Hi Holly glad to hear your back on that wagon, it is hard when you fall but I have faith that you will be right back on track and loosing in no time!! You look awsome in your new pic!!

Hi Lisi, Amy, Amie, upswife and everyone else that I cant think of right now, lol...

How did everyones Thanksgivings holiday go? Mine was nice, just me, hubby, our 4 boys and my mother and brother, small and nice and not to much to cook, just the way I like it, .....I only made 2 pies which between my hubby, brother and the boys were gone by that night, good I say, I had a small sliver of the apple and that was it, other than that I did good eating, surprisingly, I actually lost 2 lbs over that week, yay!! Of course Ive gained 1 of those back, up and down up and down, thats me, a dang yoyo, lol.....I really want to loose at least 20 lbs by June of next year though, VERY do-able so that is my aim!!

Well I should get back to work, hope everyone is doing well, take care and Happy Holidays (hehe, thats cute)

Hiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so glad to hear from someone. I was just here yesterday, checking to see if it was the e-mail or actually no posts.

Everyone check in immediately. We miss and need you.

Thanksgiving was quiet for me. Now I'm in a crunch to lose as much as possible by our vacation 12/22. Well, it might be last minute, but its still motivation. Happens yearly and is worse than a visit to my mother.

elyse

they did add some cute ones

Hello ladies...I too have been MIA. Just have lost motivation these days, but for Thanksgiving I did really well...it was just the following weekend that did me in. I really need to get back in the good eating and going to the gym, but having sick little ones and a cold myself have pretty much put a stop to that. Although only temporarily. My goal is to lose 8lbs by my b-day at the end of jan. I will have to make up a new tracker. ((hugs)) to all

I thought I had killed the thread!

I'm closing in on 2 months of calorie counting, and closing in on 10 pounds lost (9.5 as of this morning). I'm really pleased with that. I know some people can lose so much faster than that, but I'm trying to make sustainable changes and, for me, certain things aren't sustainable. Like last night, I was craving craving craving something sweet. We had a couple of cookies in the freezer and I ate one and it was so satisfying. I still had around 1500 calories for the day, so it didn't hurt my calories. I have to make sure I make those sorts of compromises, just so I don't convince myself that I'm punishing myself for being fat.

We got a new treadmill and I am in love with it. I'm reading Laura Ingalls Wilder while I walk. I've never read the books before, if you can imagine that!

Ok, now we're getting somewhere.

Julie ~ rofl, and of course "sustainable changes" are the way to go.

Ellen ~ good-o on Thanksgiving. Sounds like you're about ready again.

Elyse~Ty for asking but it wasn't' too bad only about 6 inches of snow. On Friday we did have a few problems because our power went out, but it was only off for about 2hrs. I packed up the kids and headed out to my moms house, because it was pretty cold in here. Just waiting to see if we get anymore. the temp lately has been around 9 degrees.

On a weight loss front, I am not sure what is happening. I really want to get started again, just finding it difficult to regroup. I have set Monday as my deadline to get my rear in gear again. Even if some of the kids are still sick I can exercise at home, which is better than nothing.

Have a wonderful weekend all!

hi Lori, Lisi, Ellen, aphil, amie, and welcome Eiluj!

I've been exercising well for at least half an hour 6X a week; I feel more muscle strength in my arms and core, yay! Have cut down on calories; just need to work on making the calories all healthy ones. And need more water.

I find it so interesting (well, plain weird!) that when I was just about this weight, 4 years ago, I had no shape at all. Now I'm this weight, but don't look as bleh as I did then. I do know for a fact that in my avatar pic, I was not under 150 at all, closer to 155 even (shrug)

anyhoo, hope everyone's doing well, and exerting self control over the holiday treats that are EVERYwhere!

Hi gals,

Well nothing new going on here, trying to get all this shopping done, usually I look forward to it all but I have yet to get into the "holiday spirit", at least I got the house decorated with the kids and the tree done and I have gotten 2 of my 4 boys all done but I have to wait until the end of the week to get the other 2 boys, my hubby, my mom and brother done and that isnt going to be much fun with work and making deserts and breads and goodies with the kids because we are having our Christmas this coming Saturday, looks like Im gonna be one busy momma, but you know I think about it and I do enjoy it because before I know it my boys will all be grown and on there own and have there own families and then I will be begging them to come over, LOL....So even though I am going to be running around like a mad woman between thursday night and saturday afternoon I will sit back afterwards and love every minute of it!!!!! Hey maybe I will drop some lbs, hehe, gotta try to find a light in that tunnel somwhere, LOL

Hey Holly, so happy to hear of all the hard work you are doing to get back down to your goal, you are inspirational to me and I have a hard time believing you was over 150lbs in that pic, you look awsome in it! I knew you would get right back into the swing of things though, good for you

A big HI to everyone else and if I dont get back in here before the holiday then I hope all of you get what you want, have fun, go easy on the sweets and make sure you all wave to Santa as he flies by........

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!

Hey ladies...I am trying to stay in gear as well with the holidays. I am trying to keep treats to minimally damaging ones-light meat turkey, veggie trays, candy canes (50-60 calories-I have one to pacify me when I am trying to refuse a 450 calorie slice of pie!!!) and so on...

Well, Christmas is kicking my butt, diet-wise. I'm glad it's only once a year. Saturday and last night were big dinners with family. The rest of the week should be fine, but some damage to my waistline has already been done, dagnabbit!

Helloooo all,
I was down to 212 again but then went off. Had lost a couple of lbs in anticipation of Ski Trip, and while at moms which is boot camp. But then we cancelled the skiing due to warm weather, and I relaxed. Vigilance is necessary!!!!!!
I so want to lose weight by 9/26/07 and get off all the bp meds yay!!!!

Hello all,

How is everyone? New Years resolutions all set in place?

Whats mine? Well of course, same one, different year, to loose this weight and get healthier! Isnt that always everyones??

I gained about 3 lbs over the past 3 weeks, so time to get that off plus some! I am on a new regimin of 5 small healthy meals a day and at least 4/60 minute workouts each week, I want to loose 1 lb a week. My goal is to be down 22 lbs by June 1st, that is 22 weeks away and I know a lb a week is very doable, I feel more motivated this time around though, its hard to explain, I'll keep ya all updated! My hubby and I are also going to try and quit smoking, let me rephrase that, we ARE going to quit smoking. Makes me nervous though cause I am afraid I am going to go right to the snacks (I have poor will power) I will try really hard though, my motivation is there right now so..... We are going to take the money we usually spend on cigs and put it in a savings account and that is going to be our trip to Alaska that we both are dying to take, so that is the motivation, well along with knowing we will both feel better and have more energy!

Amy how is that baby doing? He must be getting so big now.

Holly ~ Hi, how are things in VT? I just spent New Years weekend down there with friends, gotta love that weather,

Well hope you all are well......

Until next time,

Lori

Hi all,
Yes, I'd still like to be hearing from this group also. I'm watching for ya. I've got my goals going too. The main one is to weigh 156 by 9/26/07. I was just hearing how its best to break it into smaller goals. So I'll think on paper, That's 56 lbs. 3/26 is my birthday and around that time we hope for a Spring Break visit from the kids. About 11 weeks. 20 lbs by 3/26 = 192 by 3/26.

Gee, I guess I have to take the action now. Need a support group. Anybody lurking out there?
