Melissa, Fingers crossed for being pregnant! :D How exciting. It is a good time to remain healthy and keep up with some exercise even if you cant really do very high impact.

Mindy, I'm the same way if I put on work out clothes and just start it gets done and I feel great. I'm also one of those people that needs to keep up with the workouts if I miss a few days I just get lazy and its hard to get started again.

1 more day on plan! :carrot: Only got in 30 minutes of exercise though but I was spending family time with my 1 year old and Fiance so I got a late start but I guess that can also count as some relaxation time as it was a nice night. They went to bed and I got in some exercise. :)

Went to the gym today. Didn't do weights since I need to make up a routine still. So, went on the treadmill. Did 300 cals in 32mins41secs (one of my fastest times; composed of running fast and walking on an incline intervals). Also did Step Ups - 58 steps in 2 mins [at the beginning of the year, I started to track my progress of running 300 cals and doing step ups. I have improved greatly!!!]

And today I made pizza from scratch! Everything from scratch. Whole wheat dough, healthy pizza sauce, put veggie toppings on and low fat cheese. MMM delicious! I can be quite an amazing cook when I try and put effort into it. Cooking is one of my hobbies that I enjoy - always looking out for new recipes.

That's pretty much my day today. I need to get myself track on water intake. I'll see if I can make that my challenge for tomorrow.

Thanks Melissa for getting this started. I look forward to reading the posts everyday and it is encouraging to see everybody trying. I have had a very good 4 days. We walked at the park last night and I even played tag with my boys. They were surprised that Mama can run. :-)

I did some reorganization in my kitchen, so things like water bottles and stuff to pack meals is easier to get to- so I will actually use them and not cave into McDonalds when we are out. I even bought a tablecloth for the small table in our kitchen where we usually eat. I have been working hard to make meals special by thier presentation and not by ending them with some kind of baked sugar filled junk. Learning not to use food as a reward for me or the children has been quite a challenge for me.

Lori
working towards and hoping I have a loss to post on Friday!

Hi Friends,

Yesterday, I was 100% on-plan with my food. However, I've not gotten on the treadmill in 3 days! Today, I will keep my date with Mr. Tread. I am on week 3 of a 13 week beginning training program. At the end, I should be able to run a 5k. I also need to concentrate on drinking my water. Why is this such a chore for me?

Jacque9999 05-05-2009 08:11 AM

Unfortunately, I am lagging on a few things...
  • Straightened up my t-shirts in my closet but that wasn't a BIG de-cluttering
  • Haven't meditated but sort of have found some time to myself. I have gotten in the habit of reading a daily meditation from a book but that only takes about a minute.
  • Haven't gotten pampered yet....massage from BF
  • Weightloss is at a stand still because of TOM coming soon
  • Water, Exercise and Eating are all OP

MonteCristo 05-05-2009 09:15 AM

I stayed totally OP yesterday. :carrot: I "stepped" (stepping up and down on a exercise step) for 60 minutes, and walked for another 60 minutes while watching tv. Much less efficient than running on the treadmill, but I really wanted to watch a movie......;)

Sweet that pizza sounds delish!
Jacque Thanks I need all the motivation I can get! haha

Good luck today ladies! I plan on doing either my Cardio Max dvd, or the JM Cardio Kick box today. Its a beautful day outside might go for a lil stroll around the neighborhood too.

Hey Bootcampers. I did awesome!!! yesterday!!!! And after that crazy "no counting" weekend I manage to be down a little bit. That was crazy! I am going to the gym today adn got my food all prepared plus I hope to get my tat today. I would like to run outside but it is raining here!

Sweet - that pizza does sound good

Hailey and Pammy - GL on your 5K's. I have one next weekend.

Jacque- I have been doing well with it except like you when it comes to meditation and self time. I never seem to find time for that. I may get one of those books like you have. I mean I say my prayers but other than that....

Rowenna 05-05-2009 11:26 AM

It's not even lunchtime and I already feel great! I woke up at seven, had water and a protein shake, then headed to the gym for 2.5 hours. I probably wouldn't have stayed so long, except there was a new Cosmo magazine, so I just kept up on the elliptical for over an hour reading it! I also ran a mile on the treadmill in 10:20 which is a minute faster than yesterday! Then I came home, took a luxurious shower, shaved, and even did my hair and put on nice clothes. I feel all ready for the day, even though I'm not doing anything special...

Off to lunch, I am starving! But in a good way, as in, I exercised and now my body needs yummy fuel.

Good luck everyone!

Haley8203 05-05-2009 12:04 PM

You and me both!!! I will be so glad to have this semester over!! Our final exams are this week and I have two more exams togive - one this afternoon and one tomorrow morning. Two are done. I picked up teaching the last three weeks of three classes for a colleague when she went on mat leave. It has been a lot of work!! I have TAs grading those final exams but I still have to go through and submit all (450+) student's final letter grades to records. Plus I need to grade my own students final exams (they write in an hour) and submit those (but there are only 29 of them - small group!)

Once this week is over I can have my life back! I have been eating on plan all week and have squeezed in some exercise. I walked home from work yesterday (a mile and a half) and supervising two exams in a theater - up and down the stairs answering questions for two hours... tht counts for some exercise! Thursday and Friday I am taking the days all for me :carrot: Hubby and I are hoping to go away for a couple days and do some shopping and relaxing - can't wait! I will get fully on plan with the rest of my bootcamp categories in another day or so :o

Hey all, sounds like everyone's off to a pretty good start. I exercised today for the first time in a while. I didn't do as much as I wanted to because I had to help my boyfriend take an online final, but I got in a mini upper body workout on our weight machine, and 15 minutes of tae bo before I had to stop. I'm planning on doing some more before bed tonight, maybe even a walk after it gets dark. TOM started this week so I've only lost 0.8 so far, but I usually lose a good bit by the end of the week so I just need to make sure I stay on track this week.

Oh and I got a 96 on my final yesterday, only two more to go then I have a 3 week break until summer classes.
