Yesterday I was TARA, today I feel like Jillian. My friend and I did 3 miles. I was pushing her to run more and keep going even when she felt like quitting. At some point it becomes a mind thing, not a body thing. I was really proud of her and glad i could be encouragement.

Monte- I would be interested to know what books you plan to read. I read as much as possible. I love fluff. Cowboy romances are my weakness, Diana Palmer, Linda Lael Miller, Joan Johnston and the likes. I also like Sheryl Woods, Debbie Macomber, Susan Wiggs, stuff like that.

Satria- Shred is killer. Good for sticking with it. Her new DVD's are kick A** too.

Tomorrow is weigh-in. Wish me luck.

Merose, Happy Belated Birthday! and.... Congrats on the loss.

Jacque, Was your podcast any good? The 101 ways to transform your life. It sounds interesting.

So another day pretty much OP, I was at about 1400 calories instead of 1200 but thats not so bad because I was hungry and I did take my one of my dogs on a very lengthy walk and did 30 minutes of exercise at home on top of that so I think I needed some extra fuel. Tomorrow is my WI but it doesnt seem like I'm going to be down. TOM is coming up next week and the scale is up a bit. I'm going to put forth a strong effort and hopefully when TOM leaves so will some extra pounds.

Oh yeah and today's workout was a bonus because I was suppose to go to a Mary Kay Party and had to cancel because my little boy is sick. Its just a cold but I wanted to be with him and not gone all night.

Lost 1 lb this first week. At 175 today. Finally I am going in the right direction. My dh started treatment for an illness about 6 weeks ago and I have used it as an excuse to eat out of self pity but no more. It feels good to be in control again.
Had an NS victory this morning too!! I ran for 20 mins straight at speeds of 4.0-4.5. Very proud of myself.

Yesterday was great. Ate 1400 cals and did 30 ds.

Have a great one!!

That is awesome! Go, Mary, Go!

Yesterday, I spent the day in bed with a migraine. Fun fun. The good news is that I didn't overeat. I've not been on the treadmill at all this week. Today, I will get on the treadmill. My scales have not budged this week. I know this is my fault. I must exercise!

I am so gald for this challenge! (you might need to remind me of this later in the challenge). My 11 yr old pushed me every time I walked with him and thus I walked a mile nearly every day. I weighed in at 245.4 this morning- a loss of 3.4 pounds! I couldn't believe it. I stayed on plan all week, something I haven't done since I started my journey back in February of this year. My total loss now is 26.6 pounds. I am feeling pretty good this morning!

It is good to see so many staying on plan and exercising and good to see those who want to improve next week. I'm cheering for all of you! Great job everyone!

I am always so motivated in the mornings. I never overeat in the mornings either, and I always get in my water and vitamin. I want to carry that over into the rest of the day, and especially the weekend.

Last night, I had a special dinner and indulged by trying many of the delicious homemade breads, pastas and pies. I tried to be moderate, but even still, the food was heavy and by the end of the night, I felt stuffed. I woke up this morning, and I still feel overstuffed and bloated. I am not unhappy with myself for what I ate, but I want to be able to listen to my body and stop when I'm pleasantly satisfied instead of too far gone.

Today is my last day of regular classes for the year. I will get in my strength training and try to run a mile before lunch, and go to pilates class. Then, later in the afternoon we're having a schoolwide marathon - in teams, so you only have to run a few laps, or as many as you want. I am going to try to push myself to run as many as I possibly can. It is great exercise, outside, and actually with other people. I tend to only exercise alone, so this will be a good opportunity for me. Let's just hope the thunderstorms hold off...

There will also be a party with tons of food later tonight. That will be a challenge to avoid, but there is also a dance party, and I plan to wear a hot outfit and sweat it out on the dance floor. Dancing is serious exercise!

Congrats 2behealthy! That's so awesome that you spent a whole week on plan. I can't wait until I can say that!

maryshady - running without stopping has been one of my goals too. I never thought I could do it, so I would alternate walking with jogging. Then one day on the treadmill I was like, let's see how far I can go without stopping. I went for a whole mile! Now that I know I can do it, I'm trying to run a mile every day and improve my time, speed and intensity. I love having little challenges like that to keep me interested!

girlygirlsebas - Sorry about the migraine - those are never fun. Get in your exercise when you can though! My scale hasn't moved this week, either (except a few upward fluctuations....) and I know it is because I haven't done enough cardio. At least we know what we need to do! Let's get out there and do it!

I stayed OP yesterday, but didn't take an evening walk.

I am up from my start weight, but on the 2nd of May I went up 5 lbs so I am almost back at my start weight I guess. I can do this anyway - it will just be a little extra work

Actually, I was listening to it again this morning on the bike and made it to like #30 and realized it was getting a little to religious. It referred to G-d in almost every one. I'm not really into that so, some of the ideas I probably would never use. But I am only about a third through it so we will see. I will continue to listen. I have had it for along time, and it was free on iTunes so it doesn't really matter if I don't ever use it again if I don't like it. Worth checking out.
