Dumplin...there must be something in the water. I hita big milestone today too. 35lbs gone, 35.2 to be exact which puts me just over my half way mark today. It has taken me much long to get here but I am at peace with that and am no longer focusing on the exact date I will get to goal but that I am working towards it all the time.

To the bakers...good luck, we will be waiting after the weekend to see how you get on. Just think of it as working for blue team. It will make a difference to mondays weight in.

Dora..it sounds like that detox is sure working, but I know I couldnt swollow that concoction, more power to you for doing it.

Im all ready showing a nice loss for the week. Here is to two wins in a row.
GO BLUE

My body also escorted me out of the 230's today with a 3 lb loss since yesterday. Crazy stuff, but I'm not complaining! THese are the times I have to remember for when we're doing the day in-day out scale dance with no rewards. The crown is OURS this week team!! Huah!

Strangely, I was absolutely FREEZING last nite while trying to sleep. I could NOT get warm, even tho I weight lifted right before bed and should have been warm from that. Had all my jammies on with a sweatshirt & socks with flannel sheets and 2 blankets and still had to get up after an hour or two and turn the heat up, when I couldn't sleep for shivering. Not shivering sick, just bone cold. Has anyone else experienced this prior to a big flush of the weight? I'm doubly excited bc lifting usually has my muscles retaining water for the next morning's weigh-in, plus, tom is due so I should be up 2-3 lbs for that. Exciting times!

Hi Blues! Just passing thru

Kori-check out this website http://www.mytights.com/mytights/advice/extra.html they have extra tall legged tights!

Last year I finally got some tall boots that fit over my wide calf...I love them. I've found that if I have a fashion problem, surely someone else in the world has the same one!

Hi Blues........

Haven't been around much lately, sorry! But my dad is now out of hospital so hopefully I'll start to see a bit more free time and I can catch up!

Hope everyone is well!

Hi Blues!
We are back in the winner's circle! Yeah team!

I have been very busy this week. I went to a conference and, ahem, gained a pound. Actually, it was three pounds, but I pushed water for a couple of days and all of it went away but a pound. I did not weigh in on Monday...did not want to post a gain for my team so I took a freebie. So much for all my good plans from last week. But, as Scarlet would say, "Tomorrow is another day!" I am back on track and learned a lot from my stumble at the conference. Stay away from the dessert buffet! Eat the mostly vegetable dishes. Drink water at every opportunity. Just because it's free doesn't mean you HAVE to eat it!

Sportmom-congrats on the three pound loss and for making it out of the
230s! You are on your way!

To all you cookie and cupcake makers-Tis the season to be jolly! The smell of fresh baked cookies is heavenly. Maybe I will make some cookies for my students next week. Then I can have a couple and give the rest away!

Techiemom-I am glad to hear your dad is out of the hospital. It sounds like you have been just where you needed to be!

Note the avitar picture of me...I figured out how to put in a photo! The picture is from about 15 pounds ago, during the summer. I now have short, curly hair, less of a double chin and a decidedly smaller belly.

Well, last night was a sleepless night, so it is time to go to bed. Did you know that chronic sleeplessness causes you to gain weight? I have read that in a few studies. A lot of the weight I am carrying came on when I was a graduate student...go figure!

Sheri

Good morning! (or evening, wherever you are!)

I can hardly believe it but I can post a loss this week! Today's weigh-in: 184. I think that is a pound down since I was last able to post a loss that wasn't after a gain. So count that as one for the team!

GO BLUE TEAM!

I went off plan for the first day in 38 days last night. I worked out hard all day and ate on plan and then i don't know what happened.. it started withfatfree/sugar free pudding.. and then there was toast and natural peanut butter.. i NEVER eat at nite.. bt i def made up for it last nite. My ticket goes back to 0 days binge free this morning...
I remember thinking last night while waiting for the toast to pop ' I dont care if my ticker goes back to 0.. i want the dang toast!

At least my weight didn't flucuate. Im up for the week.. but that's mostly because of the hospital and the stuffthey pumped me full of. Hopefully I can get my weight back to where it was my monday morning.

Good morning, ladies!

This week seems like it flew by, because I haven't stopped moving since Monday! I had 8 million errands to run, cookies and brownies to bake for a bake sale, working out to do, social events to attend, and last night, when I got home from work, all I wanted to do was relax.

So, when I got home, my roommate had ordered dinner - spinach and pizza rolls (which are in egg roll wrappers and fried) and a bacon cheeseburger calzone. I was so tired and worn out, that I went crazy on it! I had one of each of the spinach and pizza rolls, and a quarter of the calzone. (and then didn't work out, because of all the greasy and fried food in my stomach)

You know what, though? I have come to a revalation - I don't feel guilty about it! It was the first time in 7 months that I've eaten like that, it was 100x better than what I could have eaten 7 months ago (The whole calzone and 2-3 spinach rolls); and I felt really gross after, to remind me not to do it again! So today, it's going to be back to lots and lots of water, and much healthier choices (as well as a gym session!)

I also, like many of you, have been roped into baking this weekend. Sunday is the unveiling of my father's grave marker, and we're having a bunch of family over afterward. So, my mom asked me to make ginger snaps, and one or two other kinds of cookies. Also, to put together some deli platters for her. I think the deli may be more of a problem to me than the cookies! I may also try to put together something healthier, too, like a homemade hummus and/or tabboule salad.

*sigh* it's going to be a long weekend.

I am really pumped up today . I hit my 50lb loss this week and something about that is such an awsome feeling! I am ready to carry on!!! I just wanna keep moving so those numbers keep going down!

I will be at a concert tomorrow night! Sugarland and Kelli Pickler will be performing (someone else also I think not sure) . My family share a love for music . My Dad taught me to play the guitar at 15yrs old . I was singing songs like How Great Thou Are and a song my Dad had wrote about his Mother when I was only 6yrs old at our little Country Church! Music has been such a big part of our lives . My Dad played lead Guitar, Banjo. Mandolin, Drums,Piano, etc. My nephew now plays lead for us. My daughter (can I brag) has a voice Unbelievable! She sang Lee Ann Rimes song one night in front of a crowd " I wanna Be A Cowboys Sweetheart" this song has alot of yodeling in it . She got a big appause each time she yodeled! She does "I will Always LoveYou" and reaches those high notes unbelievable! We also have a Karaoke machine at home that is alot of fun!

I just fold them up and put them in a ziploc bag in my purse.
That is a great idea...Thanks!

This weekend I'm going to make cookies for a certain presidential candidate's campaign office volunteers here in town. They keep asking me to come be a caller/canvass for them, which I am not comfortable doing, so instead I am going to make them cookies. I figure any way I can help is good, right? I share this because I usually eat a good 4 cookies' worth of dough and another 4 cookies' worth of baked cookies when I bake... I am unwilling to do that this weekend, not only because I just recently got back OP and don't want to fall off this soon, but also because the cookies are supposed to go to other people, not to my stomach! So on Saturday I would appreciate lots of "don't eat the cookie dough, Jaime" vibes.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Congrats for going to the gym early!!! Do not eat any cookies...Do not eat any cookies...well maybe one!!

That is great. But just think it could have been a lot worse besides toast and pb.

Well that last few days have not been good food or workout wise. I haven't workedout for a week now. I can tell I feel more lazy and useless. This weekend I wont have time since I will be having motorcycle riding lessons Sat & Sun. Monday morning I am getting my big butt out of bed at 4:30 and workingout. I'm sure I will feel much better when I do. I can also tell I haven't been eating good, since I am craving a salad. That doesn't happen often with me. So for lunch today I am going to get one. Have a great day everyone. More then likely I wont be on this weekend, but I'll see everyone Monday Morning!!!

I'm with ya on that Dumplin! I've recently committed myself to staying on plan on the weekends! So I will gladly make the promise to stay on track this weekend!

I've already had my weigh in for this week but it will mean good news for next week.
