good afternoon all, and welcome amy congrats on lbs. lost thus far, ex. , etc.
Ml, way to go! keep up the awesome work Along the same lines as what you and Amy said regarding exercise, I feel the same way. It really is one of the major things helping keep me on plan, it just really helps to reinforce the healthy eating plan and is a super stress releiver. THanks for the encouragement ml, I'm shaking it off! lol
I am very happy, I just found out that my father picked me up a fresh batch of haddock, he has been waiting for a fresh batch to come in! That is great news as I had my last filet Monday and fish is a major part of my eating plan (as I have it 3x aweek). I could see how not having it the rest of the week affected my plan. Anhow, I ended up doing a double beef this week (yes , yesterday leftover beef) so now my plan is to eliminate it for next
week and replace it with another fish night!
I'm going shopping tomorrow and I am going to look for a pair of pants a size down. I did that the beginning of last month and now the pants fit!! They were no where's near fitting before, I could barely fit them over my hips. It gives me some extra incentive.
well ladies, I hope your day is going very well...keep up the good work Today, my focus is on doing well today! day by day, we will succeed!
So just posting the results of my first march measurements. They were a maintain, which I expected since I ate bad over my Reading Break, and then due to being sick this week, haven't been able to exercise. At least I didn't gain. Yesterday went well for eating though, and so did today, so far, still have dinner to go... But I know I'll be good.
I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be a-okay at work tomorrow. Doughnuts can be so tempting! I'm gonna pack a good lunch and snacks though, to help me stay on track.
I was just hanging out online and reading the goals section, how nice, how inspiring! I really enjoyed the success storeis and seeing the pics (both before and after), it truly is beautiful : )
cats tongue, congrats on your inches lost thus far!! : ) I was actually reading in one of the posts that quite a few posters said takeeeee measurements! It's something I have been meaning to do and have not done yet but darn that's it! my goal for this weekend ( make that early next week) is to take measurements! I know that there will come a time that the scale will not show my progress and I will need to rely on other measures of success. True, I see it in my clothing, etc. but still........that may be a subtle measure at times and seeing the actual inches lost can provide a concrete form of success!
Ml, you had your measurements taken at the gym which is great! at least later on you will be able to measure your progress that way.
I'm feeling a bit better, should be feeling like myself again real soon! and I am eager for it......I have lot's of work to do next week didn't think I would find myself saying this, but I actually miss my treadmill and dvd's!
Good morning everyone,i can't wait until monday, thats usually the day i weigh.i thinks theres a good chance i'll be down .i would love to hit my 20lb mark ,but we'll have to wait and see on that one.i probaly won't be down that much this week ,but i'll keep my fingers crossed. How is everyone else doing.
28/2 forgot to w/i!
weighed in on Friday instead, I was "up" 1.3KG (2.9lbs)
7/3
14/3
21/3
28/3
I'm happy to report I have exercised every day so far with the minimum of 20 mins. I'm VERY proud of that! Even last night I didn't feel like it, I came here and looked at the things I had said to others and decided, it's what I DO so I did it anyway!!
I'm not worried about being up - my pants are falling off of me, my face isn't as "full", I know things are shifting
I'm sorry I haven't been here to greet people personally... I just started a new job (and ended the old one) so it was a bit hectic to get in and read all the posts! I'm glad to see this is an active thread though!
Had an AWESOME work out on Friday, 45 mins cardio, burned almost 500 calories and worked my butt of on the tread mill and spinner thing at the gym. Mom mom has joined with me. She's not overweight, but is going mostly out of support for me. My daughter has an ear infection along with a chest infection, so she is on two different anti-biotics right now. Fun fun... My son Joshua is sick as well, but not as bad. Jane's fish is a brand name "janes" products are supposed to be a little healthier for you. They also have chicken fingers. I got them on sale at costco. they bake theirs instead of deep frying and the fish is breaded instead of batter. I wouldnt eat it all the time, but when i feel like cheating on my diet, these satisfy that craving, without the extra calories. i am a little discouraged though. My scale at home is a weight watchers scale, and it says i am 235, and i've moved it all around the house to make sure it's not the spot on the floor throwing it off, but the gym scale says I'm 242. My mom weighed 135 at my house and the gym??!! I've also caught the flu now, so Im thinking that while i am still going to do my best to aim for 15# in march, I will be very proud of myself if I lose 10. So I've updated my signature for 10# and if i go to 15 great. I just dont want to leave it at 15 and be disappointed.

I can't beleive tomorrow is March 5th! As far as I am concerned, winter is over! Even though we are due for some arctic air in a day or two, it wont last!
Amy, good luck with the weigh-in tomorrow....and to all who are weighing in tomorrow. I think as of today, we still have a whole 4 weeks left to this month, great!
Velveteen, congratulations on keeping up with your 20 min. exercise plan! good going! As for your temporary gain, and I am sure it is just temp. (we all know how deceiving the scale can be sometimes) your focusing and seeing your progress and results in other ways, and that is just fantastic!
Jellybeanz, hi : ) That indeed is an "awesome" workout you had on friday! Sorry to hear that your not feeling well and wishing you and the kids a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself and just concentrate on getting better first, I know it can be very frustrating (is for me) but in the long run it pays off when we recover fully or speed the process by resting a bit. I think that is so nice that your mom is joining you at the gym! : ) Thanks for the info regarding the Jane's fish, etc.
Regarding the scale issue, that would drive me nuts! My best suggestion would be to go by one scale only!!!!! yours! scales can vary quite a bit and dealing with one of them is difficult enough, let alone 2! I would only continue weighing myself on the same scale . As for your mom weighing the same on both and your varying to such a degree? No idea! Only thing i can think of is that you had more clothing on as usual, water retention, etc. etc. ....I would just call it a fluke and let it go, forget it, and just continue to weigh in on your scale from here on in. I only weigh in once a week , otherwise I would go crazy with the fluctuations! I think maybe in the beginning way back I would do that periodically just to see how my body was affected by certain food etc. and that is the only way or reason I can see how it was beneficial to me, after that.........no dice! As for your weight loss goal of 10, I think that's a great number I will be very happy with that as well. Keep up the good work and feel better.
Ml, how was your weekend? As for me ladies, this past week was no picnic but I am back and ready to roll! I'm breaking out the big guns for this week! keep up the great work all, we still have 4 weeks , which is super!!!
I look forward to hearing from you all, keep on truckin!!!!!!
I see these everyone has had their up and downs last week, but no sweat. Monday is new day and always a great way to kick it in gear and show your body that you mean business.
This weekend has been so long. Those that don't know, I'm a bartender. So I tend to work really random hours and Fridays and Saturdays are extremely busy and tiring. I worked 16 hours straight this Saturday. I had a 15 min break to eat a salad but that was about it. I noticed at work that my pants seemed to feel kind of of big. I didn't know if they had just stretched out or what the deal was. So when I got home around three o'clock this morning and I just felt that I had to weigh myself. 175 lb!!!! That is a 21 lb. weight loss since 12/26/06. and 4 lb. last week. Anyways I woke up this morning and still couldn't believe it. So I started trying on clothes, all of my jeans and 2 pair of dress pants too big. (normally during the week I only wear certain pants at night to work in and sweats or workout pants during the day) Usually jeans depress me because they really just don't fit. But I wore a pair today with a big smile on my face! My goal for the rest of the month/April 2nd is 10 lb. Four weeks left, so I think my odds look good!
jellybeanz...get better darlin. Make sure that your body rests and take care of those kidos. Nothing is worse then your children being sick, you feel hopeless. It's so great that you mom joined with you. Having a workout partner is great motivation. I love spin class, it's a major kick in the butt! I am starting Wednesday!
Catstounge...maintaining is great. You didn't gain, so it's as last week never happened! I had a dream about doughnuts Saturday morning. I though about it for a couple of hours but opted for a bowl of fiberone™ and a 60 cal yogurt.
FSA...I am so sorry but what is haddock? I always see you talk about it but I have no clue! Hope everything is doing great!
Ok now, whether you had loss or gain last week, you just have to dust those shoulders off and try it again! Monday is a fresh start and a new opportunity! "We can do this! We will do this!"
Good morning everyone.I weighed today and i have lost 4lbs this week .I am so happy to be out of the 230's.i only need 1lb for my 20lb mark .
Way to go Madi on the great loss.you are doing great.it must be so good to try on clothes that are too big.
Hope everyone else has a great weigh in.
ok I weighed in and didn't lose but I maintained, so I'm happy with that. I had no idea what was going to come my way, but I was ready for it. Pigginpodgey I WILL see a loss next week too Let's go girl.
Ml and amy, congratulationssss on the 4 lb. loss this week way to go ladies and one heck of a jumpstart! We still have 4 weeks to go.
Madi, Haddock is a type of fish. Pretty much the only kind I eat (though I like flounder too). It is white fleshed and light and flaky in texture, it also is mild in flavor. I forgot to mention to you last time that I love your ticker with the beach and hulagirl
Keep up the awesome work everyone and wishing everyone a good weigh in and keep in mind what our ml said , " Ok now, whether you had loss or gain last week, you just have to dust those shoulders off and try it again! Monday is a fresh start and a new opportunity! "We can do this! We will do this!" yesssssss, new day and a new start. Right on!
hi all. I weighed myself today and 232 so that's a loss of 3# so far. woohoo. had an ok weekend, didnt stick to a diet 100%, but i didnt exactly over indulge either. I plan to weigh in on monday mornings, so my final weigh in will be april 2. With that in mind, I am more and more confidant that I should be able to reach my goal, and maybe go further.
FSA thanks for the words of encouragement, I cant figure it out either, and im not going to bother. What's 5# in the grand sceme of things when Im looking at 100# to lose right!
ML congratulations on the accomplishment!! Im so happy that you are nearing your goal. I dont envy you being a bartender, those hours are hard on the body, but It's great that you manage to lose weight and keep motivated. It must be very tempting to grab something quick to eat on those days.
Have a great day ladies. I am off to the gym tonight. I plan to do the same work out as last week, maybe a little more. I go to the dr for my 6 week check up tomorrow ( my little guy is 6 weeks now), so he will tell me how hard i can push myself at the gym, and once i get the go ahead, I plan to up my work outs to an hour of cardio, with 1000 calories burned each time i go to the gym.

Jellybeanzzzzzzzz, I was about to log off and saw your post. That is fabulous congratulations on the loss! Keep up the great work. ok, I better get a move on and start my workout. Catch you all soon.
Hi ladies! I just thought I would stop in and see how the weigh ins were going so fare.
congrats to amy and jellybeans, that is awesome girls, keep it going!
Kudos to FSA and Pigginpodgey. A week with no weight gained is a great week for me!
jellybeansz...i can't believe that your little one is only 6 weeks! That is CRAZY. I lost 30 lb the first 6 wks or so because of breast feeding. I didn't start doing any kinda of exercise until he was about 6 months. I had a c-section, so I moved as little as possible. So good for you! I actually am a bartender at TGI Friday's, so not eating bad there is EXTREMELY hard.
amy...if that didn't work, go to tickerfactory.com
I don't have time for them gym today, so it looks like tae bo for me!
