Since everyone is posting their weights today... I didn't want to feel left out ;)
SW: 156.6 lbs CW: 154.8 lbs Whoot whoot! |
Yikes I went MIA, I was so sick all weekend, not fun at all. I still feel like ick. So no workout on Saturday or Sunday but I did get 60 minutes in today.
Start: 137 Friday WI: 138 (Up 1 lb) (Water Weight) Monday WI 134 (After being sick all week) So.... Kinda curious what tomorrow will be after I evened everything out today. :) Heres hoping.... Everyone keep up the good work, its very encouraging to see everyone doing so well. |
This is slipping way too far down :0 Where did everyone go? I was just watching the biggest loser final and that always encourages me to stay OP and post. I did well with water, food and exercise today. Got in 1 hour on the treadmill and can definitely feel it in my legs.

It is getting quiet in here.
How's everyone going with the non-diet part of the challenge? My decluttering is progressing well. I have started to get rid of my extra furniture - it hasn't gone yet, but people have promised to take it. And I've managed to keep my house reasonably tidy, which was lucky, as I had a surprise visitor on Friday. I really need to look into ebaying some of the other stuff, but I must admit the effort is putting me off. This weekend I have earmarked for my haircut - my sister is visiting next week, and she isn't backward in commenting when I need a hair cut. |
so I think I have mentioned before that I am going to a real "boot camp" starting next week and that I would let you all know some of the things that we do and how it is. Got some forms/rules from the trainer and here is one thing that I know you all can do...even starting now:
If we are late, don't show up (w/o prior notice), or talk about or eat twinkies, donuts, McD's, etc....then she will make us do 20 pushups. And this is for each occurrence. So ladies, if you get to the gym late or skip...drop and do 20. If you eat that twinkie or stop by the drive thru, drop and do 20!!! (I'm sure the employees at Mickey D's would get a kick out of that one!!!) Good luck!!! J |
I'm still here. Having a crappy week. TOM started on Monday and I needed to get weighed for a BL comp. I am in with a friend of mine. So I get on the scale Tues morning and I was up to 177.6 ( a 2.6 lb gain). I freaked and had a bad day yesterday. I am back OP today.

Monday was good - OP with everything.
Yesterday was pretty good. Stayed OP and did all my other stuff. It was really nice outside too so I decided that DS and I would walk to the grocery store. So we took the wagon, walked 1.2 mi and pulled back 90+ of food and water. Phew! It made me sore! This morning I skipped my workout for the first time in a while. I was tired and frustrated at the non moving scale, so I sat down and watched Biggest Loser instead  Maybe I'll do it later if no one shows up to my church group tonight... |
This week has been so-so for me. After getting upset about my blood pressure on Saturday, it has been hard to get back on a roll. Seems so hopeless. I am working a lot in the yard getting the garden in and I am sore today! I used muscles I haven't used in years I think!

I have been slacking big time. I am telling you I have a problem with food. I just can't say no....I swear I will sit here and beat myself up after I eat it. I think now why did you do that.....you are NOT going to become thinner eating stuff like that! I think my main problem is that I'm too lazy to cook (yet I go buy groceries), and when I buy groceries I always impulse buy some kind of junk food....which I binge on later....and when I don't eat right I DO NOT exercise either. I'm going to focus the rest of this week on eating right, no more eating out or binges, and no junk food impulse buys at the grocery store this weekend...I'm going to make sure I eat a good, full healthy meal....I will put everything that isn't on my list in a seperate part of the buggy....before I head to the checkout counter I will review my "impulse" buys and put back anything that is unhealthy or that could cause a binge. |

I have been not so OP lately. I need to kick up the exercise. A year ago today I dropped a ton of weight (mostly from depression as my gramps passed) but I am keeping busy today and going to make sure that I get on that elliptical tonight after work! I am going to be sure to follow this 20 push ups rule as I HATE push ups. If I don't get in a workout tonight I will make myself do push ups. I think I might get on the Wii Fit tonight too! |

....I will put everything that isn't on my list in a separate part of the buggy....before I head to the checkout counter I will review my "impulse" buys and put back anything that is unhealthy or that could cause a binge.[/QUOTE] Melissa, I think your idea of not keeping binge items in the house is a very good idea. That has helped me a lot! Can someone else do the shoping for a while? I don't have that option, so I came up with another plan. Anything I want that is not on the list, I write on the back of the list- a start on the next list. So I tell myself I can buy it next time if I still want/need it. This also casues me to really plan my list instead of just winging it at the store. Once I put one item in the cart that I shouldn't eat, it just seems to snowball. You can do this, we are all here supporting you! |
McKenziesmomm I will share when it starts. Oh I am so excited!!!

I have been staying the same no matter how much or what kind of workout i do. After examining the situation, I think I may be too low on calories. I am fearful, but, I am going to bump it up some. I'll see what happens.

MTiger I think having a few extra calories sometimes helps with weight loss. I know that seems backwards doesn't it! But I refused to do weight watchers because I figured I was barely eating anything as it was so what good would it be to count points (at this point I was rarely having breakfast and lunch and having a small dinner like a salad and a tiny bit of meat). But I gave it a shot and found that in order to get to my points I needed to eat a lot more then I was. Now this is what I have:
Breakfast: WW english muffin with light butter Fiber One yogurt Snack: Fiber One Bar or fruit Lunch: Smart Ones Snack: Fiber One Bar or fruit Dinner: Small portion of meat (no larger then my fist) Small portion of starch Lots of veggies (my veggie portion is always larger then my meat and starch) I have found that when sticking to this diet I pull off more pounds faster. However, I still have a hard time eating THAT much!!! Good luck to you and I hope raising your calories helps!!!! *Keeping my fingers crossed!*:crossed: |
Couch - I'm pretty pleased with how I'm doing on the "life" side of the challenge. I'm doing Flylady, and I'm starting to get in the swing of things. My bathroom has been beautiful and sparkly for several weeks (shocking!), and I've almost got it drilled into the kids heads that the steps and hallway aren't suppose to have anything on them (I swear they thought they were closets or something).
I've also made good progress on my booklist. I've read Dune, Siddhartha, and I just started Anna Karenina this morning. I've having a little more difficulty with the graciousness/kindness part. I believe I've gotten a bit better, and actually, easing up on my workouts has really helped. I really need to exercise before I eat dinner or it is really hard for me to get going, so I would come home and jump straight on the treadmill. But as I had been gone all day, my family would be all over me needing some attention, which I was unwilling to give, as I had to exercise. Now I only have to get in 1 hour before dinner (instead of the 90-120 minutes I was doing before), and I'm going to take my two rest days on weekdays (Tues & Fri), so I'll have more freedom to interact with them without feeling like they are "stealing" my exercise time. On the weightloss side, thought I haven't weighed since Monday, I'm pretty sure that I've lost weight. I just feel lighter and smaller. That probably sounds strange, but I can usually tell. I hope everyone has a great day! |
