Well, I sure went off track, yesterday. I start feeling confident and dare I say it... A little full of myself over how well I am doing and I end up eating the house down. To the tune of an estimated 2900 calories for the day. Yikes. My poor tummy still hurts. But, I am determined not to beat myself up or to hate myself for it. I just need to remember that it happens. Will happen from time to time and better to learn from it and move on.

Back on track, today and feeling better.

Awww... Tinky. I remember what it felt like, buying a "For my Husband" card for the first time, too. I practically waved it around, so everyone could see that I was buying a card for my husband.

You must have ESP because for the past couple of days I have not been here but I have been thinking that 1600 calories would be a good place to start at so I have adjusted my Deal-A-Meal cards to that amount.
This weekend I will pick up a calorie counts book. I already have measuring cups, spoons and a digital food scale

(I sure wish we could get the CalorieKing book here in Canada but we cannot and I don't know why)

good to see you around too Zenor! lots of familiar folks after a long recess.

Well, I was going to see how a glass of red wine with dinner would go. As lovely as its been I succumbed to a second glass last night. A little too good! LOL so after I finish this bottle I may have to not buy any more for now.

Its been 2-3 weeks of healthy eating (unrestricted calories) and I finally got the energy to take the kids out for a small hike today. It went well and we took the water backpacks with healthy snacks, fruit and WW bagels.

It's nearly impossible to work up a sweat at toddler pace but there were a few moments of faster stroller pushing. A start, right? lol

I'm hoping to start making these day trips more often and increase all of our activity around here.

Well the scales were playing games this morning one time said 173.4 the second said 174.1 so I dunno. I either lost 1 lb of my vacation weight or .3 whatever both steps in the right direction right. My nanas funeral was weird the funeral director was late so so was the urn. so technically my nan was alate for her own funeral...isn't that the joke for people who are always late lol. anyways we waited in the rain for over an hour. then we went out for dinner and my uncle was crabby and mean..he always is but it drives me nuts. anyways then we got stuck in traffic so driving hom usually an hour and a hlaf was over 2 hours. oh and to top it all off my hubby got off work early and drove all the way to my moms to pick me up because he wanted to see me and the baby. one crazy day let me tell you!! today I got up my toilet is broken for some reason so I have to life the lid off and pull it from the inside to flush. I ate all bran bited for breakfast did 20 min turbo jam and 17 min of ab jam, I am reall yhungry now but I am gonna wait until the baby wakes up to have lunch. talk to you all later

Hey everyone.

I hope that you are all having a good on track day. So far, so good, here.

Had a bad day on the 26th. Bleck! Did well on the 27th and yesterday.

Coolmom, it sounds like a good start. And little ones keep you on the move. You are probably getting more exercise than you think.

Dgramie, that isn't much of a gain and could be water weight or a sproing inside your scale.

Had a good, Op day, yesterday. Calories were: 1235.

Have a terrific Saturday, everyone.

I'm on track. Work/school is back in full swing and I've been crazy busy. The awesome thing is, my new eating habits seem to be solid so it hasn't been suffering. I've finally come up with a nice one-two punch of protein water and a protein bar for those longs days when I can't stop to eat.

I've also finally trained myself to go work out when I'm stressed out. it's the best thing ever when I'm feeling maxed out and it'll help the weight loss! Even if I am drop dead exhausted, I find myself getting up to work out because I know I won't sleep well if I don't get some exercise in there somewhere.

I'm still losing the weight from my 'binge' day last week, but it's a pretty steady progression so I am happy with it.

It's worth every cent.
I checked that out. I would have to order 50 (or more) of them to get it by mail.
I only want *one*.

I know it is worth every penny. That is why I want one so badly.

I've worked out my calories on my Deal A Meal cards to approxiamately 1610 calories.

This gives me:

10 one-ounce servings of proteins. (approx 75 cals each)

8 servings of vegetables (approx 25 cals each)

4 servings of fruits (approx 60 cals each)

4 servings of fats (approx 45 cals each)

3 servings of starches (approx 80 cals each.....I'm going with starchy veggies mainly with this...like parsnips, sweet potatoes and yams and later on I will incorporate rice and wild rice since I tend to want to overeat those)

Now I just have to go shopping.

cwoman- i dont know if you can get string cheese in canada but its a stable for me. I can eat just one 50-70 calories and it really holds off the hunger. It seems to be the best protien for me snack wise.
I also saw packs of flaky salmon yesterday at the grocery store yesterday..i plan on getting one to try.
im still kinda bummed over the gain even if it was small. I know i have to get my bottom back to daily exercise. I so want to lose 40 more lbs by the end of jan.
hope everyone has an awesome day..my son is coming home and my daughter in law is due in 7 weeks and im so hoping to get to feel the baby move today.
hugs to all
