DG, I lose pretty slowly now, too, but I'm happy with any new number on the scale. Congrats on the weight loss...you are getting close to the 100 lbs lost mark!

Well, I didn't get myself out the door in time to catch the morning workout, so I'll have to go with the afternoon crowd if I don't want to skip a day. I'll see how the day goes, and decide later. I have a lot of yard work and more work to do on the chicken coop construction, so if I'm on a roll with that, I might just skip the workout today or do my own thing at home. I hate to miss a day, but I've got a lot of weedwacking to do today, so my neck and shoulders might be cryin' for their mamas after a few hours of that torture. Actually, the crossfit workout is starting to sound more appealing every minute, compared to weedwacking, lol.

So, since I'm stuck home this morning, I could report what I got done yesterday on my rest day. I got the mower running, so got a good portion of the too-tall grass mowed down, made some more progress on the chicken coop construction, and clipped my sister's yorkie/minpin dog. Oh, and laundry, lots of laundry, dishes, and other housework thrown in there...just catching up on all the stuff I neglected this past week. So, a pretty productive use of the day off.

PC, yeah I'm stoked to get the fresh eggs again. Now, if the weather would only cooperate, so I could finish the thing! (I have to do the cutting outside, and playing with an electric saw in the rain is probably not a good idea, lol.)

Just checking in before I head to the gym. I actually got up on time this morning, so I could have a little lazy time to read 3FC and drink my tea. Weight is up from TOM, but other than that, all is well, OP and feeling good. Time to get ready now... Later, peeps!

WOW Barb. You look amazing.

Lori - yes it would be great to finally get a forever wardrobe.

Jam - I have not had any shoe size changes but my co-worker has had that problem.

Phatcat - congrats on getting out of the 190's WooHoo.

I was a little sore in the back yesterday from Monday's lower body and back strength exercises so I took it easy yesterday. Still did get some exercise in but very little. Today was much better. I started with the 30DS and core exercises. Then since I had the day off I got a ton accomplished. I took my husband to two dr appts (he cannot drive due to seizures). Anyway his bipolar meds have not been working that great lately so we are switching meds. I hope this works since he has been really emotional lately and just a wreck. It is hard sometimes to calm him down. We also got him new glasses, went mother's day shopping and did some other shopping. I also did a little work (so not totally a day off). Then I went to the gym and jogged for 55 min (5 miles). I know I could have done more but the gym was closing. I am really amazed at how far I have come with the jogging in such a short time. Tomorrow night is boot camp and those are killer exercises - especially the ab section. I think the abs are my weak spot. I don't have many problems with the upper or lower body or cardio sections of the bootcamp - just the abs.

Hi to everyone else. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week.

Jorie, congrats on the running...you are fast, if an 11 minute mile is "jogging" for you, or I'm just slow, it's probably me. I've been working on my sprint distance, though, to try and improve my running speed. This morning I did a 100 meter sprint, then after a short break, went as far as I could, and got just over 200 meters, or something like that. It's an improvement, anyway. I figure I'll work my way up, and see if that helps me overall speed. Mostly, I run out of air if I go faster than a slow jog, so I'm hoping the sprints will help in the long term.

It's past my bedtime, but my sister called just as I was getting ready for bed. We chatted a while, and then I was awake again. So, I'm going to go lay down and see if I can sleep, so I can get up on time again tomorrow. Today was great, because I got up on time, and got to the gym early. I had a nice long warm-up, and worked on some skills practice with the sprints, some olympic lifts, and played with the gymnastics rings. It was much more relaxing than being late!

Hi CC Friends!
Sorry I haven't been around much this week. It's been non-stop busy! Thank you so much for the kind words about my pictures. When I look at it I find it hard to believe that it's actually me!

I'm continuing to struggle with the scale, but I know it will move again. My period just showed up....a few weeks late so that my have contributed to the issue. Along with a few other things. This weekend may be a shock to my body....could be good...or not.

Tomorrow morning I am flying to MN to spend the weekend with my best friend of 20+ years. We are celebrating his 40th Birthday. I'm leaving my husband home with the kids and enjoying a few days to myself! I will pre-confess....there will be some food and drink indulgences this weekend...but there will also be LOTS of exercise. My friend is a crazy work-out person too and we have sessions planned with his trainer along with some cardio kick-boxing and hiking on Sunday. Hopefully everything will balance out for a good time with little damage.

I will be back late on Monday and will catch up with all you wonderful people as soon as I can!

Have a safe, fun and healthy weekend!

Barb

Oh MY GOSH BARB!!!! You are a Hottie! Wow, so cool!

I keep forgetting to check in. My computer time has been limited lately due to many projects....Jamsk8er...we've been working on our chicken coop too. Now what are the odds of that? LOL We are putting a new roof on the house and the chicken coop. The chicken coop will have a green tin roof. It will look so cute when it's done. I guess I shouldn't say *WE* are doing it, we hired a professional roofer, but to reduce cost, *WE* are the cleanup crew. It makes for great exercise!

My original goal for this challenge was to lose 6 pounds by Memorial Day, I changed it to 10 and have made it to 8 gone. Hopefully I can get the last 2 off, but if not, well... it's not because I didn't try! I posted this in the mini-goal section, but I might as well yell it from the rooftop everywhere...today I hit 50% body weight gone!

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mom's and I hope everyone has a guilt free weekend!

Lori B, mine isn't big enough to require a roofing contractor, thankfully. Mine is actually just a two part tractor right now, with a "coop" portion where I can put roosts and nest boxes, to keep them safe from predators at night, and a portable run that fits onto one side of the coop. This winter, the plan is to have the old puppy kennel area securely wired in for chickens, and predator proof, then I can just move the coop portion into that, and they'll have a large covered run for the winter, plus the extra protection of the small coop for night time. Now, if it would just stop raining long enough for me to finish the thing, I'd be happy! For now, they're tooling around the front yard in a funky rigged up combo of a dog crate, a bunny cage, a sawhorse, and some chicken wire, lol. I'll be happy to get them moved into something more secure! WTG on the 50% BW gone, wow! That deserves a Flamey!

Kit, congrats on the 8 lbs gone! You are off to a great start!!

Barb, have fun this weekend...we'll need a full report on all the fun exercise, of course!

Lori, and hope you feel better. I've got to get out the door to the CF gym now. We just did a killer metcon yesterday, so I'm hoping for a lifting day today. (that's my favorite part)

Dang, you all must be busy, but I've got news on my challenge goal for the push-ups. Today I got 7 in a row on my first set, chest to floor, on my toes, perfect push-ups! woot! I'm doing both sets of 10 all on my toes, but that is the most I've gotten strung together without having to give my arms a rest. My second set, I only got 3 in a row before I got stuck on the floor and had to rest, but then I did 4 in a row, and 1 and 2, to finish my set. Not quite there yet, but I'm getting closer! I'm still hoping to get the 2 sets of 10, unbroken, before our deadline for this challenge! Tomorrow, I will tape my hands up and work on my pull-ups. Now, that one, I've got a long way to go with!

Lori, thanks! I've been working on the evil push-ups for a while. Still hate them, but a little less than I did this time last year, when I couldn't even do 1 push-up from the floor.

I did not get to practice my pull-ups with the blue band today. We had 45 pull-ups as part of our workout today, and I had to use the green band for that, just so it wouldn't take me all friggin day to do them. Maybe Monday!

Today I was trying to get over to my sister's to work on cleaning her roof, but didn't get home from the gym in time to get over there. So, I stayed home, and since it was not raining , I worked on the chicken coop. I actually made some good progress on that today, and may even be able to finish it tomorrow, which would be great!

I have a full day at home tomorrow, and the gym is closed, so it will be chicken coop, laundry, and whatever else I can fit in there without going mental.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
