also making cupcakes, but those will be regular ones, and I'll just have one of those. :) I will go over my cals, most likely, but I will remember to drink my water and move around, and to NOT go over 2000 (1800 if I can help it!). |
Hey ladies,
Thanks for the welcomes! :) I am going to not be OP on Thanksgiving, but like Katleestar, I am going to try and keep myself under 2000 for the day. It shouldnt be too difficult, I will just have a protien shake (220 cals) for breakfast, and then have my big thanksgiving dinner around 2:00pm. I dont think I will be too terribly hungry for dinner, but if I get snacky, I will have some steamed veggies! I am making my so very delicious pumpkin pie (as I do every year!) But I am going to substitue regular sugar for half splenda half brown sugar, and use the light condensed milk. Fat free whip cream, of course! Shouldnt be too bad! I figure if I can stay OP for a year (which I have done) I deserve to indulge a little on the holidays! Small portions and being smart about what I am eating will be the key! NoMoreKnit- Cake decorating is soooo fun! here are some pics of the cakes I have done (I havent taken any classes or anything, just jumped in after a few good epidodes of Cake Boss and a recipe for fondant! :) http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/...babyshower.jpg For a girlfriends baby shower http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/...r/fallcake.jpg Fall themed cake! http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/...er/Maxbday.jpg My first cake for my sons 5th birthday! Anyway! Its a hoot! Tons of fun! I am making my step dad a cake this weekend for his birthday- it will be poker themed (he loves poker) so fun! |
Wendee those cakes are AMAZING!!!
