Hi girls, checking in before hitting the shower. The day flew, I just had so many chores and still plenty to do. Took care of the flowers on deck but didn't even get to the weeding again yet.

Delphi, hi there girl. I always feel like that pre TOM, my legs ache (on top of other things) and I find it difficult to walk and or do stairs. You been busy girl, maybe you just need to rest! Aside from TOM, your bod may just be signaling you to rest it up a bit. Hope you feel better Delphi That's a great idea curling up with your 2 yr. old OH, regarding the beach...you caught me! So that was you I saw hiding behind that dune spying on me! lolol feel better girl , hug.

Hi SusyQ, As I'm sure you know we are all different but with me, I can lose weight without exercising but not the other way around. If I were to exercise but was not on plan, I wont lose. SOunds like your doing great on getting more activity , doing stairs, etc. Good for you !
As for the eating plan, are you on a specific plan or doing your own? I pretty much always did my own except when first starting out again, I really needed the discipline of a plan to help me get going because I was having trouble starting. Whatever works best for each of us. Sometimes a specific diet or plan can be extremely helpful for many, especially when first starting out.

I hope your sleeping better. I sometimes have difficulty sleeping early as well and it really is hard if staying up late so as not to get hungry again. I have a cut off point too, i think it helps. When I first started I could not sleep because I was hungry! I would lay in bed like that until finally getting up and having some nice cold watermelon. (it has a lot of sugar and will create an insulin spike which can make u hungry after but never did that to me, prob because I would sleep after...lol,). It would fill me up and it's so low in cals and mostly composed of water so it helps release fluids too! Cantaloupe is great too and much lower in sugar. Just a few things that helped me susy, it was real hard for me to get rid of that night time eating in the beginning and it still can get me sometimes, depending on what is going on.
Eating every 3 hrs. during the day also helps to alleviate the night time hunger, or at least did for me. Lot's of water helps too, keeps the tummy full and has even been shown to increase metabolism (same for green tea).

Regarding the sleep, chamomile tea is helpful before bedtime and a nice warm bath before bedtime.

As for the t.v, the stupid t.v! lol I don't blame you chica, those darn commercials they put! Good luck with the WI this wednesay, keep us posted and hang in there, you'll find your niche!

MsPerception, oh yummmmmmmmy, lol SOunds so good girl, thanks for sharing with us. Thanks you have a great weekend too

Hi urockmom, good day for DD's (domestic duties)...trying to get them done today so I will be free tomorrow.

Hi to all, catch you soon. Have a terrific weekend.

FSA, I am quite proud of my 30 lb loss, but, lady, you had a hand in it. I want to thank you for starting these monthly threads. I am telling you that they have made all the difference in my weight loss. I think it's pretty safe to say that the other ladies here feel the same way. Without 3FC, I probably would be floundering in my efforts for sure, but it's these monthly threads in particular that have gone beyond being motivational to me to actually helping me to stay accountable and committed. Without that first April exercise thread I joined, there's no way I'd be doing exercise. Without the weight loss thread, I'd probably have lost steam once the initial motivation waned. You are an angel for starting these threads and caring about everyone who has joined them. Thank you so much!

Delphi, it looks like your days of carb consumption may be catching up with you, that and TOM is probably approaching. I do hope you get to feeling better soon! It does sound as if you need some extra rest, so definitely listen to your body!

CMof4, hope the peppers work for ya!

SuzyQ, good for you! Way to keep at it!

Ms_P, glad you got rid of the extra weight!

Ladies, I hope you all have a great OP weekend! Let's finish the week strong!!

Thanks FSA I am doing my own. I've tried many plans and found that I was still hungry and binged alot. Now I just eat anything but use portion controll and trying to stay away from fast food . Sometimes my time doesn't allow me to prepare dinner - straight from wrk (5pm) to baseball game (5:15) to home (8:15). This is only 2x a week, not counting saturday. So I try to eat OP but it's hard when I have a crazy baseball schedule and DH could never find the stove to cook dinner for some strange reason
Go figure. As for sleeping, I have alot on my mind and I believe it's my cause for not getting zzz's lately. I am going to try the tea and maybe some warm milk.
Have a great weekend all

Suzy

Jacqui and FSA ~ Well I'm alright, I just think it's pre TOM blues or something. I took an hour nap and I feel much better now.

MsP ~ That spaghetti sauce sounds yummy!

SuzyQ ~ Frustration is part of dealing with this journey. We all have to work through those times. If you hang in there and stay on plan you are sure to see results.

Alright ladies, I was just checking in and trying to fully wake up again. I'll check in later when I'm a little more coherent.

Bre has been busy with a summer AP Art class her and her brother are taking. They got 1 day of summer vacation on Friday last week and Monday started this class. It will last the month of June, so at least she isn't vegging out in front of the tv. She says that she has gained a few pounds but I pointed out to her that when you approach TOM you tend to gain 2-3 lbs. She didn't know that, so we will just keep a watch on it. She said it's probably because we haven't done much exercising. Which she quit going with me after the first 2 weeks, so I am not buying that one- lol Admitily I am behind on my exercise this week, but I will get there.

[QUOTE=Delphi;2769625
Supachix ~ That is GREAT news! You have no idea how happy that made me to read that. You keep fighting the good fight...and just remember that support is right here if you ever need it. How's Brea doing?

I have read in the past that your body needs about 1 oz per body weight in order to function at it's peak. I am not sure if that is true or not cause that could be a lot of water. Anyhow else heard this?

Hey all, so I'm lame and signed up but fell ill the next day and have been completely unmotivated for about 3 days. I had lost almost a pound since last friday, but gained it back with my lack of exercise. I wasn't eating too horrible, so I was able to maintain rather than gain anything by the end of this week. I got up and forced myself through my workout and feel worse now. I don't know what is going on, but I'm hoping things will start to get better soon.

Well Crystal I give you KUDO'S cause you didn't get discouraged cause you got sick- you forced yourself back into working out. Just don't push yourself too hard if you aren't up to 100%- you will get there!! Just keep on pressing on.
:-)

Oh before I forget- I am down 1 pound this week! Technically I already lost that pound last month and gained it at the end, but still it is gone and I am at 195 again.

Bre will do an official weekly weigh-in in the morning.

What a good way to stay motivated! When I lose weight, I will be able to sit in my DH's lap without feeling like I'm too heavy. And I won't feel like I disappear into a crowd. And I won't have to hide from cameras or dread mirrors, especially dressing room mirrors. And when I sit in the bath tub to take a bath, the water won't get stuck in the front of the tub as it's filling up with me in it, because my thighs won't be blocking both sides of the tub, lol! And just today I ran up the 19 steps to the second floor of my house without even having to take a single deep breath!

Thanks for the laughs. I forgot about the bathtub part. That just made my night.

So I did boot camp this morning, got home and really wanted to go back to bed but I had so much to do. Went upstairs and said good morning to the new BF. Got him coffee and went downstairs. Called old BF to make sure we were still on for the grill pick up. It was on!!

Got in the car a few minutes later and went to his house, got in his truck and off we went. Pick up took longer then expected, rain, not alot of help at Home Depot, yada, yada, yada, but then we were on the road again.

Went back to old BF's house, got my car and went to my house. New BF was waiting. They said hello, got the grill and put it on my deck. They then took old grill to curb. I went inside and they were gone for awhile....was wondering where they were and then there they were, both of them coming in my garage.

We all sat at the kitchen table and had coffee. I excused myself to go dry off the new grill. 10 minutes later I came back inside and they were beating the S@#T out of each other...

Just kidding, what do you think they were doing? That's right, talking sports. We all hung out, drinking coffee, talking grills, dogs, and sports and then my mom came home.

She entertained us for awhile and then the old BF left. This is weird,...old BF's mom is 5 years older then new BF. Old BFs stepdad is 4 years older than me. There's more but I gotta go....Hope you had a great day!!!
