but last night a good friend walked with me....we planned Friday nights now as that is her only time....at least something to look forward to, the other nights we just gotta do our own thing. BUT YEAH!!! with walking with a friend, we walked for 1hour, walked 3.3miles!!! my foot had some pains here and there, but was fine. After I got home though had hot compress on it as it was not feeling too well.....will go for an hour walk tonight too.......
My plan.....walk one hour a day at least 4-5times a week, drink my 2.5-3L of water a day and IF I need a Coke, once a week (though drinking it again lately has given me bad stomach issues!!). After a week or two with that, I will go back to watching my food......though test and try things here and there. I can't do it all at once or I give up too easily
BLAH!!! it is raining now, but still early in the AM....praying that 4-6pm no rain!! my kids play ball and run around at a school while I walk the track!
K9, sorry about your foot surgery....sitting and not able to do much is just awful!!!
Hello, this is my first post in this thread. I'm doing a mix of IF and calorie counting, eating as healthy as I possibly can on a limited budget. Three weeks ago I cut out soda, candy, and bad snacks in general. For a long while, I got a lot of my daily calories(and then some..) from junkfood.
I started seriously counting calories last thursday, and so far, I've been doing good. A little too good! lol I've given myself a daily limit of 1600 calories, and I'm having a hard time reaching it every day. Most days I barely reach 1300 calories. When I exercise, I eat a little bit more, but I'm just not hungry. Although I've lost some weight, I'm worried I'm doing more harm then good? Can anyone weigh in on this? It would put my mind at ease, for sure. (I am taking a multivitamin every two days to get any nutrients I may be lacking.)
I'm sick today, but I did manage to eat 1200 calories. I'm surprised; I hate eating when I'm sick lol
I will probably check in here once a day. I'm enjoying having a community to talk about my weightloss with. It certainly makes you feel less alone!
I have been logging all of my food & water intake, along with my exercise for over a year.
I think it is time to take a break from all of this madness!
I have become severely obsessive & it's becoming counter-productive for me.
I'll still be lurking around the forums.
Best of luck to all of you on this very difficult journey
The past two days have been less than stellar for me. Ugh, just when the scale was def moving down I overeat the cals. Why do I do this? Just shoot me.
Back to it . . . I just have to kick myself and stick to my plan. 1400 cals is my daily goal.
b/l: coffee, picante/cheese omelet, small bagel w/natural p. butter - 500
s: greek yogurt w/strawberries: 175
d: homemade burger (no bun), homemade fries, small piece of homemade rice krispie treat: 700-800
Total: 1400-1500
Welcome Penguin!
K9 -- totally understand needing a break but don't break too much; don't slide backwards. Hope to see you around.

Hi! I'm new here. I gained about 10 pounds in my first 2 years of grad school, from stress overeating when working late at night. I'm getting married in December and want to be back to my pre-grad school weight and get the overeating in control. So the past week I've been using myfitnesspal to track calories and have been at 2200-2300 per day and even that felt restrictive lol!
But today I'm going to try really hard to stay under 1600. Hold me accountable please! I'll check in again tonight.
I woke up today, still feeling sick. My husband called me down to join him for lunch at the restaurant we live above. They make really good food, but it's not the healthiest thing out there. I got chicken strips and french fries, and I ate maybe half of that. I don't think I'll be finishing my leftovers anytime soon, so I think at most I ate 800 calories.. We'll see how that plays out lol
Add in my gatorade and I'm at 950.
Edit: Ate some more, so I'm probably a little over 1400.
I have to keep reminding myself how good I feel the day after I've been OP...maybe that will keep me from going off plan! Yesterday was spot on with 1400-1500 cals.
------------
