On track today. Eating has been good and workout was pretty good. I am helping my friend train for a 5k we are doing together. We are working on going longer distances, for her. I am trying to push her. It's kind of fun feeling a little bit like Jillian. She told me today that I am totally TARA. She things I could have done the marathon, no problem. I don't know. 26.2 miles is one H*** of a long way.

We are going to run M TU TH F. Then take a "break" on W and do some strength training. Fun, fun.

Well I did pretty good today, had 1278 calories. I still didn't exercise as much as I would have liked. It's taking me a while to re-adjust to working out in the mornings. It was too hot this morning to go walk, so I tried the Leslie Sansone walking program on On Demand and walked 2 miles with that. Then when I was watching TV i got up and did jumping jacks and jogged place during commercials. Tomorrow I have a funeral to go to so I probably won't be able to get in much exercise in the morning, but I'll get some in tomorrow night before I go to bed. My mom's draining the pool this weekend to clean it, so next week I get to start swimming!!

Oh, and I bought the DietMinder notebook today too instead of just relying on the computer. I'll keep it with me at all times that way I can write things down as soon as I eat it so I don't forget to track it. And I love how it has places for before and after pictures.

Since being sick ive been eating between 1200-1400 cals. per day. I been trying to eat more coz I feel so weak. This dang whatever it is has taken the life out of me. Hopefully tomorrow I can excerise. I hid my scale. I felt I was too compulsive with it. So def. only weighing on Mondays!!!! This is my plan and im sticking to it.

Just a quick post tonight.... I stayed OP with Food, Exercise and Water today! :) Tomorrow is a day off for exercise for me. I have a Mary Kay Party that I promised a friend I would attend and will not be home until after 9pm. I hit my exercise for this week and need a day for my muscles to relax anyhow.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Good Morning Ladies!!

It is 4:52 am and i cant sleep. I have had the worse night sleep in along time. My fractored leg is hurting, and i am very stressed out a=bout not exercising. i tried crunchs yesterday and that even hurt, so i crawled slowly onto the trampoline, and was able to do crunches there. We went out for supper last night to Montanas cookhouse..the best place for ribs..all you can eat night, to celebrate my son turning 13...but i ordered salmon, and instead of rice, i ordered a extra side of veggies(broccoli), and drank diet pepsi, instead of the normal strawberry daquire.

i went online and looked at the calorie diffrence..this is what i got

my supper
salmon 410
veggies 200
my total 610

my hubbys
ribs two orders...1540
mash potato...110
gravy....50
extra sauce..132
cornbread..260
ice tea....290
total 2382 for him

diffrence of 1772....before i started this journy i would never thought that his meal hod so many calorie...eeeekkkk

im hoping for a drop in the scale today, and im going to see if i can work out with the wii fit.

hope everyone has a great day!!

So far I've been on track with eating everyday except yesterday (my brithday)
- but excersise! I tried to go for a run yesterday, but I'm so self conscious that people are looking and laughing at me that it ended up just being a fast walk.
I'm sure they don't even notice me and my logical self is telling me the only way to look any different is to run, but I'm too afraid of being humiliated! Grrrrr.

Good news is I've lost 3.5 pounds so far this May - on 6.5 to go for my may mini goal!

maryshady 05-07-2009 06:56 AM

Did great yesterday. Cals were at 1400, drank 80 oz of water, and worked out for 1 hour. 30 min HIIT on treadmill, and 30 min BL dvd.

Have a great one!!

So sad to hear about your leg. Remember eating is 80% of weight loss exercise only 20% so be mindful of what you eat and you will be fine! Congrats on eating so healthy at dinner. Isn't it amazing how in your old way of eating you never even would have thought about how many calories you were ingesting. Then I would think I eat like everyone else but I gain weight! lol!!! No wonder!

Belated :bday2you: Don't worry as you continue to lose weight and succeed you will get more confident.

Good job!!! Even walking while watching a movie is better then sitting on the couch watching a movie.

Jacque- I have been doing well with it except like you when it comes to meditation and self time. I never seem to find time for that. I may get one of those books like you have. I mean I say my prayers but other than that....

At least it is something even if it is only a minute. Might get another one for the bathroom :D I did listen to a podcast while riding the bike yesterday on "101 ways to transform your life". I got to #20, I think. I got a ways to go before I am "transformed"....LOL

Stayed OP yesterday - even ate less than my cals - not a normal thing for me!
Yesterday it was threatening to rain all day and I kept putting off my walk to wait for DH to come home. Well he didn't have time, and then it started to rain. :( So DH went back to work, and I grabbed the umbrellas and dragged DS out with me. The normal time it takes DH and I to walk 20 min, I did it in 10 - so I was really booking it. :running:
DS and I also played badminton which really wasn't a lot of running, but more a lot of bending over

Today - Day 3 of Shred. It's getting easier and more difficult. I think I can make it all 30 days.

AND!!!! I'm so super proud of myself! I am doing the 100 Pushup Challege and yesterday I did 25 in a row! :carrot: When I started my initial test, I could only do 8 or something. Yay!

Go Go Go ladies! :dancer:

Haley8203 05-07-2009 07:29 AM

Seems like we're getting a good grip on staying OP, that's great, I also had a good week and I weighed in today at 290.6 which is a 2.6lb loss since last week

MonteCristo 05-07-2009 09:30 AM

Still OP here! :broc:

I have added an extra extra area to work on. I love to read, and I've read hundreds of books. However since college my reading has sort of fallen to the wayside, and even when I do read it is usually "fluff". Not that there is any harm those type of books, but I really enjoy tougher books, the kind where I actually have to break out the dictionary once in a while when reading. So I'm working on putting together a list of the great novels that everyone should read. So far I've consolidate 4 different top 100 lists, and have about 270 books. There are a couple of more book sites that I want to check, and then I'm going to start plowing through them.

Keep up the great work everyone!!

OMG! This is amazing! Thank you for posting because you are so right...I think so many times we go out and eat and while we may KNOW what we are eating isn't good for us and high in fat and calories we never realize that sometimes the meal we are sitting down to is very close to what it takes to gain a pound of fat (3,500 calories)...that was only ONE meal...imagine if all of your meals were like this AND we didn't exercise....WOW!!!

Well....school is OUT...and I'm going to get back OP TODAY!!!!

Satria 05-07-2009 09:47 AM

MonteCristo I'm doing this too! :) I just finished Beloved (Toni Morrison) and now I'm reading Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Fellowship of the Rings. I, on the other hand, am not a huge reader - I love non-fiction but get easily bogged down by long fiction novels. So this is real challenge ( and I'm listening to some on MP3...) but I am really enjoying most of them :)

Rowenna 05-07-2009 09:57 AM

I sidestepped some major PMS related cravings yesterday, and did a lot of walking and a little biking. I was under calories unintentionally for a few days which worried me, so I tried to go from 1000-1200 to 1300-1400. It is hard to add only a few hundred calories! I am so worried about going way overboard, but I also know going under isn't good, even when I'm not hungry.

Today will be a difficult day. I am going to a party tonight where the menu is pasta, ciabatta bread, and plenty of delicious pies. My plan is moderation... Wish me luck on that. I will try to have a light lunch to make up for it.

I spent an hour or two yesterday starting to pack. I got all of my books and a lot of winter stuff packed up that I won't be using for a while. Only ten days left until I have to move...

LLBeaner 05-07-2009 11:58 AM

Well last night I got on the elliptical and 15 mins later I was in pain! haha But 15 minutes was longer then I thought I would make it. I am home with allergy issues today but still OP. I have lost a couple lbs so far but have realized that my goal is probably not so realistic. Glad to see everyone is doing well. Off to get some cleaning done!
