Hey girls! Just a quick hello before my workout. Had a fun weekend, had a quick love affair with some carrot cake (I'll fill y'all in later ) and got out yesterday for some girl time with my mom & sissy and did a little shoppin'!

I can't wait to catch up and jump back in girls! I'm beat as all get out and not feeling as motivated as some (ahem, Delphi)--see, that's what happens when I can't chat with you girls daily!

Okay, enough sitting around--my weights are calling me!!! Be back later!!

Well, ladies, those of you who told me not to fret about the 3 lb gain yesterday morning were right! (You're so smart!) I am back down to 182 this morning. I would just love, love, love to drop another lb before July to add another cheerleader to my signature, or another 2 lbs to meet my next mini goal, or by some miracle another 3 lbs to hit a new decade! But believe me, I am just happy with the 5 lbs I took off this month and that I am not actually 3 lbs up from that!

Lene, I receive a Jillian Michaels newsletter and here is what she said about those last few lbs:

How to Take Off Those Last 10 Pounds
You know what I like to call those last 10 or 15 pounds that won't come off no matter what you do? Vanity pounds.

The term describes our desire to lose weight that, as far as our bodies are concerned, actually feels healthy. Today's society pressures us to want to look a certain way, so for aesthetic reasons we try to be thinner than our bodies want us to be. Personally, I have gained and lost the same 8 vanity pounds more times than I care to admit.

Losing your first 50 pounds might have been tough, but believe me, dropping those final few stubborn pounds is a whole different challenge. The body struggles to hold on to that last bit of fat for survival purposes.

Now, don't get me wrong — you can lose the weight if you want to, but it will require you to muster a tremendous amount of restraint and willpower. If you're really up for it, do the following for 30 days:

1. Cut your sodium to 1,000 mg a day.
2. Drink at least 80 ounces of water daily.
3. Cut out processed foods.
4. Abstain from alcohol.
5. Train at 85 percent of your MHR (maximum heart rate) for 1 hour 5 times a week.

You can do a lot in 30 days — in fact, I can pretty much guarantee you will lose at least 5 pounds. And you'll feel like a rock star!

Shari, I swear that dressing room mirrors are made out of a substance just slightly different than home mirrors, lol! I hate dressing room mirrors! I cannot figure out why I always look heavier in them than I do in the ones at home! You'd think they come up with ones that make you look slightly thinner so that the clothes would look better on you and you'd want to buy them, lol! Someone could make a lot of money marketing a mirror like that to clothing stores! I hope you get the bike you want!

Velveteen, congrats on fitting into the goal swimsuit you bought last year! Woohoo!

Blondie, good luck at your new job!!

Ms_P, congrats on being so close to goal!! You can do it!!

CMof4!!! Glad you're back and that you had a good time!!

Good morning Joci, Delphi, and the rest of our ladies!! I hope you all have a great day!

Alright, I'm back.

Finished my strength training and it actually felt really good this early in the morning. FSA where are you chicky, I need to get my goals set in stone for July. Gotta get myself all pumped up.

Sandye ~ Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! We need you, just as much as you need us. Your love affair missy should be with those weights...now chop chop and get er' done. Can't wait to hear your news though, I missed ya dearly.

Susie ~ Hey you

Jacque ~ Are you really planning on getting into those 120's? Well if so, we are here for ya.

Lene ~ and and on dropping that pound dear. I've read a lot of things in the maintainers forum about how their bodies chose their maintenance weight. Do you think maybe that is where you are or do you simply WANT to lose more weight? Seems to me you are doing an excellent job maintaining. Do you think you can maintain on a lower calorie intake or perhaps increase exercise and actually maintain it? I guess these are the questions you need to ask yourself. Because you don't want to bust your rump to get to a lower weight and not be able to maintain it. So what do you think?

Velveteen ~ Sorry I passed my water retention on to you. Ok, bare with me for a minute. I got rid of mine by actually decreasing my water intake for a few days. I know that sound counter productive, but it worked for me. I was still getting enough but not as much, then after three days I up'ed my intake again. You hang in there, you have come so far. I am quite proud of you!

Glutio ~ Good luck with the weigh in!

jasonslea ~ Hey any day without binging is a successful day indeed. I'm sending ya some .

Urockmom where are ya girly, we miss you!

Jacqui ~ Well see, I'm not as dumb as I look. Great job dear. Here's wishing you another pound before July! You can do it!!!

And for the rest of you challenge chicks, we are in the final two days. Let's get those butt's in gear.

Alright ladies, I need you guys to push me this month. I have 17 days to lose five pounds to have MET GOAL and reached Onederland by my birthday. Time to crack those whips ladies, I NEED ONEDERLAND!

CMof4, I just realized that you met one of your goals a long time ago and I never changed it! I am SO sorry! If that ever happens again, please just tell me specifically to change it! I know I've told you congrats for losing the weight, but now let me tell you CONGRATS on making your goal!!!

Ladies, if you make goal, I definitely want you to get credit for it! Sometimes I lose track with all the weight loss going on and all the other information going around, but we all want to see your met goals changed to red!! The more red the better! Woohoo! Usually all you have to do is mention the word goal and I'll see it, but if for some reason I miss it, please do specifically tell me to change it! You've worked hard for those goals and you deserve to have them marked as MET on the list!!!

Wow on those losing 10-14 lbs this month...that's a lot!
Wow to those reaching goals of all kinds here! Those can be just as hard or harder!
You all continue to inspire me to move forward and make good choices! Thank you!!!
Okay, well, I'm still sitting at a half pound 'til goal. This is like a bad record that keeps skipping EVERY month! What the heck!? Oh well, I got in a good workout this a.m. and will eat POP today and it MUST leave!!! I'm sure stupid pre-TOM is slowing me down a bit, but I am fighting for it anyway. I have settled on a couple good goals for July for both weight loss and exercise, so I'm getting into the July mindset now. It's my birthday month which means I may set some special goal for that also. We'll see.

Okay ladies--I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaack!

I'm going to have to do just a couple personals and a blanket congrats because I got a late start this morning...

Delphi~ holy crow, your ex-bf needs a life! What a jerk to stir up stuff and call the cops--geez! Hun, you WILL make it to Onederland by your Birthday! If I have to every single day!

Jacqui~ hurray for getting rid of those lbs!! Woo hoo! I'm totally pullin' for you getting rid of one more pound by July! I want the same thing so we can cheer each other on! And don't fret about the goal thing--I was going to PM you today because I totally forget to tell you I made my weight goal.

To the ladies who've lost--you're doing awesome!! I am always amazed at the will power and strength you all have! You're such an inspiration! So to you all and

So, it was a fun week with my mom & sissy and I'm so sad that they're gone. My mom worked out every day but Sunday (she joined me in a scheduled day off) and ate 5-6 times a day too--something that she has a really hard time with. It was fun having a workout partner and someone else with the same eating goals as me for a change (can you tell hubby's not on board yet?). I tried a new recipe on Sunday that called for tomatoes and I actually ATE them! (I usually only tolerate tomatoes in pasta sauce or salsa!)

I ate POP every day but Saturday--we all went out to eat at a fantastic pizza & pasta place. I had planned for that when I set my June goals and started the day OP with the intent of making good choices at the restaurant and endulging in some carrot cake that my fil made for my sister. I did well at the restaurant--eating the healthiest thing I could find on the menu at a pizza place -- chicken stirfry pasta. I ate only half and took the rest home. I ordered a side salad thinking it would be healthy, but it was covered in cheese! So good, but not so good for the diet. Came home and eyed that cake. There were 10 people there and I didn't want to be dealing with the temptation of leftovers. So, I did what any rational person would do. I cut the cake into 8 pieces, split one between the girls and doled the rest out. My fil can't have much (he's diabetic) so he and my mil shared and the rest of us ate our gianourmously HUGE pieces of cake until there was nothing left to tempt us! It was sooo good! A pre-planned gluttony if you will It left us all over full and groaning, but it was worth it! Also, it solidified my eating goals. After that I knew I couldn't keep that sort of thing up, so it was right back to eating POP the next day.

Sunday was my WI and I was elated to find that after being stagnant all week I was suddenly down to 161!! However, this morning I'm up to 161.6 so I dunno...maybe Delphi's water retention has reached me too. I also lost more inches! I'm down another 3.25" and once again I saw a loss in my calves! Nada in my arms though So that brings my total inches lost to 42.5!!!

Okay girls, well, I'm rambling. I hope you're all having a fantastic day and that you get your workouts in, stay POP and have FUN! And of course, I hope you...

Drink Your Water!!!!!

Janis, CONGRATS on meeting and exceeding goal!!!

CMof4, CONGRATS on meeting goal with those inches too!!

Delphi, sounds good to me!

Ms_P, you might want to try some cups of green tea to see if you can shake that water weight. It might not work because of pre-TOM, but it might! That's the thing I did differently yesterday. I had stopped drinking green tea because I drink it hot and it's just been too hot and humid here to even think about drinking hot tea. But yesterday after being alarmed at seeing an extra 3 lbs on the scale, I made cups of green tea and then let them cool to room temp and drank them, and after a few trips to the bathroom last night, today that water weight was gone! If you like green tea, it might be worth a try!

Thanks for the advise, Jacqui. I don't often drink tea unless I have a sore throat or something, but I could sure try it. I'm not good about drinking it plain though. That'll be the challenge for me! I like some honey in my (balck) tea or drinking chai or apple cinnamon floavored tea. I do need to run to the store today. Any particular type you recommend? I live in a very small town, so options may be limited.

CMof4-YUM! I LOVE carrot cake! I hope you enjoyed your indulgence and are ready to work it off! You and I are pretty much always within a half pound of each other. I should make a July goal to stay ahead of you!! LOL J/K That would keep me on my toes, though.

Ms_P, I recommend Celestial Seasonings Honey Lemon Ginseng Green Tea. If they don't have that, the type I'm not real crazy about is Lipton, but if that is your only choice, just add a couple of drops of lemon juice to take the bitter taste out. I'm not a huge fan of Twinings either but that may be because it never turns brown. It just turns kind of yellow and I don't think I can get past that. It just seems weak to me and I'm not crazy about the flavor. I've ended up adding black tea to it! Also, I don't like plain tea either and I'm not a fan of artificial sweetners, so I drink mine with sugar. It hasn't had any negative effects, so I would think adding honey would be just fine!
