Hey everyone, I think ToM has finally packed it up and left. I am at 196.8 this morning. He took a little less baggage with him than I was hoping, but I'm still on target for reaching goal this month, I think.

Tough week--sister and nephew in town (staying with me) for our sister's memorial on Saturday. It will be cathartic to be with all our siblings, but tough to keep track of calories without as much time to obsess on it like I usually do! I also will keep an eye on here, but won't have much time for personals.

Good going to everyone who is seeing some losses--this week seems to be better than last week, thank goodness!

Hey all, OP today and feeling pretty good. Need to get more done around the house instead of IMing friends all afternoon. It's been awhile though, so it was nice to catch up with them!

GOINGTOLOSE100 02-18-2010 03:49 PM

Hello everyone, my name is Trisha, I am fairly new to this site. Although I am in the 300+ club I came across this challenge and I would like to try it even though its a little late. I am going to challenge myself to lose 7lbs by the end of the month. Thank you all for your inspiration.

Starting 406 - January 3
Current 379 - Feb 21
1st mini 369 - Mar 1st --haven't seen that in about a year

Dixiemae 02-18-2010 07:25 PM

Hey hey I read 159 straight up this morning on the scale. wooo hoooo. Now if I can hold it and see the scale come down some more I would be the happiest camper. I want to see the numbers come down. I need 150 goal by April 1.

Dixiemae 02-19-2010 08:06 AM

Out of coureosity I stepped on the scale this morning. The scale goddess was very nice to me 157.6. This rocks my socks off!! A woosh!! I have been drinking 44 ounces of water these last few days. Would that make that big of a difference?? I had a wonderful salad of romaine raspberries, mandrin oranges, and walnuts with a drizzle of raspberry vinagerette for dinner. It was a good dinner. Thats the only thing I did differently. I marched 60 minutes for exercise. 190/500

Nella 02-19-2010 10:25 AM

Dixie - That's great news! I was down to 159.2 this morning myself! Yay for the 150's!

Ms P - Glad you are doing well!

Trisha - Welcome! Glad to have you aboard!

Louisa - Yay for TOM being gone! I hope things go well with your sisters memorial. I'm sorry for your loss however.

So not too much news here. Just down 3 of the 4 pounds I gained on my trip, so that's good news. I also ran for a mile straight last night. That's huge for me. I need to get some new running shoes though, don't want to spend the money, but it is what it is. Hopefully I can run a 5K in the next year or so. That would be great!

Tummy Girl 02-19-2010 10:40 AM

Morning Ladies,

Lousia - :hug:for a tough week, that sounds like that will be challenging for so many reasons, my goodness. At least you'll get to enjoy their company even if they're there for such a terrible circumstance.

MsP - dang computers, they suck the day away. I hope you manage to find some organizing time in that fabulous new house of yours. How is the running going, I'm curious how your endurance is coming back after the break?

Trisha - Welcome to the challenge, it's a wonderful place with some marvelous support and I hope you post often so we can all get to know you. Let us know what you need and we'll help out the nest we can.

Dixiemae - Well holy, that's some whoosh! Gotta love those days, you earned it though, whatever it was, enjoy!

Ran outside yesterday, just a bit, very slow, etc, etc but it was gorgeous! I miss it so much I could have cried and even better my hip felt like nothing had ever been wrong. So it was challenging to just go for a little while and keep the pace down but I managed and today everything still feels great, so far so good. I'm going to try and get out a little bit while the weather is so beautiful (it's 0 or 32F for our american friends ;))

Today is going to be fun, I am going to try and get some school work done, and then a short run/walk and then a hair cut this afternoon. I'm taking a good few inches off, to the chin I think and I haven't had it like that in about 6 years, since the last time I was thinner, which was still 30 heavier than I am now. Time to stop hiding behind the longer hair. There isn't a double chin anymore and I need to remember that.

Have a fantastic day ladies. And since Sandye is not here, don't forget to drink your water!

Good Morning...

Hello all... congrats to those losing weight right now, looks like everyone's on track. Nicer weather is coming for most of us who have snow.... and that usually means we have an easier time losing weight (or for me anyway... come on grow grass grow!!)

I am not weighing again till tomorrow.... I've been avoiding because of TOM and it will still be lingering to a degree tomorrow...but I should be safer. Wish me luck, I'm eating well and exercising a bit...it's all good!.

I see less belly on me lately... I can tell. I bet I can make the February challenge! :dizzy:

tyla 02-19-2010 12:28 PM

Good Morning, Everyone!

Just checking in to say I've been staying strong, but like an idiot I hopped on the scale only to have it read that I gained. Huh? I think it's time for a new scale. My husband tells me to stay off that thing, because he sees I'm working at it. Here's to staying strong for the weekend!

I'm so glad I weighed in this morning! I almost skipped it, because I threw my backout yesterday and just making it to the bathroom this morning to pee was a very painful experience. I decided to hop (or, uh, stagger) on to it anyway and I got a 249.4! I'm down FOUR pounds this week already, with one more day to go. More importantly, I'm out of the 250s AND (drumroll please!) officially have LESS THAN 100 LBS TO GO UNTIL GOAL!!!!

Anyhow, that's a nice spirit boost to have while I deal with my pain. I hope everyone has a great day!

FitGirlyGirl 02-19-2010 01:54 PM

I almost skipped the gym yesterday. My hubby is on swings right now and I end up being awake until all hours because of it. I very much did not want to go, but I talked myself into it and I am soo glad I did. I am now running 10.5 of my 60 treadmill minutes and jogging 9 of them. I am almost at 1/3 of my time being non-walking time. Some days I have thoughts that my goals are impossible, too hard for me, etc. - then I think of the fact that a few months back I would have thought the same of what I'm doing now and then I know I will be able to run marathons if I want to. Bonus - the scale was further down this morning to 178 :woohoo: And I'm an all. I was going through my boxes of next couple sizes down clothes to pull out stuff that fits now and put it in the closet. I have a wrap skirt that I have had since '07 and never been able to wear. It is labeled "one size fits all", so the fact that it didn't fit me was very painful to me. It fits now :yay:

I have also been letting my hair grow out and I have now become one of those girls - you know, the ones running on the treadmill with the ponytail bouncing back and forth. I'm also apparently hated for it. There's a girl at the gym who doesn't have the right kind of hair for it and she looks at those of us with the twitchy ponytails like she wishes our hair would burst into flames. I have actually caught her staring murderously at our ponytails. I think it's hilarious. It's just hair, get over it. She can run, and fast - I saw her machine set to 9.5 mph at one point. That's what we're here for, not ponytail watching, but it's still funny to me.

Nella 02-19-2010 03:16 PM

FGG - You had me cracking up about the ponytails! Sounds like your running is going great!!

Jeri - WAHOO!!! Congrats on the weight loss! Boo for the ouchy back though.

Bigmid 02-19-2010 10:36 PM

Hi everyone, it's been so long since I have posted on here again. My computer (internet) has been so slow that it is almost painful to do anything. I am not very patient with slow stuff (technology stuff). I hope everyone has been doing great. I will make a promise to really make a better effort to get on here as you are all so inspirational.

I hope you have a great night.

nellonello 02-20-2010 10:27 AM

Looking forward to a great day! I told husband that we need to go on a hike today with the kids so I will out of the house (and the temptations) and getting exercise. Great combination. Still struggling with my weight loss this month.

NightAngel26 02-20-2010 10:44 AM

hmm...

Well, I'm a little nervous about my weight loss challenge now. I'm not any lower than I was... not higher... but not lower... bummer. So, officially 237 today. :( 7 lbs to go by end of Feb.
