Well bootcampers. Sorry to say, but I am bidding goodbye to this thread. I started the BL Summer Challenge this week. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with too many threads to check on. I'll pop in from time to time to see how everyone is doing. It was fun during my month here.

Well I have either made or came very close to all my goals for this month. I hit the weight loss goal of a 5 lb loss. Did well on water, exercise, relaxation, treated myself. So I am ready JUNE!!!!

Ok the end of the month and urgh....hahaha I really didn't do as well as I thought but I now realize that I set my goals too high! I'm looking forward to June and being more productive. I think this month has given me a good jump start for the next! Here is a recap:
#1. My plan is Weight Watchers. I have found that I have had the best luck with this as it forces me to eat MORE. I think most of my problem is that I usually only eat dinner! I stuck to this and counted all my points. I slacked a bit on the weekends but otherwise was rather honest with myself. #2. EXERCISE I have not been good about exercising but feel that the following goal is do-able for me: -elliptical at least 10 mins (to start as I know it's going to kill my legs in the beginning) a day -three mile walk with my dog at least three times a week This is where I failed. My poor dog didn't get walked at all this month. However we have a fenced in back yard so she got to run a lot and we play soccer with her EVERY day! But summer is upon us and I hope to really kick things up a notch. #3. Relaxation My new thing is writing in my journal. I don't want to have a daily entry but at least once a week. I am writing not about my journey to weight loss but rather about who I am and who I want future generations to know me as. I did start to do this and will continue. #4. Water This is a biggy for me. I am going to set a goal of having at least 85 ounces of water a day. I know this sounds low but right now I usually only have one bottle of water. I really don't like water so I use crystal light. I have been MUCH better about getting my water in. #5. Declutter your home - my goal is to set aside at least 10 minutes after eating dinner to clean the house a bit. I feel this will also help me with not going straight to bed after I eat! This is ongoing. I am looking into some feng shui so I will definately be decluttering this month! #6. Pamper/Grooming To me pampering is a tan. I love being tan. So I have purchased a monthly package and will not allow myself to go tanning unless I walked or used the elliptical in the morning. I did tan a few times and that does keep me in line a bit. #7. Extra area to work on - My temper. I have found that because I have been upset with myself I have been taking that out on others in my life. Still need to keep working on this. #8. Motto/Mantra - To be calm is the highest achievement of the self. - Yogi #9. Goals I had recently lost 15lbs with weight watchers but couldn't afford it anymore and in the past couple weeks have gained back 12. I am going to set my goal at 15lbs. Not even close! But next time! #10. REWARD I'm going to reward myself with (I really want to say a Friendly's Five Scoop Butterfinger Sundae right now) hmmm...I'm going to say that for meeting this goal I am going to treat myself to a pedicure. Yea a pedicure at the mall. No reward as I didn't do as well as I wanted. |
Okay everyone...post your start and finish especially on weight...whoever lost the most needs to start the next thread

CW: 167.6 Only a 2.8 lb loss. I didn't stay on plan quite as much as I would have liked. I usually had at least one slip up on food a week, and didn't exercise as much as I would have liked. But next month will be better, I did really good with staying on plan this past week and plan on staying that way. |

Where is everybody? You all can't give up now, summer is just beginning. I need this challenge, we all need it or we would not have joined. Anybody still here??? I feel all alone :-) |
