btw. I feel obliged to apologise if I am not using English properly, it's not my native language, and this is first English-speaking (well, writing ) message board I feel comfortable to write to

So, for future reference, sorry if I use an expression wrong or if something I write sounds rude, it's just a misuse of language, and not my intention to hurt someone.

Thank you

First, don't feel guilty about an ice cream cone. This journey we are taking to a more healthy thinner us isn't about doing without. Nothing wrong with an ice cream cone here and there. We eat healthy, we get the required amounts of the four basic food groups in and we exercise. Side effect to all of this, WE LOSE WEIGHT. I love fit day. I put everything in so I can see that I have eaten what I am suppose to eat for the day. I put my snacks in too. As long as we have the fat carbs and calories left after we have our required foods eaten there isn't a thing wrong with a snack. Snack = no nutritional value lol mountain dew and m&m's are my favorite snacks lol.

Walking count as exercise, I SURE HOPE SO. If it doesn't I am doomed lol. I do 8 to 10 miles of walking/aerobic videos a day for my exercise. I add in about 40 min three times a week of resistance training.

You seem to be doing great with English. This is how I look at things on the net. If someone says something and it can be taken two ways. I take it the way THAT DOES NOT hurt my feelings lol.

What do I know. I have been told I don't have a life since I clean house all the time lol.

Lynn
I keep telling my kids. When they made a bike seat the size of my bottom I will ride bikes with them lol.

Walking is supposed to be one of the best forms of exercise there is!

Plus its free, requires no equipment, scales to your fitness level....its free! lol

Hmm I don't think I can let myself view snacks as no nutritional value, I eat 2 or 3 snacks daily plus 2 or 3 meals.....I would SSSOOOO love to snack!

Oolong~ I had ice cream as a treat today too! Don't feel guilty about it! You did just what you should have, you fit it into your daily calories. Great job!

I walk for exercise, so you bet it counts!

Welcome Oolong, I think your english is great! I have ice cream too, I had it once this week it was a lovely treat.

I am sore this morning after spinning last night, I had forgotten how much hard work it is. Still, I had a great time and will be booking a spot next week. The class was small, only 6 of us and there was another lady who was a newbie so I didn't feel like the new kid in class. I had a cute guy help me with my bike too .

I got on the scales this morning and I'm at 190! This deserves a . I'm happy with this especially seeing as yesterday was a very high sodium day. Tonight will be a small cheat night, having brats for dinner and a little potato salad but will balance that out with some green beans.

T.G.I.F I am so ready for the weekend!

Oolong ~ I have to agree walking is my only form of exercise and your English is fine.

Shy ~ You are to funny about the bike seat.

I had ice cream once this week I just made sure it was just a little.

Lynne ~ That was good that there was someone else new. Enjoy your reward meal, sounds like its something you like. I really like brats also but I have switch to faux brats, they are good, still not the same but good. Before the faux brats I would by the turkey brats, they are not bad either.

Stayed the same today which is a normal cycle for me. I always lose Monday - Wednesday with a stall on Thursday and if I stay with my plan I can usually lose a pound or two over the weekend. Sad but true this is a rarity.

Well, DH went to the doc for his results and we may have a slight eating change going on in our house. DH's sugar is slightly elevated and the doctor said to cut back on the sweets but the truth is he eats a lot of carbs and what he doesn't realize is carbs raise your blood sugar. So tonight I will have to explain what can raise your blood sugars, sweets are not the only culprit.

The only other thing of concern is his Graves Disease is acting up and he needs to take his medicine again. Now I know how he lost the 20 lbs. When that acts up his thyroid runs to fast and weight loss takes no effort what so ever. He said he is tempted not to take the medicine until he loses another 100 to 120 lbs. I said "I don't think so" because its not healthy.

I also decided that NO, I am not giving up dairy. I skipped dairy yesterday with my snacks and I binged on sugary treats last night and I was famished when I got home and had to have an extra snack. Apparently dairy helps me in some way. The binge could have also contributed to the lack of weight loss. I didn't eat anything bad but just more calories than I normally take in.

Well I better get going and I will talk to you all later.

Irish ~ Do you have a blog or anything that would allow you to post? I personally don't have a clue how to set them up or how to post them but that was just an idea. I am not sure if places like photobucket.com allow video posts or not but they might.

Thank you all

irish - I'm from Croatia nad I bet you all don't even know where it is? It's understandable, we're just a tiny dot on a map
btw. I hope you'll send us all a signed copy of your cd when you land a record deal seriously, you sound great
if you don't pass your audition, we'll all send them hate mails, right, ladies?

well, ladies, I'm going to my boyfriend's home town for the weekend, for his nephew's baptism. and there are going to be huge amounts of meat of all kind and unhealthy food and candy and cakes and chocolate
I don't like meat all that very much and grilled meat coated with oil...blah I know I'll fail my calorie plan because how can I not eat if I am at two hour baptism feast?
I just hope noone will watch me eating, because when I take just a small amount of food, they don't stop untill I take some more
I just hate when everyone is counting my bites of food.
after one lunch, his mother told me she could never guess how little I eat, and I'm so big. I know she joked and meant nothing bad, but still
I hope I won't come back home with 10 pounds extra weight

how do you deal with family dinners and celebrations? any advice?

oolong: Take as much as you feel comfortable with and make as good of choices as you can in the situation. Don't listen to anyone else. My in laws always try and push dessert on me and make jokes like...its a birthday and your not gonna eat cake how insulting I know they are joking but it bugs me because of how hard it was to turn away food to begin with. Stay strong we are hear for you. also thank you for the comment on my songs oh and I do know where croatia is we learn alot about geography and different cultures here in canada. its funny I find we know alot more about other countries including the states then they know about us

Irish ~ I think you sound fantastic! I can't even carry a tune unless I am singing with someone else. I like Irish and Celtic also and would like to find out more about the culture since I am mostly Irish and German.

Oolong ~ I have hear of Croatia but I have not a clue where it is. The party sounds like a blast and maybe you just say you don't feel the greatest or that your to full.

Well I am off for the weekend and I will talk to you all on Monday. Good luck Irish, I will be thinking of you.
