ALEKS, I totally believe it. I wish I'd done my measurements in the beginning, but apparently I just wasn't that cool. Now I'm excited to take them at the end of each month, so regardless of what's going on I can see some form of progress(hopefully!). Great job on the workout, BTW!

I did it. I really freakin' did it!

DAY ONE OF C25k!

Ok, my intervals got a little shorter toward the end, and I only made it 15 minutes instead of 20 (I was afraid if I didn't turn around and head back towards home I wasn't gonna make it. lol).

Wow. I had totally forgot that amazing feeling I get when I exercise. Like everything is super bright and clear and like all the cells in my body are zinging. Wow.

Good Morning Girls-

I am so relieved to survive the weekend. Plus I learned I really can make good food choices and still enjoy the meal. Also learned it is definitely worth it. Last night at dinner I had only one glass of wine, salmon and stopped myself before I polished off all the mashed potatoes! I only had a taste of the dessert and enjoyed a cup of hot coffee instead.

So time to move on to a new week. Today should be easy after the weekend. All meals at home and my husband is going out of town. (No suprise pastries!) I have extra incentive this week as most of my summer clothes are wearable now. A bit tight but after I take off the next 5 pounds everything will fit perfectly. Then the next 5 pounds they'll start falling off and then after that I will need all new clothes! Hee-Hee. I dream of having such problems!

ninepaw-I hope I am not being too harsh but: Kick Those French Fries To The Door! They are never worth it. If they are something you feel you can't live without then I would make every effort not to be around them for the time being. You will be a happier person for it. BTW-I am with you on the aches and pains from exercise. I was living on Advil this weekend.

Rochester-Congrats on starting the C25K!

Oh, I love to hear about "zinging" workouts! That's so awesome! It's a feeling I did not know existed until I was an adult. It's quite addictive and it makes me wonder why on earth I ever quit before.

Yesterday I did not exercise and I just felt blah all day. I had no energy to do anything and was so tired. I couldn't wait to get back into things today!

40 minutes running: 3.1 miles in 40:30.
20ish minutes of walking .5 mile
One hour weight lifting
One hour elliptical 4.5 miles
TOTAL: Three hours and 8 miles today!

Terapet, not too harsh. I've been really good about things like that up until that day, and then it was just... Baaad. Haha. Those ones especially weren't worth it, I've gotta say. Just generally not that good... Unfortunate, but things happen.

I got very angry with my scale this morning(are you all sick of hearing that from me, yet??). I weighed in, and it said 251. I was excited, but weary... Becuase I always am! I always weigh myself several times to make sure the numbers aren't wonky, and every time after the first today, I was back to 252. What. A freaking. TEASE. Jerk. At the rate this is going, I'm going to be moving my ticker UP after my official weigh in tomorrow! Ugh. Not thrilled. So not how I wanted to be approaching my birthday this weekend!!!

Go Rochester!!! Isn't it awesome!? I'm totally in love. I'm probably doing day 2 tomorrow, since I have no idea when I'd fit it in today... Stuff to do, for once. Go figure!

I went to CUrves today. I like it!! Hopefully, they won't close ours down. The owner is trying to sell out.

This was a major NSV for me. Last year I signed up for the wellness program at work, which allows me to go to several different gyms at no charge. More than a year later (today!) I finally went to the gym!! I'm very proud of myself today.

good for you fcmonroe! that is such a great program to have..wish we had that here...maybe something like that would get people moving more with all that variety!

I worked out at the gym for an hour....feel great... these past 2 days have been fantastic for me!

I forgot to mention I did 20 minutes on a bike yesterday doing intervals...which burned over 300 calories! I don't know how accurate those readers are...but eh.

Well guys, I'm pleased to report that I did W1D2 of C25K this evening! I don't feel like I worked as hard as I did on Sunday, but the left side of my hip was hurting a bit almost the entire time I was out, so I knew I should take it easy... So I did. Going to try to give myself a couple days off to see if it gets better, and go for day 3 on Friday. Still feel good for getting through it, but I also don't want to hurt myself to the point where I can't do anything! I just hope it gets better soon... I really don't want to lose steam on this!!!

Diana, are you stretching before and after your runs? Supposedly you need to do a piriformis stretch to keep the muscles around your hips loose. A woman I know who just did the Boston M sent me this link for recommended stretching exercises: http://www.halhigdon.com/15Ktraining/Stretch.htm

Aleks, I checked out your blog. But I can't figure out how to comment on blogspot blogs from a 3FC blog.

Sounds like it's been a great exercise week for everyone. Woot!
