Starting weight: 261.6
Challenge goal weight: 231.6
Final Weight: 243.6
Total weight loss: 18 lbs
Starting size: 18 (very tight)
Challenge goal size: I don't really worry about sizes, just weight
Final size: comfy 18

Finish the sentence:

The reason I joined this challenge was... to try to get a boost in my weight loss and to receive/offer support.

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was...staying on plan during the relaxed summer.

I overcame it by...still struggling, but getting a lot more exercise since the challenge started.

My moment of biggest triumph was when...I was able to get back on track when I feel off.

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was...fresh veg's from the neighbors.

My favourite way to exercise during the challenge was...hiking

One thing I love about the RED team is that...they are SO supportive.

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been...to put more effort into it

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is...stick it out for the long haul -- come on and post the good, the bad and the ugly

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is... ???

The next step in my weight loss path is...be more consisent and take more time to really stick to my WW.

I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for participating in this challenge -- I can't help but notice from the original sign up list just how many people dropped out. You all deserve a pat on the back for sticking to it for the whole challenge, when I'm sure there were days most of us felt like we wouldn't make it. I know I didn't reach my too aggressive goal but I also know I wouldn't have lost the 18 pounds I did lose without your help!! Enjoy the rest of your summer and hope to see you in the fall on the fabulous red team again!!

And -- if my math is right -- I did lose 60% of what my goal was -- not too bad.

I dont think I checked in yesterday...shame on me!

Danielle LOVE the attitude!!

Okay survey:
I'm gonna skip all the stuff about weights because it wouldnt be fair, I've not been focused on weight for nearly the entire challenge. Any losses have been insignificant so no need for me to dwell on them and my lack of focus.

Finish the sentence:

The reason I joined this challenge was.
..SUPPORT, motivation and commoradary

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was... LOL!! this has been a ROUGH year for me beginning in April. So LIFE has been my biggest obsticle

I overcame it by
...seeing a doctor and time

My moment of biggest triumph was when.
.. realizing I'm not a failure

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was... garlic scape pesto

My favourite way to exercise during the challenge was... HULA HOOP!

One thing I love about the RED team is that... we never gave up!

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been
... to get my focus and keep my focus the whole way through!

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is
... participate with your team! You can never realize how much you will get out of it.

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is... I'm insulin resistant? LOL!

The next step in my weight loss path is... SB diet, treatment for Metabolic Syndrome and the YMCA!!!

Height: 5'6"

Default

Starting weight: 146.8 lbs
Challenge goal weight: 130 lbs (was originally 125 lbs, but was trying to be more realistic)
Final Weight: will weigh in tomorrow morning
Total weight loss: will let you know in the morning
Starting size: shirts - size Lrg or XLrg; pants/shorts - size 10
Challenge goal size: Fit comfortably into my 8s again, but would love a size 6 again
Final size: shirts - Medium (feels good to be back to my old clothes again), shorts/pants-my 8's are a little loose, but don't think a 6 would fit...YET

Finish the sentence:

The reason I joined this challenge was...I needed the support and accountablitity of a team to keep me on track. And I like seeing others succeed and like to help them as well.

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was...staying on track during the hot summer, I took a lot of time off of fitness, but am finally back in my groove, just sorry the challenge is almsot over when I got back on track.

I overcame it by...I signed back up for the WATP 10 Day Challenge to jump start me back into fitness.

My moment of biggest triumph was when...I learned to stay within my calories. When I first started, I was eatting over 2000 calories/day and still hungry....now I stay within 1200-1400 calories/day and feel satified all day.

A healthy food/recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was...ground chicken and ground turkey.

My favorite way to exercise during the challenge was...WATP dvds

One thing I love about the RED team is that...we were great at giving support to those who needed it and it felt great to see them succeed the following week because they felt good about themselves and the team.

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been...I would have stuck to my fitness plans each day, instead of slacking off so much.

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is...participate! your team needs you and you need them. without my REDs, I doubt I could have lost this much on my own, the accountability really helped me!

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is...when things/life get hard, just workout and it helps to destress your body and mind. And to talk things out with people with you're having problems between you.

The next step in my weight loss path is...Stay OP with my food and keep up on my exercise. I had ambitous goals for July and fell short of them, so I set low goals for August....but have since upped my goals (about tripled them), to give me something to aspire to and make myself stay on a good track with weight loss!

The reason I joined this challenge was... For support & motivation

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was... being my own worst enemy!

I overcame it by... reading Bob Harper's book and following it to the letter! Thank you Bob, I you!

My moment of biggest triumph was when... I joined a gym!

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was... Okra & faux mashed potatoes

My favourite way to exercise during the challenge was... when I got going.... THE GYM!

One thing I love about the RED team is that... we never gave up!

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been... to have started Bob's book sooner so I wouldn't have wasted some precious weeks. AND, I forgot to take pictures before I started the gym--BIG mistake!

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is... POST POST POST! We want to help, we want to get to know you, we can't do that if you disappear!

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is... I CAN do this MY way!

The next step in my weight loss path is... continue working on clean eating, finding $$ (maybe out back on my money tree???) for extra training sessions, more importantly, just keep continuing to MOVE MOVE MOVE, and keep looking for support.

My moment of biggest triumph was when...I "accidently fit into size 16 jeans! I thought I had picked up 18's!!!

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was...Mangos!

My favorite way to exercise during the challenge was... On the Treadmill baby!

One thing I love about the RED team is that...We never give up and those that are truly dedicated are always there to lend support or a swift kick in the rear!

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been...Avoid Binge eating.

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is...POST POST POST! Do not be intimidated by how many people are on the team and posting. Write little side notes is need be. Get to know your team, Share your struggles with us. Don't feel like you have to do personals and Don't beat yourself up if you don't show a loss or have a gain on weigh in day.

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is...It's ok to mess up. It's not the end of the world.

The next step in my weight loss path is... Remain op & exercise. Read Bob's book!

Wow, it doesn't seem like time for the challenge to end. I have loved spending time with all of you. It has been a wonderful challenge for me! I wish everyone luck in the new challenge next month. I will actually miss being a part of it!

Starting Weight: 143.6
Challenge Goal Weight: 130
Ending Weight: 129.0
Total loss: 14.6 lbs (11 weeks)
Starting Size: 10
Ending Size: 6

Finish the sentence:

The reason I joined this challenge was
to hold me accountable during those last few, stubborn, slow pounds and to to to help others along the journey.

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was how slowly the pounds come off at the end.

I overcame it by
persistence, and perseverance - staying OP even when the scale did not budge.

My moment of biggest triumph was when I hit my goal

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was frozen grapes - they have been a wonderful find this summer!

My favourite way to exercise during the challenge was walking and hiking. I love walking outdoors during the summer.

One thing I love about the RED team is the honesty and integrity of our team members. People were willing to share their joys and frustrations, which is what makes for a "team". I also loved our ability to re-group and finish strong when the majority of the team members had a couple bad weeks. You guys ROCK!

If I could do this challenge all over I again,
I wouldn't change a thing.

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is
to hold yourself accountable. Write down everything, post here often and use the power of the team to help you when you stray from your plan or need some encouragement or advice. You will only get out of the experience what you put into it.

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is that all that bull I gave myself about never weighing 129 again was exactly that - bull. I could do it, age and menopause were an excuse, not really stopping me from losing weight. I was stopping me - nothing else.

The next step in my weight loss path is maintenance. One month in and so far, so good

Thanks Roni!

Starting weight: 281.2
Challenge goal weight: 250
Final Weight: 278.4
Total weight loss: 2.8lbs....LOL!!
Starting size: 26
Challenge goal size: I didn't set one.
Final size: 26

Finish the sentence:

The reason I joined this challenge was...To lose weight, make some friends with people who have the same weight issues, and to get and give support.

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was...staying on plan with food and exercise, calorie counting, and drinking water.

I overcame it by...not letting my mistakes over come me. I never gave up. I also bought a 64oz water bottle and I make sure that I drink the whole thing before the day is over. As far as the calories counting goes...I just do it! For me, it's easier to stay OP when I know that I have to write down what I eat and add it up at the end of the day and let me just say...It feels really good to be in control of my food intake and to know how many calories I'm eating.

My moment of biggest triumph was when...I got back up again when all I wanted to do was give up.

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was...the lean cuisine, healthy choice and weight watchers dinners. I love them. I have them for lunch about twice a week. I like them because I know how many calories they are.

My favourite way to exercise during the challenge was...I hate exercise...LOL!! But if I have to pick one then I'd say my Biggest Loser DVD's

One thing I love about the RED team is that...You guys are so supportive!!!! It's really nice to know I can come here and talk to people who are going through the same exact thing as me. I've never ever in my entire life had that before. I'm so grateful for you guys!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been...I am gonna do this challenge again and the one thing I'm going to do differently is try harder!!!! It really sucks to have only lost 2.8lbs in 15 weeks....LOL!!! Especially when I know I could have done much better!

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is...No matter how hard it gets or how much you feel like giving up...DONT!!!! Another thing, try to get to know everyone on your team because you'll make some great friends along the way.

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is...I can do this! If this was me last year I would have given up already and I'd be much heavier then I was when I started. I know that I've only lost 2.8lbs during the challenge but my personal weight loss journey started in Feburary and since then Ive lost a total of 23lbs. That's such an accomplishment for me! As long as I calorie count, and never give up then I'll eventually reach my long term goal of 150lbs. I'm gonna do this!!!

The next step in my weight loss path is...to just try harder because I'm worth it. I know when the biggest loser starts again in September it's gonna be a huge motivator for me. It's what motivated me in the first place.

I hope were all together again for the next challenge. I've gotten to know some of you and made some friends along the way. I just want to thank you all again for your support and kindness!

Finish the sentence:

The reason I joined this challenge was...to have support on this journey of getting healthy.

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was...the same set back of yo yo weight.

I overcame it by...going on vacation. lol

My moment of biggest triumph was when...I lost those 7 lbs in a week, by keeping extremely busy.

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was...

My favourite way to exercise during the challenge was...walking and swimming

One thing I love about the RED team is that...everyone understands when things don't go the way we want them to. And the support and sisterhood is the best!!!

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been...I can't think of anything right now.....

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is...Come and post often, it's a great comfort, support and motivation!

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is...not to sell myself short, that I can accomplish getting healthy.

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was...I felt a little out of the loop at first

I over came it by....jumping right in!

My moment of biggest triumph was when...I fit into my size 12 jeans

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was...I didn't really try anything new.

My favourite way to exercise during the challenge was...running while watching Star Trek.

One thing I love about the RED team is that...everybody is so normal. I mean nobody is some super weightloss queen who does everything right all the time and makes me feel like a wimp.

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been...not scheduling a vacation the weekend before the challenge ended.....plus getting to know my teammates better.

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is...get involved!!

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is..........don't know about this one.......

The next step in my weight loss path is...try to get out of the 170s by the start of the next challenge, plus add more fruits and vegetables to my diet.

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was . . . staying away from sweets.

I overcame it by . . . changing my diet plan from counting calories to a pre-planned eating system (nutrisystem) to stop myself from indulging in my favorite foods, which led to me over indulging.

My moment of biggest triumph was when . . . I worked out consistently like I had planned for a whole week, which is unusual.

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was . . . yogurt.

My favorite way to exercise during the challenge was . . . to veg out on the elliptical machine while listening to my mp3 player.

One thing I love about the RED team is that . . . how supportive everyone is!

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been . . . to join the exercise challenge.

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is . . . be active in posting.

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is . . . I can't be jealous of other people's successes if I am not working on my own.

The next step in my weight loss path is . . . One perfect week, which means 30 minutes of cardio for seven days, two days of strength training and staying on plan.

Total weight loss: 2 pd gain
Starting size: 10
Challenge goal size: 8
Final size: 10

Finish the sentence:

The reason I joined this challenge was...to get support during my weight loss journey

The biggest obstacle I encountered during this challenge was...ME. I have really been struggling with motivation and stick-to-it-ness especially since my vacation.

I overcame it by...I'm working on it.

My moment of biggest triumph was when...I kept weighing in even though the mean metal monster was not kind. I did not quit even though I really wanted to.

A healthy food/ recipe that I discovered I liked during this challenge was...?

My favourite way to exercise during the challenge was...Zumba

One thing I love about the RED team is that...they are so supportive. Especially when you're struggling and feel like giving up.

If I could do this challenge all over I again, one change I would have made would have been...stay on track...how I would have done it, I have no clue.

My advice to people in future TBL challenges is...POST.....especially when you are struggling. Chances are you are not the only one struggling and kind, encouraging words from your teammates are priceless. Posting about your struggles is one way we get to know you.

One thing I learned about myself from this challenge is...I seem to do better with a concrete shorter term goal event.

The next step in my weight loss path is...I am on day 2 of calorie counting...which is something I used to swear I'd never do.
