Burgundy- It's really hard this time of the year, but work as hard as you can to stay on point to get out of the two hundreds! You'll never want to look back when you do =)
Staccie- A rat at the gym? Now see... that's crazy! lol Though rodents don't scare me I would have to say that I would have been surprised and startled. Hope that today is a better one for you.
Rocky- You are doing awesome, don't let 50 calories beat you up. You're going to do amazing and have a fantastic time shopping for dresses- I will be doing the same thing probably between September and October. Hope to be at goal or exceed it by then! That leaves me, what, 9-10 months to lose another 20+. **** yes! Oh and as far as yoga... I have the Biggest Loser weight loss yoga- it's challenging but awesome. I actually liked doing it a lot. If you don't want to go and buy it could probably send it to you?
Dance- That's awesome. People expect that from me now when people come over or when I go over to someone's house that I always bring something healthy to eat with dinner and eat a smaller portion of the unhealthy food. How did you do with the pizza? Having the fiance's family over tomorrow with lots of delicious unhealthiness... brownies, cookies, cheese and crackers.... moderation, moderation! We're having a shrimp ring and I think I'm going to pick up some veggies for a tray and some fresh fruit so that I can stay on point.
AJ- Hope that you start feeling better soon, hun! Toothaches and dentists are no fun at all. Hope that things get better and you have a much better day today and this weekend... especially before the holiday.
And on an EXTREMELY high point I have an announcement to make. I weighed in this morning at 159.4! That's crazy! I need to maintain this... lose .4 lbs by Christmas and I've reached my Christmas goal. I don't know if it's the slight change in my foods or just kickin *** in the gym but the weight is steadily falling off and I'm so excited. So, from last week that's a 2.8 pound lost. Very excited! Work then off to the gym (my second home) for some cardio, personal training with Janine for 30 minutes, and then maybe Irene's spin class- love it! Talk to you ladies soon and have a beautiful Friday!
GREAT NEWS! I weighed in at 239.8 pounds today, meaning I've lost 1lb from Monday-Thursday, so just gotta lose another 1lb from Friday-Sunday! But I can now officially have my 10lbs lost avatar! Woohoo!!!
Hope Falls, Thanks for the tip on the DVD! You can totally lose 20lbs by the fall! I'm trying to lose 100lbs by the end of October! To make that goal I have to hit 2lbs a week the whole time! So it will be a hard 9 or 10 months! We can make it! When is your wedding? Congrats on a 2.8lb loss in a week! That is so awesome!!!
rocky - congrats on the 10lbs lost! Seriously impressive when you consider the time of year!
kitty - love the new pic - blonde suits you!
All is good here - new countertops are in and gorgeous and had a great time with the girls. And I've lost a pound according to my new scale (not quite at ticker still.
Morning girls---wow, everyone is losing today...its a great day! Today is the holiday pot luck Christmas party at work and I have no plans to stay on track...I know...I know...thats bad. But I love trying other peoples food and this is a once a year thing. I hopped on the scale this morning and no loss but no gain---ILL TAKE IT! I also skipped the gym, YET AGAIN because I didnt get to bed until 2 am (I was on a super fun date). Well, the weather today is cold, rainy and just plain blah. Tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous and cool, I MIGHT go to Universal Studios, my friend asked if I wanted to go with him but I have to see if I can get someone to watch Gab for the whole day.
Dance- thanks as always for keeping me accountable, I think once Christmas passes, I will go full force. Plus I have a tight bday goal of 10 pounds, time to get to it.
I am on the backend of whatever bug I have I think but am still medicating myself to the hilt. So this has been a total write off of a week because I can't exercise. Last night I was mad at the dog for tearing something up while hubby and I were each gone. As a result I ended up eating my frustration out. Not the smartest move given that I am already a slug right now.
Being sick during the holidays always sucks.
I hope everyone has a good day. I will post personals when I am back into the swing of things.
Lindy - we'll let you off the hook for today as a great date is a pretty good excuse. And I'm just going to take a wild guess that you were too distracted by your cute date to eat too much! But I'm expecting to see you report on a serious workout before the weekend's over...
popcorn - hope you start feeling better soon - that's such a bummer. And recognizing issues are always a good step towards solving them - when you're feeling healthy, you'll channel that frustration towards something more productive I bet the next time!
Even small progress is always such a motivator for me - with just this pound gone, I'm all jazzed thinking about trying to lose another one by christmas. We'll see how it goes!
Okay, anyone got any motivational thoughts to keep us inspired and able to resist the oh-so-many temptations this time of year?
One NSV type thing for me - I've skipped a bunch of reunions in recent years because I didn't feel great about myself and I didn't want people who had known me when I was thin to see me heavier. I've just committed to a grad school reunion in May and am hoping to be at the same weight for the reunion that I was when I graduated. Or at least close!
Dance- agreed! If I go to Universal tomorrow thats a workout in its own, all that walking! But I plan on getting some gym time in tomorrow morning. I usually dont go to the gym but I need to make an exception for my slacking. Hmmmm....motivation...oh, speaking on that note---let me tell you what happened at my holiday party. Every year they go around and take everyones pics and put them in a PowerPoint presentation to play throughout the meal, well...the comparison from last year is insane! I look like a completely different person. Ive attached the pics for you guys to check out.
Rocky- details...details...haha, I actually date a lot these days but there is one guy (who AJ despises, lol) but to my own fault bc Ive told her so many bad stories but its this guy Kyle. Kyle is definately no good for me but I cant help but gravitate to him, maybe its the challenge. Anyway, we have so much fun together, we could be watching paint dry and have fun together. The only thing is, hes not the type of guy who wants to settle down so while Im dating the other guys and trying to find a good one, he occupies my time. Well, last night we went to see the movie 2012, grabbed some din-din and then went back to his place and watched Jersey Shore (I know...bad tv at his finest, lol) but we have so much in common that we goof off constantly-which makes for good company.
Lindy- I used to date a lot before meeting my fiance. I had a blast! Cause even those horrible dates just made really funny stories to laugh about with my girlfriends!
Sounds like you had a great evening! Guilty pleasure tv is the best!
As long as you two are on the same page with the relationship then it works... you guys are just having fun. Just be sure you are on the same page. Before moving to Denver I had one guy who we both said we were just having fun together profess his love to me crying in my apartment. I honestly didn't feel the same way, I still feel guilty that even though we said we were on the same page... he had different feelings...
Rocky- thanks... Trust me, with Kyle...there is no attachment, sometimes he leaves me guessing, lol. Its ok though, just enjoying the ride - thanks for sharing the story, Ive had several similar situations with other guys I dated. I just separated from my husband at the beginning of this year so Im just enjoying dating...so far, so good. haha
lindy - omg! what a difference! I'm so impressed with the change! And you're letting your hair grow out - I love it! It seems like guys often like long hair - may as well work every angle you can when you're out there dating!
just got back from our holiday lunch and did pretty well (salad, broiled salmon, a few bites of mashed potatoes, mixed berries for dessert). We're planning on a walk to sushi tonight so should be an on plan day. You guys have me all inspired - can't wait to make some more progress!
Thanks Dance- I totally agree with that comment, Ive had guys tell me over and over how much they love my hair, lol...its so weird but hey...it works. Haha WOW---you did 10x better than me on the food front, Im STILL full from lunch today, geez. Depending how Gab is feeling tomorrow, I still dont know about Universal, she came home feeling under the weather...GREAT! <sarcastic>
