Hey girls. Sorry i'm not on much. Just feeling really down. They lost our paperwork yet again for korea. The sargeant that my husband gave it to AGAIN a few weeks ago..moved. And they can't find our paperwork. So, basically nothing has happened and we're starting all over.. again. It's either a sign that I shouldn't be there... or god testing my strength and desire to be with my husband. I will choose the latter. I still have hope. I'm just tired that after 9 months of being apart.. things like this are happening. I can't wait to have a normal life again.

All this stress either makes me want to eat compulsively or not eat at all. Well I haven't been eating that great. But I will try to eat more.

I'll talk to you guys later. I will try to post more.

Neesy that sucks for you guys. I cant imagine what it would be like to be away from my husband for 9 months. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they dont lose your paperwork again. Just stay strong, it will all work out.

Neesy - I'm so sorry about all the delays - that must be incredibly frustrating. Hang in there and make yourself eat some healthy stuff - I'm worried about your metabolism if you're barely eating.

momof2 - welcome! Sounds like you have a busy life and a challenging schedule. Fitting in all this diet and exercise stuff is tough, don't you think? A lot of us are still working through the challenges too. I hope you don't mind my offering an unasked for opinion but 1200 cals is pretty little for your current size and is definitely less than I could get by with if I wanted to include working out too. Just a thought, but if it's working for you I certainly wouldn't want to mess with success.

burgundy - good for you for getting in that walk. And for moving boxes - it's nice to get some exercise the old-fashioned way by doing something productive that just happens to involve moving around, don't you think?

Weekend was good - we had a nice time in Boulder and a great hike in the 70 degree sunshine today - about 2.5 hours so definitely burned some calories. Am off to put together a quick dinner before crashing.

Hope you all are doing well!

Hi Girlfriends......

It is late, but wanted to peek in and say HI! LOL........

Neesy what the **** is wrong with the Army?? Good grief you would think you were trying to fly to the moon or something. I am so sorry for the 'stupidity' however I know they will get it straight and soon. It is there a higher ranking Commander you can contact or write? Did they, or you make copies? I am just trying to think of ways to expedite this. What about his initial recruiter? Sometimes they can offer some direction even after they have transferred. Let us know.

Dance I didn't read back yet, but will. Daytona is about 20 minutes from me. I grew up in Orlando and this week start going down on Thursday to help my mom.

Ok tomorrow is my day off, my birthday and guess what I'm am doing.......WALKING!! Hurt foot or not, I am going to a long 3 mile walk!! LOL...that is my birthday present to myself.

Well, heading to bed. I will check in tomorrow. Nite.

Thanks girls. I'm making myself eat. I just don't have much of an appetite though.

Grits- First off.. Happy Birthday!!!!! I hope you have a great day. Hope you have a great walk.. don't hurt yourself further! You have come such a long way. Just think of where u were on ur last birthday!

about my mess:
I've emailed, called, and made my husband harass everyone possible over there. I found one lady that is concerned and trying to help. She works in the office that will process our application, however she can't receive the paperwork from us. It has to come from his sargeant. But she did call my husbands S1 and chewed him out. She told him it was unacceptable that this keeps falling through the cracks and that they are obligated to soldier's and their families to make sure that it is sent on quickly. So.. we'll be turning it in again tomorrow. This time.. i'm going to have my husband ask his sargeant to CC him on the email when they send it to the office. That way we KNOW it gets to the right place. Hopefully this will not be a pain. Everyone else I know that has gone to korea only takes 3-4weeks. Ofcourse.. me.. it takes several months. But.. I know it will happen. Everyone around me keeps telling me that maybe this is a sign that I shouldn't go. I refuse to believe that. How is it not a good thing to try and be with your spouse. I will keep trying. I cannot wait for his term with the army to be over. I will definitely not be joining myself after all of this mess.

Thanks for the concern everyone. It's nice to see people that genuinely care. I'll get there. Just a few bumps in the road. =)

neesy: hope everything works out and you can be with your husband soon. i can't imagine what that feels like. keep up the good work tho, you're doing great.

dancerindenver: i'm not sure on the 1200 calories, i put all my info into the calorie tracker and that is what it came back as i should stick to. i usaully do ok each day. i do get hungary but that is because i am used to eating probably 2500 a day or more and eating what ever when ever i want.
i'll stick to it for a few weeks see how i do.

i did weigh myself today and after my first full week it looks like i lost 4 lbs.
wish i had a tracker already to i could change it.

well back to work after being out all week with my daughter in the hospital, was nice not going to work, but not the reason i was gone. and now i am behind a week. so i have to work my *** off the rest of the month to keep up to everyone else.
have a good day ladies.....

Sandy: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Don't push your heel too far with a 3 mile walk...maybe a 3 mile bike ride to keep from hurting?!? Hope you have a fabulous day. You deserve it!

Neesy: So sorry this is going on with the army. I can't believe how long it's taking. I wouldn't see it as a sign you shouldn't go...it's a sign about how much you are willing to conquer to see your hubby. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep your head up, you will weather this storm.

Momof2: I think 1200 calories may be too low, especially since you want this to be a lifelong commitment. If you are working out, you have to be sure that you are eating enough to sustain you so you're not hungry. After a year of dieting and working out, I am now just starting to eat 1200 calories, I used to eat 1500-1800 depending on my workout. But, if you aren't hungry and are doing well, ignore everything I just said! LOL Are you counting calories as your weight loss plan??

Dance: Did you do the 5 days POP? I couldn't make it, I was so sick on Thurs/Friday I had no motivation, was completely exhaused and had no workouts. Ugh, I feel like crap! Glad you got your hiking in, something I will have to look into around here, just for a change of pace.

Burgundy: How many miles are you trying for this week? How many today? I'm going to attempt to get to the gym today, but don't want to overwork myself since I'm just starting to feel better. How was work with the boys?

Well, like I said, I've been sick since last Wednesday. It wasn't the coughing/sneezing that got me, it was the total feeling of exhaustion. Getting dressed was hard! I got up for an hour on Thurs/Friday to take Maddie to daycare, then I slept, until noon! Began reading the Twilight books (don't judge me...they're not bad!) LOL I only worked out twice last week, so I feel like a slug. Then I had a funeral on Saturday and the hubby was out on his motorcyle on Sunday, so I had Madeline to myself. We went to the park and played outside...it was nice.

So, it's back on plan this week, food and workout wise. Still at 210, which is 65 pounds gone! And over 30 inches are gone too! I gotta get back into the swing of things. Who's in with me on a workout today?

mygrits: happy birthday to you! Isn't it fun to think back on how much progress you've made since your last b-day? Hope you have a wonderful day and good luck with your foot!

maddiesmom - Yeah, I wimped out on friday too. No good reason. I need to get back to a disciplined place. I'm having too many treats that I don't need and am losing some of my good habits. Starting today, I'm going to make sure veggies are back front and center. I'm going to swing by Boston market on the way home and get a rotisserie chicken so I have no excuses.

Food plan for the day:
b: Yogurt and blackberries
l: subway tuna and apple slices
d: asparagus, chicken and quinoa, strawberries and splenda for dessert
grapes and cuties for snacks if needed

neesy - everyone's so different in how they think about things but my personal take on the papers getting lost would be that it's a frustrating setback but I don't believe in the 'it's a sign' kind of stuff. I agree with you completely - why would it possibly not be a good idea to be with your hubby? That whole 'things happen for a reason' thing has never made sense to me. Once something happens, yeah, you have to make the best of it, rise to the occasion, whatever, definitely but it doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying to get the outcome you want. Well, that's my long drawn out two cents, at least. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you guys!

momof2 - Have you tried the calorie calculator on thedailyplate.com? I like that one - it seems fairly realistic. Congrats on the 4lbs!! You are a rock star!

Okay, gotta finish a report, will check in later...

Dance-its so nice to do productive things that burn calories too. I told my friend anytime she needs help like that let me know. I'm always up for burning extra cals.

Sandy-have a very happy birthday. I know I texted and told you on FB but just wanted to tell you one more time. Have a great day and a nice walk.

Neesy-hopefully with all you have done making sure they get the paperwork this time that it will workout, dont ever give up. We're always here to listen when you need to vent.

Momof2-congrats on the 4 lbs, thats great. Keep it up.

Vicky-I am trying for 20 this week, did 3 yesterday. Would like to do 3 or hopefully 4 today. Work good, the boys werent too bad. Gotta do 9pm wed and thurs to 2 or 3 pm thurs and fri. Then their mom wants to take off to Florida cos she haas 10 days off. She asked her mom to help babysit those days but her mom told me she was gonna tell her no, those boys need their mom there. I will probably tell her no too. I didnt make it 5 days POP either, gotta get my act together. Just look at all those little cheerleaders in your signature. That is FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Gotta do some laundry today and straighten my house. Might rearrange some furniture, I get so bored with it the same way. Chris thinks I rearrange too much, but change is good. Got some stuff to take to thrift store at some point too. Time again for spring cleaning and decluttering.

Dance-I wish they were, I do have 5 pair of jeans that are too big, got rid of 3 of them, kept 2 cos they are comfy to wear around here. I did get rid of a bunch of stuff that isnt flattering anymore. Gave some to my cousin, still have lots sitting in my closet to get rid of. Th boys mom gave me some shorts and a few shirts, 11/12 and 13/14s and Large shirts. I just want this muffin top gone but I am good at hiding it. I need to take new progress pics and my measurements soon.

Burgundy - woohoo for loose jeans! How fun - can't wait to see your latest pics. Have you tried one of those shaper things that covers your torso? Spanx or similar? One that I've worn before is like a pair of undies that goes all the way up to your bra (and tucks in under, kind of) and it really smooths out the muffin-y area. Might be worth a shot for a special outfit/occasion but not wildly comfy for everyday wear, especially when it's hot out.

So, I'm kind of bummed about the whole diet thing today. The scale was up a few pounds this morning (and I REFUSE to update my ticker!!) - possibly some water retention after all my exercise this weekend but not exactly encouraging. And I feel like I'm losing my grip on making good choices. Anyone else ever get like this? Any advice? I do NOT want to see the scale slowly creep back upward after all this work.

Hi Girls and THANK YOU for the Birthday wishes!!!!!!!!! You all are so wonderful!!!!!

Burgund I was wondering if your clothes were falling off - if they do, hopefully it's at home! LOL......... You are such an inspiration for all of us - thank you for your perseverence!

Neesy I agree with Dance and keep going forward. It will work out and you will be with your husband...........hey, it will be a second honeymoon when you guys get together! Woo Hoo! I am wondering, how does he like Korea? Is it pretty? Does he like the food, city, countryside? Has he sent any pictures? Would love to see them if he has. ;-)

Ok, I have to confess, it has been a lazy birthday......LOL.......yes, no walk or bike ride...... I have texted, talked on the phone, baked bread and read......that's it and it was AWESOME! I will be more productive tomorrow, but I just wanted to do nothing. I may have told you all (can't remember) but on Thursday for my birthday my son and daughter-in-law took me for a pedicure, manicure and out-to-lunch for my birthday. My husband surprised me with a bike, remember? Well, on Friday he surprise me with a huge, beautiful stain glass to hang in our new home when we move. It is gorgeous!!!!! My daughter has made me something that she is bringing. She has been working on it for a few months. So I will let you know, when I know. My mom sent me money. I bought some shoes for work, hoping that will help me with my foot.

My food has been great today and looking forward to a yummy salad with avocado later. Love you all and thanks again for the well-wishes!
