Jacque9999...that sounds intense but well worth it. Keep it up, I'm sure you'll have great results from that!

Well I was REALLY bad yesterday. My mom went to France and Switzerland and brought back some AMAZING chocolate! But I felt like crap today from eating it. SOOOO I got out my three month tracker for WW that I bought and never used and have keep close record of EVERYTHING so far today. My new Wii workout game comes today and I am really excited. We are heading up to our camp tomorrow afternoon and I ALWAYS walk about 5 miles every morning when I am up there. Looking forward to this as it will be a great motivator for next week.

Hey everyone. I have eaten soo horribly today. I graduate from college in December and am planning on getting a job as a teacher assistant (possibly later getting certified to be a teacher) at the school that my Mom works at. Well I want to work with younger children, so I spent the day in a first grade classroom. It was one of the little girl's birthday and she brought me a cupcake, then sat there waiting for me to eat it, so I did. Then later, another girl's parents bring all of us hot fudge sundaes, and again I felt bad not eating it when they brought me one. Another reason for me spending a day here was for me to meet all the important people (principle, asst. principles, etc.) so that they can get to know me and be excited about hiring me next year. Well we went out to eat at the bowling alley where I had a cheeseburger and fries. Then for dinner tonight I had pizza. I'm going to have to do some major exercising tomorrow morning to burn off all this stuff I ate today. But I must say, I had a lot of fun with the kids today and I absolutely LOVE this school and can't wait to work there. I just need to learn to pass on some of the snacks they bring in so that I don't gain all the weight back lol.

Jacque- I would love to do that bootcamp with you. I know I'm a bit crazy, but I love burpees. Mainly because I "can" do them now. It sounds right up my alley. Not sure when I came to enjoy working out so much. Freaky!!!

Zoo- I am a teacher and I am always declining those luscious looking cupcakes. It gets easier. Once in a while, I cave. Depends on the type of day I have been having. I hear that next year all those goodies are going to be outlawed. :(

I shopped for capris today. the ones I wore today were no better than a sack. I got 3 14's And......drumroll......one size 12. WTH???? Did WATP for 30 min. Tomorrow is a 5k with my workout partner.

Jacque, Sounds like the boot camp workout was tough but I bet it really works. Sounds kinda fun too.

Couch, Congrats on Making goal!!!!!!!!!! WTG :carrot:

LLBeaner, Did you get the new EA Game for the Wii, I got it yesterday and love it. Completed day 2 of the 30 day challenge today. I love the interaction.

Well I have had a few bad days. I just wasnt losing what I wanted to and I had a work picnic today so didnt eat well. I did keep up the exercise so I'm hoping that mixing it up will help me break through and start losing again.

I leave in 2 weeks for a Vegas weekend and want to lose at least 3 lbs in this time. I have been stuck for 2 weeks at pretty much the same weight so not sure its going to happen. :(

Anyhow......... Plans for the holiday weekend?????????????

Friday check-in!

I'm pretty excited this morning! I weighed in at 241.4 this morning That makes a total of 7.4 pounds lost this month! That brings my total lost to 30.6 pounds.

Satria 05-22-2009 09:38 AM

I've been staying OP - even yesterday when DH came home with the full fat frap instead of the light one I requested. :( I just ate a really little dinner. I was at my parents and I think my mom was shocked that I only had a bit of rice, but I honestly wasn't hungry. Later on the night I did want to snack a bit, but I distracted myself with a good book.

I think I'm down only a 1/2 pound this week, but it's still moving in the right direction. :) I've solidly lost 5 now, instead of dancing around the number. Looking forward to hitting 10 and my first mini-goal! :carrot:

mtiger 05-22-2009 08:34 PM

Didn't get the 3 miles in today. My workout bud ran out of time. So we did 1 together and then I did 1 more by myself. Hey, 2 miles isn't bad. We are going to give it a shot again on Monday.

Good news of the day. I was down to 188.6. Haven't seen that number before. :carrot: I hope it keeps creeping down.

:broc:DAY TWO OF BOOT CAMP:broc:

It was great this morning....there was only 6 of us. After a few laps around the court, she set up 6 stations:
  • Basket Ball throw
  • Bicep curls
  • Bent over rows
  • Burpees (I decided I hate those)
  • Tricep dips on bench
  • Mountain climbers

We did each about 1-2 minutes and then switched stations. After one circuit, we then got partners and did side steps tossing the ball and then did another partner exercise where we tossed the ball and then jumped and turned around.

After a few minutes we went back to the circuit and did it again. Then did the partner stuff again. THEN we did the circuit again in reverse.

After that we did the 2 partner exercises and then another one where where we stood on one leg and kept tossing the ball back and forth. The goal was to make our partner drop the other leg. When one person dropped the leg, we switched legs.

And finally, the cool down/stretching. It was a non stop hour...the layers came off. Started out cold but warmed up where I almost was just in my sports bra and shorts.

HOLY MOLY...this sounds intense....I bet it pays off!

This is such a good habit...not only can you hold yourself accountable for every morsel/calorie that goes in your mouth...but you can also pinpoint what I call BINGE MOMENTS.....they are times when you are likely to nosh/binge on foods without realizing it....emotional eating/ eating while watching t.v./ etc. About a year ago, I finally realized that when Dr. Phil and Oprah came on I started eating...something about that time of day or watching t.v. or something just made me want to eat...so I did....finally broke that habit too! So anyways...I digress...good job on deciding to do this...keep it up even when it feels like alot of trouble or your busy.

Cool...I graduate in December too....I'm finishing my degree in education. I have already passed all my certification exams for my license. Good luck...stick with it...it can be a very rewarding field even if you don't make alot of money.

Grilling out with the family....grilled chicken kabobs with veggies and grilled corn on the cob with low cal strawberry shortcakes! YUM! And lots of activities like frisbee and swimming and tag!

Not much action here this weekend. I have been in the yard most of the time. I have so much to do. I am only making a dent. It will keep me busy all summer. I am currently just cleaning up from last year and weeding. New projects will start once school is out.

Did not get in and "official" workout yesterday. My time outside counted. Today I am planning a long walk, with some running.

Have a great weekend.

Okay... I've been wanting to learn rollarblading for YEARS and they have just been sitting in the garage collecting dust.

Well after supper, I'm going to put them on and start learning again. I won't get too far today since I'll be working on balance and stopping. But it's a start!

A few things...I never posted what we did on our 3rd day of BC last Friday. Of course when we were done (and very sore), the instructor asked what we were doing this weekend and pretty much everyone felt like they would just be recuperating. LOL So here is the breakdown:

Squats, lunges, squats, lunges, some ab work too....I could not feel my legs when we were done. Sorry but that's all I remember. Can't remember the exact exercises, but it was all lower body. We figured we did about a hundred squats and a hundred lunges...just different exercises. Hopefully I will be on top of it tomorrow and remember exactly what we did.

On another note, one of my goals was to do at least 440 minutes a week of exercise. So far so good for the month of May. Unless my math is off, I have done:
  • May 1-7 464 minutes
  • May 8- 14 455 minutes
  • May 8-21 540 minutes

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 07:18 PM.
