Well, I must say I came to tell you how my date went, but Delphi, I can't wait to see your first photo!! Where you started from. They are so motivational and inspirational to see!!
As for my date...it was AMAZING! It was really awkward at first. But by the end it was so weird since I felt like I had known him for a while. And omgoodness ladies....he opened all the doors, even the car door, for me. he walked up to the door with me and not only gave me a great hug but a kiss....well a few. There is definitely going to be a second date!
Just wanted to say hello.
Miss Mallee - that super awesome news about the date, and a gentleman, those aren't around so much anymore, I'm so happy for you
Delphi - I always wondered why you weren't claiming the whole loss you had, lol, but now you are so that's great, you deserve every ounce of credit for those.
Lazy around here too, two days without any exercise, oh ya, that's right, lol, bit of a food hangover yesterday, I saved calories and all but the type of food didn't seem to agree with me yesterday, lots of napping and going to bed early to process it all. But feeling much better today and going to try and do some STing this afternoon, only 3 days left until we leave for our week long trip home and I'm planning on looking extra gorgeous!
Hey all! I'm back from our (4th and) final Christmas celebration at my parents'. I didn't stuff myself, but I'm quite sure I found a couple pounds that I had lost. Things won't truly get back on track until Jan. 1, but at least the big meals are done and it's just all the leftover stuff sitting around. I am SO looking forward to getting back to my routine and dumping these unwanted pounds that have come back. Long-story short...I'm living a "normal" life now--I eat a little extra at the holidays and once my eating goes back to normal, so does my weight...ya know, like normal, healthy people. Isn't that cool?! No beating myself up for the indulgence, but awareness of the need to return to routine ASAP after the holidays. I am a bit zapped, too. I'm off to bed since tomorrow we finish painting at the house. This week the flooring should be going in!
Quick pop in today. Hope everyone had a nice holiday. We'll be on vacation next week, so I won't be around much. These last few weeks of December are nuts around here, lol.
I'm maintaining, so that's good. I'm looking forward to January and getting my act together again. My mom gave me her Polar HRM. It's one with the chest strap, but oh well, better than nothing right?
If I can, I'll pop in over the next few days, but if I don't make it, Have a Happy New Year everyone!!!!
It's been busy, but man am I ready to get to this January challenge. Who is gonna start the thread? I'm ready and got me some new workout duds as well and wouldn't you know it, my subscription service to my band is off again...it's so stoopid. I'm good until March of next year, but every three months I have to go through this bullshiznet. So I'll be with out my numbers for a week or so and then it's on. I'm only up a pound after the holidays so maybe by the first I can be back to 165. Regardless I'm ready and willing. I do hope you ladies are doing well.
Hello ladies just a quick run by hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season as for me as I am sure all of you life has been really busy. I have managed to only put on .5lbs through all the holiday eating so I am very happy with that and very anxious to get January off and running with the nutrionious coming on the 9th and the gym membership I am sure to do well.. Cya you ladies soon.
I'm about to head over and start January's thread. I've been away from the computer so much to spend the extra time with DH and the kids during the break from school. It's been fantastic, but not so good food-wise. The first week of 2010 will be like a detox week! LOL
Have a good night ladies! HUGE Congrats to those who've kept the gains minimal or actually, miraculously lost weight this past week!!!
MsP - Thanks for that thread, it helps to look forward before the New Years feasting is upon us. Hope you're having a blast painting, it's going to be move in time before you know it, how awesome.
Mystical - Glad you are enjoying an awesome Christmas, those jackets must have made the boys rather happy, they look awesome! Take care and can't wait till January.
Delphi - OMG, that's my new favorite word, bullshiznet, lol. Christmas bloat is crazy but the funny thing is now I can actually tell when I'm bloated b/c of food, remeber years before when we just added some pounds onto the ever expanding pile, didn't notice that as much as we do now. So what's new years got in store for you? We're going to be driving to welcome in the new year, oh yes, envy me, lol.
Nella - Have fun on vacation, I'll be doing the same thing, busy, busy. I have a Polar HRM with chest strap and they are tons more accurate than the ones without, unless you're spending north of 500.00 on one so you're probably good. I love mine!. Travel safe and we'll see ya in the New Year.
As for me, well I'm down to 133.8, I know, it between Christmas and New Years, who loses 1.5 lbs? Well I guess I do, hehe, it's the after Christmas bloat leaving and it took some weight with it. As long as I make tomorrow at or below 135 I've got my goal baby!
Last day to workout before leaving tomorrow, so little dd and I are going to head to the office and workout on the treadmill, get some groceries and mail and all that jazz. We also have a new officier starting today and the RCMP tradition is to have him over for dinner since we are now the second newest people in town. Any other night would be fine but I've been systematically cleaning out the fridge to make sure we don't waste anything when we leave tomorrow so it's very Mother Hubardy around here, frozen pizza it is! He's a 25 year old bachelor so I bet I could feed him PB & J and he'd think I was a culinary godess so at least that's something. I'll take Delphi a picture if he's cute, you aren't opposed to moving to the frigid north for a good man are ya?
Enough blabbering from me, got to get this party started. I'll check in tomorrow before I leave TTFN
Well, chickies, I am totally disgusted with myself. After declining to take part in our monthly (sometimes twice monthly) potlucks, I thought I would partake in the Christmas potluck on December 21st. I have been eating ever since. I made candy this year, too. Truffles, almond roca, peppermint bark, fudge of course, my brother brought more chocolate, and SANDYE sent home made biscotti, candied nuts, and chocolate dipped pretzels!!! Not only that, I am eating large portions of dinner-who wants a salad when it's freezing? Not me. I need to snap out of this, and quick. I need rolling pins, now! Those of you who maintained or even lost this month have my admiration. I have had no junk today, and even walked four miles today. Why wait until the new year? I hope you all have a nice New Year's eve/day. My Ducks are in the Rose Bowl!
Tummy ~Have a safe trip. Can't wait to hear how your family reacts to the new tiny you!
Hey all! Finishing this year strong hasn't quite worked for me. I've managed to weigh roughly the same as I did at the beginning of the month. It varies daily since one day is good, the next...not so much. Anyway, I feel pretty good to come away from the very foody holidays without a major gain.
I finished the inside painting in our house. Lots of wonderful color in there now. Tomorrow the vinyl floors go in. It got delivered today, so the rolls were laying on the floor while I painted. I wanted to peek, but decided I'll just go the next time I'm in the area and see it all installed and beautiful! I think after the new year, things will start to move quickly on the house...cabinets, interior doors, trim, etc. I can't wait!!
LTTG I hear ya..I ready to get at it and like now. I came back so I hope to see you stick around for the January challenge. I just want to say thanks to. Your messages here nor there kept me focused and brought me back to 3fc after my hiatus. So big hugs darling and thank you so very much.
I want pictures tummy and hey, I'm totally good with moving, especially for a man with a gun. Hahaha! You guys be safe with all that driving and hurry back.
MsP sounds like you are just a busy bee, but hopefully all that will be over soon and you guys can just relax and enjoy the new house.
Missmalle...so good to hear the date was a success and thanks for the details, we love those details around these parts. Anywho, here's to many more happy and hot dates.
Well as for me, I just finished up Mass Effect for a review I was doing so maybe I'll actually get to move away from the couch and get something done. It's almost time for the new challenge and I'm stoked...got microsoft points on the line for my other challenge with the guys, so I gotta buckle down and get-r-done.
Just checkin' in and obviously talking to myself again. Anyways, I am up a whopping four pounds this morning. Sheesh, I have no clue whats going on. I'm sure it has something to do with water weight, but sheesh it's still scary to see a jump like that. Well heres to hoping I can cleanse the system today and flush it out before we start our next challenge.
You're not talking to yourself Delphi, lol, maybe juat a little He was cute bbut 5'10" so a bit shorter than you. Very well spoken, good manners and good with my dd who was trying to get his attention for hours. Just some weird hair but I can fix that. I hate those weight bumps, mine does some weird things now too that it never did before. I can pretty easily bounce a pound or two when my eatings been great when I was heavier it never happened. Bit freaky but it always evens out I guess. We'll try and be safe as we can, luckily I'm wide awake in the morning and dh is a night owl so we compliment each other driving well.
MsP - Congrats on the painting, must feel great to strike that off the list. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, wow, that's fantastic. Maintaining through Christmas is a hard enough task for sure but think of all the years we packed on the pounds with no regard for anything. That makes me happy that at the very least we did better than that.
LTTG - Isn't it crazy how one thing just snowballs into another and another and then all of a sudden you're eating everything? I wonder why our brains do that, I can never figure it out. But it certainly is a journey and great job on the exercise too. Thanks, it's going to be interesting seeing everyone, my head's not going to fit in the door when I get home.
Sandye - Your mom totally called you out, get back here hun, we're waiting!!
Just going to go finish breakfast and then resume packing. We're heading out at 6 tonight so at least I have some time to get everything together.
Oh and I'm still under 135 so that's goal!! Yipee.
Thank you all. I am very happy to say I have a second date on the 8th. And I am even happier to say that yesterday I weighed in at 203.5. Today I was up a little, but we had Wendy's for lunch so it's all the sodium. I am actually about to go for a walk and then some yoga/pilates.
Hey ladies! I am still up 2+ pounds from my low this month, but under 135 which is where I began the month. All in all, fairly successful trip through the holiday food and family fest. I updated my ticker to reflect correct weight and everything...full disclosure.
Today the kids had their first routine physical with their new pediatrician. He was really nice and it went well. The floors didn't happen at the house. I think we're on hold until next week due to the holiday. Not much else to report here. I'll be gone from tomorrow mid-morning 'til late afternoon on new years day. After that, (probably on the 2nd) I'll start working on the January "List" so we can see everyone's goals. By then most people will have signed up so I won't have as much editing as if I posted it now. Have a wonderful and safe time ringing in the New Year!
