  • Happy Thursday Ladies.

Delphi - You're and taking names chickie, awesome! Congrats on that very hard earned pound. Five days, don't think you're gonna need it but it's nice to have room to get over goal. Proud of you! I know about the maintenance thing, it seems crazy but for the first time I'm actually researching nutrtion and more intense workouts that I want to do when I'm more fit, like honestly, that's insane. It will be interesting to see what goal looks like, I don't have a frame of reference for it right now, the thinnest I've ever been as an adult is 167 and that's a 10-12 for me. Even though you've been 150 before I beatca you'll be a lot more fit this time so you'll probably be smaller, can't wait, what fun, it's like opening a present!

CMo4 - Hey chickie, miss you tons too! I will send vibes for 161, did it for Glutio and it worked awesome so we'll try with you too. If you get out there gardening you'll sweat that pound off no problem! Have fun with mom and sis and we'll talk to you soon!

Crystal - Oh MILs, good for you though, and if you have to over eat something than let it be green beans! Just think a little while ago that would have ended very differently, good for you! And congrats on the loss too, it all adds up! And don't forget to workout, sooner than later so nothing gets in the way, you can do it!

Soooo, another 1.2 gone today, this has been a banner week for weight loss wow! My little scale was sitting innocently at 200.2 this morning, I mean honestly, I'm sure that 0.3 pounds could just get up and walk away if I thought about it hard enough. Regarless, that's 0.3lbs away from goal and if I don't see it tomorrow I'm going to count a victory anyway.

Today will be a challenge but I'm up for it. I've gotta get in my HIIT in (week 2 omg!, nevermind CMo4's week 4!) Shower, get beautiful, go to a family picnic for dh's work, (Delphi, you're invited if you want to come oggle some fine men in uniform, there's gonna be like 15 of them!) That won't be hard eating wise, I just eat first and drink water while I'm there, that always works well. Then somewhere this afternoon I need to find time to finish this stinking lawn, maybe 2 hours left, make dinner, and get in my second workout. So bring it on! and have an awesome day chickies.
  • It's Thursday, which means 2nd weigh of the week ... and ... no loss still sitting at 196lbs. However, I am actually pretty happy with this result because the past few Thursday weigh in I have been going up so maybe I will actually see a drop after the weekend, which is usually where I see most of the weight come off.

Keeping my fingers crossed to drop down to 195lbs after the weekend!
  • Delphi, hubby is prison, lol!! Wow, that guy must really be smitten with you! No doubt you must be looking hot-hot-smokin' hot!!! We already know that you are beautiful!! The thing that gets me is that the guy asked if he could stop by and I assume you made some excuse for why he couldn't, so I'm very surprised that he did anyway! I agree with some of the others that he may be an absolutely great guy (and it helps that he's a hottie), but I would be uncomfortable too because he's coming on too strong. He obviously has confidence, and to come right over and help you with the pool was a very nice gesture, very Southern gentlemanly. I like that. However, to ask you to come to church with him that very night was a little quick for what seemed to be a "first date" invitation. It would have been different if he had just invited you to come to the church in general. And then to ask if he could stop by that very night upon having just met you was very forward. And then he did stop by! Now, he is either a genuinely nice guy who is just really smitten and/or he is a confident charmer who has no qualms about moving quickly with women, or that church is just a little too aggressive in recruiting new members! However, it really would not be fair to judge him based on the way other guys from your past have reacted to your son. This is a Christian guy who may really love children and would simply see Canaan as one of God's precious children. It's impossible to know right now. But I definitely think he is moving too quickly. He needs to take a step back and just let you get to know him as an acquaintance. He's just kind of skipping that part! And for someone who has not had good experiences with men in the last few years, you definitely do not need to feel pressured into a friendship so quickly with a man you just met! I don't think I would snub him, because he might actually be worth getting to know, just as a friend, but I'd definitely let him know that I felt bombarded by his sudden attention and would feel more comfortable if he would slow down. Anyway, that's my 2 cents! More importantly, on losing another lb!!!

CMof4, we miss you too girl!! Great job staying OP! Keep it up! Here are some weight loss : for you!!

Lauren, good for you with that positive attitude! I'm sending you some weight loss : too!

T_Girl, congrats on the 1.2 lbs down!! Woohoo on the panties!! You have been having a great week!

Crystal, yay on the .2 down! Hopefully after TOM leaves, it will be even more!

Well, TOM came to visit today, finally. Hopefully, he will leave just in time for the July challenge and I'll get off to a great start!
  • Jacqui D

Thanks for the : I know they will help!
  • I did the workout and actually feel better TOM wise. It was annoying though because I am doing the cool down and MIL comes out and is like "What are you doing?!" almost irritated.. I was like "Just finishing up my morning workout, give me 3 minutes" But hten continues to stare at me. It was so awkward. But anyway, I did it and am proud of myself. I am have meals planned out along with snacks for the middle of the day for when we go out shopping for house fixing up materials. I feel prepared and I love it. I enjoy how exercise changes my frame of mind . Thanks for all your support ladies.
  • Morning!

How are all my girls doing today?? I didn't sleep enough last night and that usually means I get silly, so please bear with me if I do

Lene: What kind of monitor do you use? Is it one of those fancy ones like Delphi's? I've looked into them a little bit, but it irks me that on top of paying all that money for the actual device, you have to pay for a subscription to their website just to get your own data Grrr!

Tummy: Lol @ the naked thing. I think my DH would spend the whole day grabbing and not just staring You are so close to your goal, congratulations

Delphi: WTG on the pound girly! I am so in awe of you and your effort . You know, I was thinking about your new stalker dude after something Jacqui just said, and I got to thinking: what if he just wants to "recruit" you for the church? I don't know what kind of church it is that you live next to, but I think that would be even creepier.

Jacqui: That was an awesome deal on the elliptical! Now you have no excuses

CMo4: Hi! Glad to hear you are having a good time with your family. Don't fret over the weight for now, just enjoy!

Gekster: Good for you for getting your workout in and ignoring the nosy MIL. Maybe she was just curious?

We went to see the house last night and DH at least didn't hate it. He is giving me mixed signals but I didn't want to push with this one (at least not yet). With the last one he made me feel like I was pressuring him into making an offer so I am letting him process it all by himself this time. Unfortunately he is crazy busy at work right now and he actually had to go back to the office to grab some work after the viewing the place and was here working until 1AM. That means we had not real chance to talk about anything very much . Hopefully tonight he'll get home at a decent time and we'll talk then.

I am debating over making today my rest day or doing something. The Active Challenge ended yesterday and I am on my own for the rest of the month. I am on my 2nd cup of coffee right now and I guess I will see how I feel in a little bit.

    See you all soon!
  • Hi girlsssssssssss

Just read all of your news....hope your all having a good day. I don't hav3e much time but wanted to come in and say hi and hopefully can catch up with personals later.

Tummygirl, have a great time on your vaca . Leneeeeeeee, no not yet and that is where I have to head today. wtg on the workout and with TOM and all Crazymama, where are you my dear? Miss you too girl. A big hi and hug to all.

Delphiii, congrats on another lb. lost!!!!!!!!

Delphiiiiiii, I got it and I meant to respond yesterday, ty so much I wanted to put my 2 cents in about the guy too, lol. I can absolutely see how you were uncomfortable when the guy came up to you at your house, I would of been too. Also, I can't help but wonder if he askedddddd the pastor about you....afterall you came into the conversation somehow and he may of very well asked. Ah, call me paranoid.....or traditional or whatever the case may be........but I'm glaaaaaaaad you did not answer the door! I would be petrified to let a stranger into my house, absolutely not. I kn ow he asked if he could come by later. ANyhow, he may of not been looking to come in but asked for.........other ways to contact you. Nah.... I agree with jacqui on it being forward. Perhaps slipping you a little note in the box and asking you out for coffee or something of that nature would be much less threatening and appropriate. Maybe you will run into him outside again and you know....if he asks you again if he can by or stop over you could just lay the cards right on the table and say well ty but I don't feel comfortable with having you over in the house as I don't know you or something along those line. Something seems strange to me, he's either extremely eager or not very traditional in his approach. ANyhow, follow your instincts and keep us posted.

I better get going. Ohhhhhhhhh, DH is taking tomorrow off and monday off to make a long weekend so I am real happy. He usually takes a week or two off in June but hasn't because he is so busy at work and getting ready for the project shipping in JUly. We are going to dinner with my parents tonight anddddddd the sun is due to come out this afternoon. Talk soon ladies..........it's so nice to be here with you all, I just love our group ciao for now. Glutioooo, I hope you feel better today girl. A big hi to all o fyou, have a great day. Gekster, good for you sweety! wtg on your exercise, you keep doing your thing, your doing great! Jacqui, yay on TOM arriving so you can get it out of the way, have a great day chicky : ).
  • Ok...I just saw that my post above is all jumbled...I will just fix it and ignore this one..told you I got silly when I didn't sleep well LOL
  • Hi newshinyme aw you......hug. Hope you get to talk tonight. Keep on shining girl, hope you get a second wind and either way you lay out the day hope it's a great one for you.

  • Thanks FSA!

Hope you have an awesome day too and enjoy the days with your hubby in case you don't make it back in here
  • Alright ladies, enough is enough. Sooo, the boys and I have been out all morning. Well guess who shows up over at the church to mow the grass. Yup, you guessed it....creepy dude. This time, he strolls over, mentioned he had shown up last night, blah blah blah, then asked if I had a phone. Sure do, I reply, but I don't think my boyfriend would like me giving out. Oooooooooo he says. He stands around. Just standing there. Awkward..and then he tells me to have a nice day. Peace out creepy dude! Soooo, let's hope he got the picture.

Thanks for all the great advice ladies. It's nice to have people to discuss these things with. I'm kinda secluded in my home and my grandmother is probably the only person I really see and talk to. So thanks a bunch girls. Love ya'll! 's!

Gekster ~ I'm so proud of you sticking with this. Your staying OP, getting that exercise in and you are doing all the right things. dear. You're a champ!

    NSM
~ Well hopefully when you guys talk about it, he might feel a little better about the house, now that he has had time to ponder on it a bit. I'm really hopeful you guys find something you like soon. I hate feeling like I'm in limbo like that.

Jacqui ~ Yup, my thoughts exactly. It's one thing to say hi, maybe I'll see ya around, or ask about a lunch or something. It's another when it was handled in the manner it was. Just plain ol' creepy to me. Anywho, best of luck with TOM and on that postive attitude of yours.

Lauren ~ Good luck over the weekend. I do hope you lose something.

Tummy ~ Take me with you for crying out loud. I'm begging you. Oh my, probably not a good idea. I'd probably make a pass at someone and end up in jail..or even better in handcuff's. Have fun dear!

Sandye ~ and good for you being POP! You're my hero!

FSA ~ I sent ya an email, let me know if I sent it to the right address. have yourself a groovy day princess.

Alright ladies, we came in for a bit to cool off, but now I gotta get to my Strength Training. Talk to you gal's soon.

  • So here's my last post for awhile,

LaurenA - Glad the weight news is good hun, I'll keep my fingers crossed and send you some good

Jacqui - that's what I thought about TOM too, get him over with early and now I'm sure I'm going hit twice in one month, isn't that like lightening stricking twice?

Crystal - super proud of you chickie and with ppl watching even, awkward!

NSM - you know I think you're right there would be a lot of grabbing and if I was him I would just have to figure out how the heck I could even walk. I hope you guys can agree on the house, it sure makes life easier, good luck!

FSA - Have fun with hubby I know i'm going to enjoy mine for a couple of days too, and sun, who heard of that this year, go get it before it's gone!

Delphi - It was all kind of a bust so you didn't miss much, all the guys had to go out on a big domestic call, it sounded kinda scary some guy threatening his wife with a gun (all turned out ok tho) so it was just all us ladies and kids hanging out and shooting the breeze, not at all familiar with that. Oh and I forgot earlier to mention that in my previous life before SAHM I was a social worker for special needs kids/adults and I can't tell you how many parents I met that found amazing (2nd) spouses who were very accepting of some very challenging situations and walked in with their eyes open and didn't care. Those are the only ones worth anything anyway. And good for you, he freaked me out just reading that.

The busy day is finally ending, the packing is done, the car is ready to go, and I managed to get in that second workout which was great. We're off at 6am, so I actually have to get up at Delphi o'clock to fit in my run and then we're off. I don't think I'll have time to check in tomorrow so I wanted to just stay ta ta for now and I look forward to everyone rockin' out their June goals!
  • Well, I caught up on my reading tonight! Lots of interesting stuff going on with you ladies!!!

Crystal- Good for you staying OP and doing the right stuff even when you ILs make it awkward!

Delphi- Glad you had some resolution to your weird guy situation. You're doing great with the losses, BTW!

The trip was great and couldn't have gone much better. The kids got a little crabby on us at the end which was to be expected. You know, sleep deprivation/over stimulation can be a bear. I'm glad to be back home but it's still in the 90's here and I'm a sweat-er!! Those outdoor walks/runs certainly challenge the abilities of my deoderant/anti-perspirant!!! LOL
Well, I hope the scale smiles on me in the morning for behaving on the trip. I'll let ya'll know!
