As of today, I do not weigh 300 lbs.

I have unofficially met my Christmas goal.

Wow- it's a party in here! I'm joining you guys! So we've got what, about 19 weeks, give or take? I'm going to call my goal 30 LB, which based on the scale this morning would be exactly 160. I'm doing the couch 2 5k challenge, and I found a 100 pushups 6 week plan on the fitness forums that I might start.

So hi everyone!

Shaker~ CONGRATS on your weight loss. This has made my day!!! You deserve new clothes! You rock. We can cut stone with a pen. (pin) Thank you for posting the words to the song. I have not heard it before, but I am going to look it up! I am soooooooooooo proud of you!! Where can I find the pictures??

Eny~ on shredding! I am going to do some more shredding myself. I have my hips, butt, and legs to tone, cardio, abs, and wall push ups to do today. I posted to the fitness group for help with a couple alternate exercises for 2 I just couldn't figure out how to manage. She was a sweetie to help me out. Now I am rearing to go as it is this tapes day in the rotation. I like Cory Everson in this series of tapes, though they are older, she really busts my rump! Here is to leaving 180's ville!!

Inspired~Where are you? I missing you!!

Asynchronous~Welcome to our group. This is a very supportive group of ladies. Jump in we will have fun getting to know each other.

Yesterday the grandkids just about drove me crazy. I have all 3 Monday, then just the youngest. That will ease the stress level. Yesterday I did not eat enough. Sounds so strange to say! Today I will be on track, on program with both eating and exercise. Here is to health and well being. Catch ya all later. Pat

Hi Dixiemae! Here I am! I didn't make it on the computer last night to check in.

I did pretty good yesterday, drank lots of water, stayed on plan, watched my portions and took two walks (1 on the treadmill for 30 min and 1 outdoors, which was more of a stroll than a workout). Feeling optimistic today! Maybe I can do this!!!

A NSV to report...I pulled my smallest pair (that I kept) of "skinny jeans" out of the closet this morning...wanting to see if I could get them on. Not only did I get them on, but I am wearing them, AND I CAN BREATHE in them!! I am excited for Monday's weigh in!!
Kate, I love this thread too! Way to go on the skinny jeans!!!! Keep up the good work!

Yay EarthShaker! Congrats on the new size and breaking the 300 mark!!!! That's wonderful!

And good for you Enygirl for staying on track! (It feels good doesn't it!)

Welcome Asynchronous! This thread is full of wonderful caring people! They have all been an inspiration to me! You'll like it here!

And hello to everyone I didn't mention by name! Have a great day!

Good morning girls!

Earth How AWESOME for you! Keep it up until the "official" Monday weigh in! And then you're going to have to make a NEW Christmas Goal!

I'm slowly losing the weight that I ahd put back on the last week. Hopefully I'll lose it all plus a little by Monday! I did day 2 of 30 day shred yesterday too... I can feel a difference in my muscles already, even though i'm only on level 1... but it's motivating me to KEEP GOING! Plus I LOVE the fact that I get such a GREAT work out in only 20 minutes!

I'm GOING to hit my Labor Day Goal - and My Christmas goal! I'm going to do a Halloween goal and Turkey day goal between them I'm sure! I HAVE TO DO THIS!!! I WANT TO BE OVERWEIGHT WHEN COMES!

Hi Everyone

Eny~ way to go. What is this 30 day shred workout you are doing? I am so curious! I have not sneaked a peek at the scale yet. l might in the morning. I did it Eny!! I did it!! I was able to do the hip, butt, back tape! My legs are still a little wobbly, but I got through the whole tape. I did an hour of stepping, 100 wall push ups (33 + 33 +34) and 125 upper ab crunches + 50 oblique crunches. I am tired, but I feel good knowing I did my workouts. When are you still planning to start your new thread? Let me know. Clue me in about your Halloween and Turkey Day goals.

Inspired~You can do this, yes you, you can. We are here for you, with you, at your side, behind you, in front of you, encouraging you every step of the way. You aren't alone. Way to go with your great walking. I walked outside yesterday too. Great minds think alike.lol

Catch ya all later Pat

The 30 Day shred is a DVD by Jillian Michaels. So far I love it! It's a great workout in 20 minutes! It's tough too.

Right now I'm retaining a TON of water! I'm thinking it's because my muscles are working like they haven't in MONTHS! That's what I get for slacking on the workouts! I've peeked at the scale, and unless this water goes away quickly I'm going to have to post the first official gain in MONTHS tomorrow! I don't know why my body is SO stubborn and hates crossing over into the lower #180s! I'm still clear of the #190s -but Dang I WANT TO SEE #170 by the end of the month!!! (I don't forsee it happening right now!)

As for the & threads, I start them on the last day of the exsisting one - so I'll do the one on Labor Day.

Eny~Hang tough, water weight is different than fat. Don't stress over a gain from water. I did a sneak peek at the scale this morning. I am the same 184. I want to loose something even if it is just .2.If it is not to be so be it. I have done my workouts. I have not eaten as clean as I could have, yet I know I could have done a lot more damage. I am not upset over a couple of slips. I am so blasted glad this week is behind me I could turn cartwheels. This is a fresh new week I WILL make the most of it. I will be looking for your new thread and join in. With the "goodies" seasonal holidays right around the corner I am going to have to be extra special careful. That will be just what I need to keep me aware and accountable! I have overslept by hours. I woke up about 7:30 am in pain. Took some pain relievers and went back to bed. I woke up it was 12:12 I almost freaked out. I am way behind with this day already. I had better go get some things done, including my exercise workouts. Catch ya all later. Pat

Good morning all Still getting nowhere fast, having gotten sidelined by a coxsackie virus. I feel bad for a few days then it settles in one of my joints and it is just so painful. Doing better today, so hopefully I can get going again today. Still committed, just unable!

Everyone is doing so well. You are all amazing!

Keep up the good work. Kathy

I am hoping that I can lose 40 lbs by Christmas. So far everything has been going so well, and I hope it continues. I am still excited about dieting.

I can make it I think! I have been walking a few miles a day, playing basketball, and I have been recording fitness shows from t.v. on my DVR and doing them. I especially love the Christian fitness. Every day they're focusing on a different type of exercises, and they have great tips for losing the weight.

Last Christmas I was sad because a very cute pair of pants I got I could not wear. And I was too ashamed to ask my mom to return them for a larger size. So I tucked them away in the back of my dresser; I pulled them out the other day and they fit perfectly. This Christmas I want all my new clothes to FIT!

Thanks so much for your encouragement!

WTG on the pants Moonring05!

haleygirl82, upping your intake of fruits and veggies could help. Since they're full of fiber they help keep you fuller feeling longer because they take longer to digest than simple carbs and they're lower in calories! Good luck!

TappingPeony, hope you get to feeling even better soon! That will certainly help get you back on track.

Enygirl, looking forward to those holiday threads! I'll be there too!

I'm doing pretty good today. I don't think I checked in for yesterday ... Stayed on plan (except for a couple of fried pickle slices ... my husband had them with his dinner and I just had to try them out ... different, not something I'd eat regularly or even occasionally, but I can say I've tried them, reminded me a bit of cornmeal-breaded fried yellow squash but the squash is much, much better). Got an outdoor walk in last night for about 30-40 min. Did pretty good on my water too.

As for today, did pretty good, treadmill for 30 min.

Nite all!
