Hi ladies,

Just needed to pop my head in and read the news. Love hearing all the triumphs (new clothes!!) and the hard spots everybody's working so hard to get through.

I'm in the midst of study madness with a test tomorrow, hence my MIA this week. Still been getting in my exercise and such so that's about all the time there is in a day around here. And it's beautiful outside, been running on my road all week, it's liberating. Oh and guess who's back to running over 3 miles a pop, oh ya, this girl is! Hip is feeling like it's brand new and to describe how much I missed running there isn't words, it's just perfection. Who knew? Former fat girl is pretty much a runner now, lol.

Well off to study some more, the March exercise thread is up and ready to go for those of you who dare, muhahaha. Have a great weekend ladies.

Well, I didn't make it to 246 by today like I was hoping - I'm actually UP to 247.4. I'm not really worried about it - Aunt Flo is here for a visit, and apparently she brought a lot of luggage :lol:. I'll just be looking forward to the whoosh on the other side. Have a good Saturday!

Hey there chicklets, this morning the scale the read 197.4 or something. Don't remember for sure since I ran from the room and promptly blocked it out ofmy mind. We went for a friend's sudden and important happy hour invitation and although I had plenty of calories to spare, I still went over by 300. We ended up going to eat sushi with abandon and I drank like fish (she said superfishally). Oh how I love sushi. It was soooo worth it! I'm still fantasizing about it.

TG: good luck on your test! I'll bet your joy of running outside is great mental preparation for your studying. Thanks for getting the March Challenge up!

Eclipse: I hope your whoosh is better than mine was--my monthly guest left all his baggage, and I haven't taken it to the post office yet...

Well weighing in ladies... gained a couple pounds... today 138.4. :( But I can honestly say I didn't try lost a lot of motivation this month but ready to start again. Sick for the past couple days but still done pretty good with my eating. March will be a better month!!

Hi, just a quick fly by to let you know that I finally saw a lower number on the scale this morning so I sure hope it holds for tomorrows weigh in. After I saw 201.6 I ran downstairs and stepped on the Wii.......I am no longer obese....yeah!!!!

OMG, That's GOT to be the best milestone ever! I'm so tired of hearing that freaking thinking call me obese! That's motivation itself for losing weight :lol:


Anyhow, I'm going to call yesterday's up weigh in a big, fat (obese?) FLUKE!!!! Because today I was back down. . .and down. . .all the way to 245.4 !!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot:

Soooooo. . . Total change from starting weight: -40.6 lbs! -14.2% total body weight! BMI change from 49.09 to 42.12!:carrot::carrot::carrot:

So, I figured that I wasn't going to make this month's weight goal with yesterday being 176.2 - no way I was losing 1.2 overnight. Yesterday the boyfriend wanted pizza for lunch. I thought as long as I kept the calories down I wouldn't worry much about the water weight from the sodium since I wasn't going to make it anyway. He's been sick (now I'm sick) and he was craving carbs, so I told him sure, we could go get pizza. Today I step on the scale expecting to be 178 or more from the sodium. I wasn't though. I got 175 even. I made goal - pizza, cold, and all, I made goal! Plus today hubby and I weigh exactly the same amount. :woohoo: And I've now lost 70 pounds! If I weren't so dang sick I'd want to go celebrate. That will have to wait until later in the week when I'm feeling better.

FGG: Rock on! That is awesome. Congratulations on the 70 pounds lost! I hope you're feeling better soon. I've got a little something that's dragging me down, but it won't manifest into any sort of full blown cold or flu. Ugh. Unfortunately the scale faerie isn't being as generous with me.

eclipse: Yay! Congrats on the 40 pound milestone. The motivation never stops--thank goodness, because my being stuck is driving me mad!

Bigmid: You must be 5'9" too--I was sooo happy to get out of the obese category and just be overweight. Almost in onederland... :D

The scale was back to 196.8 today, right where I was 10 days ago. argh. I guess I'm not taking into account the stress and grieving that's gotten me sick and is making me a little depressed. I know the mind body connection, and I'm trying to force it in one direction when it's telling me it needs something else. duh. Note to self: pay attention.

I'm going to see what tomorrow brings, and take advantage of the last day of the month, before I call my February goal a wash (I was shooting for 10 lbs., or 193). Tomorrow is another day and a new month, a longer month, so we get a few more days to make goal! ;)

I think my body is going for one last push. Stepped on the scale today and it said 217.2! Not the 215 I was going for, but you know what? Not bad at all! Plus, that's the lightest I've been in the past 2.5 years (highest weight in Oct. 2007: 257 meaning I've lost 40lbs. now)! :)

Hello everyone, I know I have been MIA for a few days but I have been busy with my youngest son, he had his first semi-formal dance and he has a girlfriend which totally shocked me since he is so shy. I have met her family and she is just adorable.

As for me as always my weightloss is very slow, guess that is just how my body is. But I must say I am making wonderful changes in our lives and I am feeling so much better. I just don't understand how I see so many people lose the weight so fast and I am lucky to get 2 maybe 3 lbs off in a month grrrr..... I did make it to goal but I am finally at 212 so I guess that is a plus I want to get out of the 200's so badly and it seems like it is a never ending cycle. I am going to try and up the exercising and see if that will help out wish me luck. I'll check in soon :)

Well I gained weight, but was off plan most of the month and didn't exercise much. I'm doing better with my plan and back to exercising. March will be a better month. I'm more motivated and determined to lose in March.

So, ladies...I'm about to go set up the March Weight Loss Thread, but I wanted to repost the goal list for Feb. in case anyone else wants to chime in with an update. I'm sure others made goal or at least made some nice progress in that direction, so let us know!! :D
As for me, it was a busy fun weekend, but I did take in a few too many calories, so who knows what the scale would tell me right now. I know I'm ready for a fresh new month and I have some real concrete things in mind for March. I hope it's a total turn around for me in terms of mindset and results!
