I have a pair of skecher shape ups. I like them but sometimes they make my last 2 little toes fall asleep. Its weird. I havent worn them much lately. My husband has plantar fascitis and got a pair too but he says they make his back hurt and hasnt worn them since. We are trying to find anything to help his feet, they comstantly hurt. I feel bad that theres nothing I can do for him.

Allison: Congrats on the weight loss! 180's, here you come! Thanks for the compliments, I really try hard to watch my eating and exercising, so getting compliments really keep me going.

POP still going - I did go to Olive Garden for lunch, but I had the minestrone soup and salad. Only had 1/2 of a breadstick, which for me, is really good. Breakfast was a Special K protein shake. Not sure about dinner, we're eating out, so I have to find something I can eat.

Work is calling, I'll check back later.

burgundy - a buddy of mine (one of the ones I go on long walks and hikes with all the time) has p. f. too and she got a podiatrist to make her special orthotics which make all the difference in the world to her. Has your hubby tried that route? I don't think they're cheap but they might be worth it if nothing else works. You are just doing so great - I bet it's time for another closet re-org

maddiesmom - way to go staying on plan. I'm convinced olive garden's breadsticks are the devil Sooo hard to resist.

I'm going to pop into the grocery store at lunch and buy more of those flatout wrap things. There might be more light quesadillas in my future this weekend

Keep it up girls! If you add up all of the weight lost between the folks in this forum alone, it's pretty amazing.

Vicky- I stay out of Olive Garden, love it and dont know that I could control myself.

Dance-yea Chris got some orthotics made too, I dont think he has them in the shoes he is wearing now. He also has boots he is supposed to wear while he sleeps but they are so big and bulky he hardly ever wears them.

I didnt finish out my 20 miles today, have tomorrow left. I did walk 2 miles in the rain today so 2 to walk tomorrow. Stayed home and cleaned today, house looks pretty good, still have some laundry to do but theres always tomorrow. Have a party to go to tomorrow night. There are gonna be healthy foods there so thats a plus. Gonna go to bed early tonight, tired of staying up so late all the time. Talk to you all tomorrow.

I ended up walking 5 miles with a friend last night instead of going furniture shopping and I'm glad I did although the scale isn't budging - still not at ticker - argh! I was going to run this morning but my legs are telling me to be more mellow so I'll just stick to an afternoon walk in the park with another friend instead. Stuck to plan food-wise and plan to do so again today. I've gone back to tracking every single thing on thedailyplate again for a while and I think it's going to be good for me.

burgundy - you can knock out those two miles today, easy! Hope you have fun at the party!

happy mothers day, maddiesmom and mygrits!

I got in a good walk yesterday and did fairly well with eating but I had a few dove chocolates after dinner for a treat - haven't added up the calories yet but I probably went over a bit.

What's everyone doing today?

Hi ladies - it's me again...

Well I don't think I could commit to much until I was ready...I've had a good week - best since oh say December - working out, eating good and feeling much better. I guess it came with time. I'm sleeping again too - whew. My life seems more normal now than it's been in years and it feels good. I'm pretty sure this time - is the time

I read back on your posts and wow - you are all doing so well. Burgandy - heading for the 180's...that must feel so awesome and Vicky - you are close to 100's - amazing - and those are just some of the small mentions

Speaking of that, I'm heading to the gym I am watching a show with Meg Ryan with shorter hair and it makes me want to cut mine off...so I'd better distract myself!

I will hopefully check in more now to get some motivation and now that I am making time for myself. I turned 38 today - maybe that was it

PS - I saw pictures of Nikki on FB - and wow!!!! What a great motivation for me too

Dance-good job on the 5 miles. I did finish out my 20 miles plus one. 21 is the most I have ever walked in a week.

Staccie-happy birthday. You sound like everything is on track this week. Good for you. Have fun at the gym. Oh and yes it does feel great to get close to the 180s. Wanna be 185-186 by June 7th.

Happy mothers day to all the moms, even the ones with furry babies. We are gonna take some flowers to the cemetary in a bit to put on my MILs grave. Need to call my mom in a bit. She broke up with her boyfriend last weekend, I am so glad, he was just using her. I have heard from her more this last week, than I have in a long time. Cant wait to go see her in June. Might help my cousin get her nursery ready for the baby some more if she needs help later. I'm gonna try making eggplant for dinner. Just dont know how I want to cook it. Any suggestions?

burgundy - Grilled eggplant can be yummy or I found this version of a light eggplant parmesan that sounded interesting - http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/re...cipe_id=332680. I may give it a try myself soon. You definitely seem on track to make your june goal - are you doing something special on that day?

staccie - happy birthday!!! Glad to see you back! You seem like you are in a good place to focus on your health and well-being - that's really what it is even more than rocking some skinny jeans, don't you think?

Things are good here - struggling with allergies a bit but plenty of healthy leftovers in the fridge which is nice. Enjoy your sunday evening, girls!

even tho i am sick and still not feeling that great, i had a great mothers day. the girls gave me my gift on friday when i got home from work. (they could not wait till sunday) they got me a silver necklace with the word mom and the o is a dimond, then they got little girl charms with their birthstones in the middle to go on the necklace as well. it is beautiful. then the hubby got me flowers.

today we went out in the back field and planted 12 trees. apple, plum, peach and walnut. cant' wait to see if they grow and eat some fresh fruit.

hope all the mothers had a great day today.

diet and eating wise not to good this weekend. i sold my elliptical and found treadmil i want. will need to talk to the bank and refinance my loan to buy it.so will have to wait and see about that one.

gotta go
have a good night all

Thank you to Dance and Burgundy for the Mother's Day wishes...too bad my day was a nightmare, but I won't get into that.

Staccie: Welcome back! We missed you (and your sense of humor!) Glad you are doing well and hopping back on the weight loss train. It's true, you really don't focus until you are ready to do something, if you aren't feeling the whole weight loss thing, you can't commit to it. Glad you're back!

Burgundy: How was the eggplant? I don't really eat it, but if you made it in a way that tastes good, let me know, I'll willing to try anything! Hope your mom is doing better, it's hard to end a relationship (no matter how much trauma it can cause).

Momof2: Sorry you're not feeling 100% yet, it's really hard to focus on your health when you're being drawn in 5 billion directions. Hoping you can focus on yourself a bit and get some healthy food into you...you'd be amazed how much better you feel when you start filling your body with the foods that it really needs to recooperate.

As for me, had a training session with Jeff, who had me doing the isometric exercises again. I tell you, they don't appear to be hard, but they really are. Burned another 550 calories. Went to the gym again yesterday and did the treadmill on an incline for 45 minutes, then worked on my isometric exercises. I'm liking this new gym...there was only 1 other person there besides me during my workout, and he left about 20 minutes after I got there, so I was able to work out on my own. Not too shabby, then you don't have to be so self-conscious. Scale didn't go down this week, but I know I'm building muscle, so I'm getting over that need to see the scale go down, even though it's a nice reminder that I'm losing.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday, I'll check back later.

morning, girls - ugh - what I thought yesterday was allergies turns out to be a cold with a cough that hurts and a voice that doesn't really work. Definitely a pity party day here.

Maddiesmom - sorry your day wasn't good but it sounds like you got an amazing workout - that's great!

momof - hope you're starting to feel better! Your fruit trees sound great - how nice to have your own orchard.

Off to make some more tea - will check in later...

Dance-We are leaving for Alabama on June 7th and want to be at 50 lbs lost by then. I was almost at 190 this morning, well 191.2 Cant wait to hit 189. Are you feeling better tonight? Maybe this cold wont last too long.

Momof2-sorry you are sick too. I hate colds this time of year. The necklace your girls gave you sounds so sweet. I'm coming to your house when your trees start bearing fruit, yum. lol.

Vicky-the eggplant was good. I went the easy route and just tossed it and some frozen green beans in some olive oil with a little Mrs Dash and put in it the oven til it got a little crispy. It was good. My mom is doing good, the guy she was with was an a$$hat. She is ok with the breakup. She has wanted to do it for a long time. Thanks for asking about her.

I worked in my yard today for 4 hours with Chris and my SIL. We shoveled gravel and spread it down the driveway and raked a lot of the grass out of my garden. I am so ready to get some veggies in the ground. Didnt go for a walk, I was pretty tired after all that. My pups played outside the whole time too so they werent up for a walk either, they are already in bed. I want to get all the grass out from the side of my house and get some dirt in there and plants. Might start on that tomorrow if it doesnt rain all day. Gotta find some mulch to throw in there too. Dont have the boys until the weekend(maybe). She hasnt asked me to keep them any other day this week (YET). So I will have plenty of time this week to get things done around here.

hey ladies...

wow long day...and I slept in so it made my day totally disorganized...I was mad because I missed my workout - the buzzer did not go off on my phone so I have to double set them tonight....

Vicky - your workouts sound awesome...I'm so happy to be back at my old gym - I noticed how more comfortable I feel there - that is so important.

Burgandy - so jealous of your yardwork...I love doing that, but alas I don't have a lawn or a garden - but I remember when I did and I loved it.

Dance - ouch - hope you get better - I haven't been allergy sick at all since I left vancouver - knock on wood....

Mom - hope you are feeling better too.....

Well Dancing with the stars is on, I swore I would never watch shows like this but I am addicted, I get to watch TV again - I think I am going to invest in a WII

Well hope you all have a great day tomorrow. I have a reception tomorrow night so I won't be in until late - but happy healthy day!!

burgundy - that's so cool! will you see people in AL that you haven't seen in a long time? I'm sure they'll be blown away with your changes.

staccie - too funny about DWTS - I don't share that particular addiction but I have my own guilty pleasures on tv - anyone ever watch 'say yes to the dress'? Silliness but I enjoy the wedding dress stuff.

I'm staying home sick again today and getting some work done but not tons. Ugh - I hate having a cold. I'm a wimp though - I hardly ever get sick so I probably make a bigger deal out of it than I should Eating yesterday went out the window unfortunately (yep, a whole box of pineapple popsicles - it seemed like the only thing that would keep me from coughing) but I'm going to try to keep it reasonable today.

Hope everyone's doing great...
