I disgruntled. The scale goddess was not nice to me this morning. She said 160.2. Im not going to make goal for this month. I have to deal with not being disappointed. Try to grasp the NSV's and know that good things will come to those that are patient and trudge forward. So size 14 jeans is an accomplishment so is 36 bra size. 4 inches is a good indicator that things are happening even if the scale doesn't reflect it. Tomorrow is my doctors appointment and lab. That will be an indicator as well. I will try not to pout too much. Catch ya all later when I have more time. Pat

What is this, the Ides of February? How depressing! Hey, no pouting Diximae, NightAngel and Pokeycactus. We are only halfway through the month--throwing in the towel is not allowed! How much of your goal can you make in two weeks?

My weight is not moving down either because of our pal ToM--are we all migrating to the same cycle or what?!? Is it sympathetic water weight gain? Maybe we all need to stay off the wicked witch weighing machine and focus on the good workouts and eating healthy (yeah, right. I know tomorrow morning my butt is gonna be right back on that platform again. lol). Seriously, chickies, don't sweat it. You know it's just number, don't let it ruin your momentum. :cheer3:

TG: I thought of you when I heard the news of the gold medal this morning--awesome accomplishment!

Hope everyone else is hanging in there alright, and not going through too many withdrawals from Valentine's chocolates...

Dixiemae 02-15-2010 09:00 PM

Louisa~I hear ya. Thanks for the gentle kick in the rump. I reset my goal to loose 1.5 for the rest of the month. If I get more YEAH!!!!

Nella 02-15-2010 09:35 PM

OK, so I apologize for my lengthy absence, but it's been hectic! DH had his surgery and is recovering very well, so that's really good news. However being out of town and traveling led to bad, bad eating. I gained somewhere between 2 and 4 pounds. I just started eating and couldn't stop! Snickers, cookies, pasta alfredo, etc etc. It was insane. I'll blame it on stress, but I'm disappointed in myself. I had full intentions of sticking to my diet while we were away.

Anyway, I'm back and I took my happy behind to the gym tonight, so I'm feeling better. I started tracking my food again today, so a step in the right direction. I will admit though, the Easter candy monster got me today and I inhaled mltiple, yes multiple, creme eggs. They are my weakness in life.

I hope everyone is doing well and I hope I can catch up!

Just wanted to check in and say that I've been totally on plan and been exercising for the last 8 days. I hope to meet my goal this month, which is only 3 lbs., but with this long holiday I wanted to be realistic. One down, 2 to go.

Good luck, everyone.

Okay, I know there were some goal modification talks, and I got eclipse adjusted. If anyone else wants me to adjust stuff, let me know.
Our weekend was WONDERFUL!! I soooo enjoyed seeing old friends and relaxing (a break from working on house stuff). It was just great! I decided while I was away to reset and just focus on getting restarted on running and keeping my weight steady right now. I feel good about where I'm at and I'm loving running again. I even ran OUTSIDE this afternoon. Due to schedules today it actually worked out well to run outdoors, though it was a touch slick and cold. I can't wait for it to get about 10 degrees warmer and for the roads to clear a bit. I'm not loving breaking in my new running shoes, though. Anyway, overall it's going well. I'm trying to ease into my miles so I don't get shin splints or other typical aches and pains from over-doing it right away. Sorry I don't have time to look back and do personals, but I'll have more time tomorrow. :D

pokeycactus 02-16-2010 09:29 AM

Thanks LousiaH. :D

I'm not throwing in the towel, just being a grump. Can you reset my goal for 205 this month? Aaaand, I'm not going to weigh myself every morning. I always talk a big game about "I only weigh myself every two weeks" and that's ridiculous. I do for the most part, but lately, I've been compulsively on the scale at least twice a day. Which is ridiculous!

Tummy Girl 02-16-2010 10:57 AM

Morning Ladies,

We are off to Edmonton this morning so it is a quickie. Food is good, exercise is good and life in general is awesome. We are going to get my passports corrected (because the government suggested that having a passport that says I weigh 223lbs is not a good plan especially when the picture doesn`t look like me anymore) I`m glad someone mentioned this to me because I don`t know that it would have occurred to me. And then we have some shopping and we`re picking up a PVR so we can stop taping tv on our vcr, moving into the 21st century!

That is it over here, have a great day chickies

NightAngel26 02-16-2010 12:28 PM

Hello everyone...

I'm going to resist weighing myself until my TOM has passed... who knows, maybe I'll see a drop by then. I was discouraged at the 5 lb hike before my TOM and I don't want to get too upset about it... so...I'll check in with my weight after this is done.

Ms Perception 02-16-2010 12:56 PM

Hi all!
It's been a good day here. Running errands, doing laundry and all that jazz. I feel so much more settled in the house already this week. By the end of the week, I hope to be really settled in and done with our taxes (and my parents'), so I can move on to more relaxing things! LOL
I went to the local thrift store this morning and got a few tops and another pair of jeans (Sz.6). Now half my jeans/pants are 6s and half are 8s. I've decided I'm totally cool with that. I'm really thrilled to be content with my size and my my body, generally. I do remind myself that I may drop more once I'm in the heart of marathon training, which is kinda nice since it would coincide with swimsuit season. But I guess I'm gonna be a tiny bit of a slacker and ride out the rest of the winter in maintenance.
Unfortunately with my weekend out of town, my weight did blip up a couple pounds, so I need to get those off, but then I'm just gonna hang tight for a month or so. I almost feel guilty for being at this point. Is that weird or what!?

eclipse 02-16-2010 01:12 PM

I finally saw some downward movement on the scale this morning! Woot!

So, this is totally TMI, but that's what we do here, right? :lol I mentioned in my last post that I'm having some health issues that make excercise really difficult. What's going on is that I have two vaginal prolapses - first it was my bladder, which was bad enough, but now it is my rectum. Basically, things are colapsing into my vagina, like hernias. It is making passing bowel movements very difficult. I've been taking stool softeners, and they seemed to kick in yesterday and I've been going a lot since yesterday - so I'm hopeful that the scale will keep moving down and I will stay comfortable. If it doesn't resolve on it's own, I might need surgery in the next couple of months. My appointment with the specialist is in a few weeks, and I'll know more then.

In other, not TMI news, I pulled out a pair of shorts that I haven't been able to wear comfortably in ages, and they FIT! And when I say fit - I mean actually fit, not just that I can get them zipped. They're comfortable! I think they're a size 20, but I forgot to check. I'm also wearing an XL tank top that I haven't worn in ages - and it fits too! In most things, I'm still a 2X, but this shirt has some stretch to it and is meant to be snug around the breasts, so it fits just fine. The last time I tried it on, I felt like my boobs were going to bust themselves out :lol.

Anyhow, I've been a little depressed about the state of my girl parts, so clothing victories are good!

tyla 02-16-2010 01:46 PM

Just checking in to say I'm still on track.

nellonello 02-16-2010 02:27 PM

Not doing so well this month and TOM is here for a prolonged stay :( I just can't seem to find my groove these days.

mkat321 02-16-2010 02:31 PM

Hello all :) Sorry for the lengthy absence. Had a rough go of it, turning 32 has not been fun. But tomorrow is the first day of Lent and I'm all set up with my favorite clean foods and some brand new workout DVDs. Just have to get my weight room cleaned back up and it will be all systems go.
